This prestigious honor is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and consistent dedication to their studies. The selection of these students reflects their outstanding scholastic achievement, as evidenced by their perfect cumulative grade point average of 4.00. 9 ACHIEVEMENTS SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, is proud to announce that Mr. Poonnavich Suttipanich, a third-year student in the Electrical Engineering Program, achieved the Second Runner-up Award at the 9th Digital Design with FPGA Camp at CU. The event was held from 11 to 24 December 2025 and was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Design Gateway Co., Ltd., Silicon Craft Technology PLC, NDR Solution (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the Thai Embedded Systems Association (TESA).The Digital Design with FPGA Camp provided an intensive learning environment that combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice in digital system and circuit design using Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. As part of the program, participants took part in the FPGA Design Challenge Competition, which served as a platform to assess their technical expertise, creativity, problem-solving skills, and ability to apply advanced engineering concepts to real-world applications.Mr. Poonnavich Suttipanich’s achievement reflects his strong academic foundation, technical competence, and commitment to excellence in the field of electrical engineering. ACHIEVEMENTS 10NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYThe Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, proudly congratulates its students on receiving The Best of Track Award under the challenge “Next-generation Payment Solutions for the Financial Future” at Hack to the Max Season 2. This national-level competition was organized by the National Interbank Transaction Management and Exchange (NITMX), Krungsri Bank, and key partners within the Thai fintech ecosystem.The competition attracted more than 120 teams from universities across the country, with only 15 outstanding teams selected to advance to the final stage. Among these finalists, the SIIT team distinguished itself through its strong creativity, technical expertise, and innovative approach to developing digital financial solutions that address the evolving needs of the financial sector.As a result of their exceptional performance, the SIIT team was awarded a prize of 10,000 THB. 11 ACHIEVEMENTSSIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, is pleased to announce that Team ZER0 GRAV1TY, representing the Computer Engineering Program, School of Information, Computer, and Communication Technology, has achieved the Second Runner-up Award at the 7-ELEVEN YOUNG GENIVERSITY 2025: Bootcamp & Hackathon.The competition was organized by CP ALL Public Company Limited, the operator of 7-Eleven and 7Delivery, in collaboration with Mission To The Moon, and was held from 1 to 5 July 2025. The event was conducted under the inspiring theme “Success Starts Here! Build Your Best Workplace – Let’s Wake Up and Build Success Together,” bringing together talented students from across the country to propose innovative solutions for future workplaces.The SIIT team—Ms. Pitinun Wiphumitsitsakul, Ms. Natnicha Sujarae, Ms. Yanticha Pahuwattanakorn, Mr. Nonprawich Intakaew, and Ms. Lapitsala Chimpad—received a cash prize of 40,000 THB for their innovative project entitled “CP ALL Earnership.” The project introduces an intrapreneurship platform designed to empower employees at all levels to become proactive changemakers within their organization. 13 CONGRATULATIONS SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Congratulations to Chatchamon Phoojaroenchanachai, the SIIT graduate from Electronics and Communication Engineering Program (EC), on receiving the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship (Embassy Recommendation) to study for a doctoral degree in a university in Japan. The selected university and program of study will be announced in January 2026 and Chatchamon will start her journey as a research student in Japan in 2026.The MEXT Scholarship is the Government scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. ACTIVITIES 16NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYOn 7 May 2025, the Admissions and Public Relations Division of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, warmly welcomed more than 40 guidance counselors from high schools across the country to participate in the A Day with SIIT event. This event, organized for the first time, was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of the institute’s academic programs, admissions procedures, scholarship opportunities, student exchange initiatives, and international collaborations. In addition, the participants were given the opportunity to visit SIIT’s classrooms, libraries, computer facilities, and engineering laboratories, allowing them to gain firsthand experience of the institute’s learning environment and resources. The event also served as a platform for meaningful discussions on future collaboration and partnership, with the aim of strengthening long-term relationships between SIIT and secondary education institutions nationwide.


