SYNOPSIS

The poem is about everyday objects which are
discarded and ignored because they are no longer.
The person is writing about some of the ordinary
everyday things. He has given a voice to the simple
things in life which we do not bother or do not take
seriously.
He has not written about grand a beautiful things.
He has turned everyday ordinary and unwanted
things into something special and created a poem to
bring this to our attention.

about himself as feeling sad when he compares
himself with the things surrounding him.

this suggests that he has faced rejection and feels
unwanted in some ways.

The discarded items apear to have been
thoughtlessly thrown away and forgotten which
represent the persona's feelings

The item's are considered unwanted because they
appear to have run out of use and this is similar to
the persona's situation where he feels that people
no longer need him. He feels unloved ny family
and friends.
