Madam cj walker was born on December 23 1867 in delta Louisiana.

What was her

childhood like?

• She got married at the age of 14 and 20.she then
became a widow. She then started to experimenting
with hair products and made many inventions.

Why did she start
her business?

• She started her business to manufacture the goods she made she
wanted to manufacture her inventions like her formula to straighten
curly hair. She quickly gained success locally and even change her
business name to Mme C.j Walker Manufacturing Co.

• She especially impacted an African
American women . Walker helped
simulate the cultural impact in African