17 ACTIVITIES SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The Alumni Association of Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (ASIIT), Thammasat University, organized the “Ryder Cup: SIIT vs TEP-TEPE 2025” at Windsor Park & Golf Club on Friday, October 17th, 2025. The event aimed to foster stronger relationships among SIIT alumni and featured a friendly Ryder Cup–style competition between SIIT alumni and TEP-TEPE members.All proceeds from the event, after deducting expenses, will be contributed to the Alumni Fund for the Development of Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology. The fund is dedicated to supporting educational initiatives for SIIT students in the future.On 26 April 2025, the School of Bio-Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, provided a valuable opportunity for high school students with a strong interest in Chemical Engineering to participate in ChE Explorers 2025. This engaging and educational camp was designed to introduce participants to the field of Chemical Engineering through immersive learning experiences and hands-on activities. The program aimed to enhance students’ understanding of fundamental concepts, applications, and career pathways in Chemical Engineering, while offering them a unique opportunity to explore the discipline in an innovative and inspiring learning environment. Through this initiative, SIIT reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talents and encouraging future generations to pursue excellence in engineering and technology.


ACTIVITIES 18NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYThe Admissions and Public Relations Division of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, warmly welcomed students and teachers from various schools to the Rangsit Campus for an institutional visit. The visit was organized to provide participants with the opportunity to explore SIIT’s academic and research facilities, while also gaining comprehensive information about the institute’s curricula, teaching and learning environment, and admission procedures. Through this visit, the participants were able to develop a clearer understanding of SIIT’s academic offerings and educational pathways, further strengthening the connection between the institute and secondary education institutions.


19 ACTIVITIES SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY On October 24, 2025, at SIIT’s main building, the International Affairs and Corporate Relations Division organized the “SIIT International Night” with the theme of “Colors of the world.” Its aim was to promote cultural exchange among international and Thai students. This year, SIIT extended invitations to students from various Thammasat University faculties, as well as faculty members and students from The Sirindhorn International to participate in this event. There were approximately 300 participants this year. Highlights of the event included performances from the Recreational Creative Association of Thammasat University, SIIT Music and Chorus Club, SIIT Dance Club, performances from SIIT international students (from SIIT international, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bhutan, Cambodia, Poland, and Pakistan), international food booths (from Thailand, Germany, France, Denmark, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia), and the papaya salad contest. The winner was Mateo Barbey from France, an exchange student of SIIT.


ACTIVITIES 20NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYThe SIIT Orientation Week for New International Students (Second Semester, Academic Year 2024) was successfully organized by the International Affairs and Corporate Relations Division on January 13 and 16, 2025. The program was carefully designed to provide incoming students with essential knowledge and a smooth transition into academic and campus life at SIIT.On the morning of Day 1, students attended a comprehensive orientation session covering important information on campus facilities, academic regulations, student services, and visa procedures. In the afternoon, participants joined “Thai Study Day,” an engaging introduction to basic Thai language skills and cultural insights, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of local traditions.On Day 2, students took part in a guided campus tour led by the dedicated SIIT Buddy System team, offering an opportunity to become familiar with the campus environment and connect with fellow students.This semester, SIIT is proud to welcome more than 59 international students from 21 countries who have joined both longterm and short-term programs. We extend our warmest welcome to all new members of the SIIT community and wish you a rewarding and memorable journey filled with academic success, meaningful friendships, and enriching experiences in Thailand.


