Reading



The Petronas Twin Towers are 451.9 metres high. There are 88 storeys.
The Twin Towers are the highest twin towers in the world. They are an
icon to Malaysia. The two skyscrapers are a beautiful sight day or night.

The Twin Towers are used mainly as the office and headquarters of
Petronas Oil and Gas company. The towers are joined by a skybridge
at their 41 and 42 floors. It is probably the highest bridge in the world.

The observation decks at level 86 are very popular. Visitors can get
a view of the whole Kuala Lumpur down below. Learn about the history
and construction of the towers there.

Get a souvenir or two at the gift shop. Shop and dine at the malls and restaurants at the
base of the towers.

Malacca is the historical state of Malaysia.
The capital of this state is Malacca City. It has
a population of about 500 000. It is situated
in the west, near the coast. There are old and
modern buildings in the city. The streets are
narrow and crowded with traffic.

The city has become an important tourist
centre. It has modern hotels, big restaurants
and shopping malls. There are many
interesting places that have become the landmarks of the city. Some of them are
