1 Adverbs of degree:
• Answer the question how much or how little (the degree)
• Are used before an adjective or adverb
Example: Ali is tired. (This sentence does not tell us how tired Ali is.)
Ali is very tired. (This sentence tells us how tired Ali is.)
• Tell us how strong or how weak an adjective or adverb is
Examples: Eric is quite a good runner.
Tom is a really good runner.
John is an extremely good runner.
2 How to use adverbs of degree:

Strong adverbs of degree (i) Krishnan is very good at English as he got
Example: simply, very, really, 85 marks for English.