21 ACTIVITIES SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) successfully hosted the PARE Spring School 2025 from February 10–21, 2025, bringing together over 26 students from 7 countries and faculty members from consortium universities in Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia.This year’s program focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with lectures covering several SDG’s under the theme \"Pathways Towards a Sustainable Future\" delivered by faculty members from SIIT, Hokkaido University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Mahidol University, and Kasetsart University.In addition to academic sessions, participants conducted site visits for water sampling in Ayutthaya, TU Tha Prachan Campus, and Samut Prakan, assessing the quality of the Chao Phraya River at its upstream, midstream, and downstream sections. These activities provided hands-on experience in addressing water resource management and environmental sustainability challenges.The PARE Program (Population-Activities-Resources-Environments) aims to develop future global leaders with the skills and knowledge to tackle sustainability challenges in Asia. Beyond academic learning, PARE Spring School fosters international collaboration and strengthens partnerships among consortium universities. The program also raises awareness about efficient resource utilization and the importance of sustainable development, empowering students to become key contributors in driving positive change for their countries and the world.The Admissions and Public Relations Division of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, organized the examinations for the Outstanding Student Program (OSP) as part of the admission process for new students for the Academic Year 2026. To ensure broad accessibility for applicants nationwide, regional examinations were conducted on 11 October 2025 in Chiang Mai, Phuket, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Songkhla. In addition, the examination for applicants in the Bangkok metropolitan area was held on 18 October 2025 at Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus. This examination arrangement reflected SIIT’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for talented students from all regions to pursue higher education at the institute.


ACTIVITIES 22NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYAssociate Professor Kriengsak Panuwatwanich, PhD Director of Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warut Pannakkong, Deputy Director for International Affairs and Corporate Relations, participated in the 15th Joint Management Committee Meeting of the Asia-Oceania Five Universities Alliance (AOFUA), held at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, Australia, from 10–11 July 2025.Established in 2018, AOFUA is a collaborative alliance among five leading universities in the Asia-Oceania region: De La Salle University (Philippines), Edith Cowan University (Australia), SIIT–Thammasat University (Thailand), MJIIT–Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), and Tokyo City University (Japan). The alliance aims to strengthen international partnerships and advance technological development through shared efforts in global education. AOFUA members work together to promote student and faculty mobility, foster academic collaboration across the region, and nurture future global leaders.As part of this visit, the SIIT executives, along with representatives from other member universities, also attended the closing ceremony of the AOFUA Camp Down Under 2025, hosted by ECU. The AOFUA Camp is held annually, with the responsibility of hosting rotating among the member institutions. This year, two SIIT students participated in the week-long camp, gaining valuable international exposure and cultural experience.In addition to the annual AOFUA Camp, students from member universities have opportunities to join student exchange programs among AOFUA institutions, further promoting intercultural understanding and academic collaboration. SIIT regularly nominates students to participate in full-semester exchange programs with AOFUA partner universities every year.


On 19–20 April 2025, the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, organized the SIIT Insight Camp 2025, an academic outreach activity designed for high school students. The camp aimed to provide guidance on higher education pathways while introducing SIIT’s international curricula in the fields of engineering, technology, and management. Through participation in a variety of carefully designed activities, students were encouraged to explore and identify their academic interests and potential strengths. ACTIVITIES 24SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYRepresentatives from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, participated in the Maldives International Education and Wellness Expo 2025, held on 14–15 June 2025 at Central Park, Hulhumalé, Maldives. 25 ACTIVITIES SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY On 7–8 November 2025, Thammasat University organized Thammasat Open House 2025, a large-scale outreach event aimed at providing students and the general public with comprehensive information about academic programs and university life. The Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, actively participated in the event at multiple venues, including Gymnasium 4, the SIIT Main Building, and the SIIT campus.The SIIT Open House activities offered students, parents and guardians, guidance counselors, and other interested visitors valuable opportunities to learn more about SIIT through a wide range of interactive games, informational booths, and hands-on workshops. Participants were also introduced to essential academic and professional skills required for future studies and careers in engineering, technology, and related fields. The event attracted thousands of visitors over the two-day period, reflecting strong public interest in SIIT’s academic offerings and reinforcing the institute’s role as a leading international institution within Thammasat University.


