Introduction

Did you know snow is made up of
tiny crystals? Today you will learn

all about snow, where it comes
from and what’s inside a snowball.

It’s important to know this
information to keep you safe and

warm.


How do blizzards

form?

There are different types of blizzards.
When cold Polar air meets moist air it
causes blizzards. During blizzards there
are low temperatures, wind speeds greater
than 35 miles per hour and a lot of snow.

This how blizzards form.


What is snow made
up of?

Snow is made up of snow
crystals. Snow forms when
Temperature is 0 degrees.
Snow needs water to form.
Now you know what snow

is made of.


Where does snow
come from?

Snow falls from the sky. Snow is made up of water. When
the temperature is low that is normally when it snows.

Snowflakes are heavy. When winds are high it could form
a BLizzard. HIgh up in the clouds are snow crystals. It is

not frozen rain they are crystals. This is where snow
comes from.