ACTIVITIES 26NEWS 2025SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYSix students from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) recently participated in the 12th Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Workshop at the Osaka Institute of Technology (Japan) from September 2-11, 2025. Participants from four international partner universities (Osaka Institute of Technology, Japan; National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan; Tongji University, PR China; SIIT, Thailand) were mixed and divided into teams to collaboratively design a smart autonomous vehicle with multiple functions, including automatic controlling, precise color recognition, positioning, and object smashing.Mr. Warit Rojdenduang (ME), Mr. Wizarud Choochote (IE), Ms. Wanitcha Saengbundit (CPE), Ms. Chanitsada Chuenchit (CPE), Mr. Ratchanont Chaisri (DE), and Mr. Chartcharn Sojikul (EE) were selected to represent SIIT at the PBL Workshop.The workshop was a resounding success, and SIIT will be participating in next year’s iteration. The SIIT team was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shu Han Hsu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chariya Kaewsaneha, and Dr. Tanyakarn Treeratanaphitak from the School of Integrated Science and Innovation.Representatives from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, participated in the China Education Expo 2025 (CEE), held from 3–7 November 2024 in Wuhan and Chengdu, People’s Republic of China. During the event, the SIIT and Thammasat University booth attracted strong interest from a wide range of visitors, including students, parents and guardians, as well as representatives from schools and universities. Numerous attendees engaged with the representatives to learn more about SIIT’s international academic programs, admission requirements, and opportunities for study in Thailand.SIIT’s participation in the China Education Expo was part of the university’s strategic efforts to enhance international visibility and expand its global student recruitment. The program was designed to introduce SIIT’s academic curricula, highlight available scholarship opportunities, and clearly explain the admission procedures through on-site visits to schools as well as participation in educational fairs and exhibitions. 29 COLLABORATIONS SIRINDHORN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY On April 3, 2025, the Director of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Achyut Prasad Wagle, Vice-Chancellor of Kathmandu University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uddhab Pyakurel, Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Kathmandu University, on the occasion of their official visit to SIIT.SIIT and Kathmandu University have maintained a mutual academic partnership since 2014. Over the past decade, both institutions have demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering academic collaboration that contributes to the advancement of higher education in the region.Notably, a number of Nepali graduates from SIIT have returned to their home country to pursue academic careers and are currently serving as faculty members at Kathmandu University. This is a testament to the long-lasting impact of the collaboration between the two institutions.With the strength of this growing alumni network and the shared visionfor regional academic development, SIIT and Kathmandu University lookforward to further expanding their cooperation in the years to come.On February 25, 2025, Assoc. The visiting students were primarily from the fields of Applied Physics, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering.The one-day program featured an introduction to SIIT and its Student Exchange Program, followed by a special presentation and laboratory visit at the FAME (Functional Advanced Materials Engineering) Research Center. During the visit, students had the opportunity to engage in a hands-on workshop led by SIIT professors, researchers, and graduate students from the FAME Research Center.The workshop encouraged knowledge exchange and fostered meaningful academic dialogue, allowing the visiting students to gain insights into ongoing research activities at SIIT and share their own experiences.The program was successfully completed and marked another fruitful step in strengthening academic ties and promoting international collaboration.

The event attracted participation from more than 60 leading Thai and international companies, representing a wide range of industries. These organizations shared professional expertise, industry insights, and career guidance with SIIT students, offering valuable perspectives on current labor market trends and employer expectations.The job fair provided an important platform for students to engage directly with potential employers, expand their professional networks, and explore internship and employment opportunities aligned with their academic backgrounds and career aspirations. Through this event, SIIT reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students’ career development and enhancing their readiness for the global workforce.From 6–10 January 2025, Dr. Adisak Seesanea, a lecturer in the School of Integrated Science and Innovation (ISI), Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a series of lectures entitled “An Introduction to Potential Theory.” The lectures were conducted as part of the Lecture Series on Analysis and Partial Differential Equations at the Department of Mathematics, University of Mandalay, Myanmar. The initiative aims to offer students both the knowledge and practical skills that align with the demands of the labor market.Currently, there are a greater number of SIIT students interested in participating in long-term internship programs (Extended Training). Therefore, this partnership with Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. presents a significant opportunity to expand the institute’s network of top-tier corporate partners capable of offering valuable hands-on training experiences for students.Furthermore, the agreement aligns with Thammasat University's strategic plan, which aims to have all academic programs incorporate internships into their curriculum by 2027.
