FUNDRAISING/THANK YOU The 20th anniversary season of Varsity
THE COACHES hockey was certainly not the season anyone
VARSITY TEAM expected, especially coming off last

STATS their future endeavors.
CAREER STATS Coach Woodrow completed his second
ALUMNI GAME season as Modified head coach since
HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER coming over from Varsity. Modified
ACTION SHOTS continues to thrive with the large number
CANDIDS of players participating in the program. The
MODIFIED TEAM team was fairly competitive. This season,
MODIFIED PLAYERS the team finally got new uniforms — no
CENTER ICE more of those old hand-me-downs from
CANDIDS varsity! The future certainly looks bright as
MHA SUPPORTERS a great group of young players make their
way to high school.
Much thanks to the other MHA Board
members and parent volunteers for their
support throughout the season. We do
need more parents to get involved and
lend a hand, though. Volunteering is critical
to the program’s success, recognition,
and continuing the mission of making this
program a fun and rewarding experience
for current and future student - athletes.
Lastly, it has been my pleasure volunteering
for this great hockey community the last 7
years. I’ve been fortunate to have met a lot
of great kids and parents and made lasting
friendships. The seasons go by fast so be
sure to cherish all its moments. Thank you
for your continued support of Mahopac

Varsity Head Coach Tim Donaghy
I wanted to start off by thanking the Mahopac “hockey family” and the whole Mahopac community for the wonderful support and
enthusiasm this season. Although we did not have the success we set out for, I remain proud of the hard work put forth by our
players. I want to show my appreciation for and applaud the players for their commitment during the season. Even though we did
not achieve all we set out to, the players gave themselves a chance to win nearly every game. Our record of 2-17-1 was hard fought
and against a schedule of very talented teams. It certainly does not reflect the effort or hard work put in. I would like to wish all of my
seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors. This group of seniors will be greatly missed. They have shown fantastic leadership
and have been positive role models for the younger players. I hope you make time in the future to stop by the rink as you know I am
almost always there. As for the returning players, let’s mirror the hard work of this year and next season we can hopefully obtain the
success you all deserve. We know that there will be holes left by the seniors and I am counting on some of you to fill those. I am
confident that you will work hard in the off season and be ready to grow in new experiences.
Thank you to the Mahopac Hockey Association for supporting Coach McGee and myself. Most of all, thank you for supporting the
hockey players. The time and hard work you put in for events like Hockey Fights Cancer Night, the Alumni Game, Chuck a Puck,
Car Wash, Bake Sale and the various other fundraising opportunities, does not go unnoticed. We are all very appreciative of your
sacrifices and we know organizing these events is no easy task.
Finally, I would like to mention what a pleasure it has been working with Coach McGee. We have built a friendship over the last
three years that helps contribute to a positive team atmosphere. I know we are both so pleased with the growth we have seen in our
players and look forward to continuing to build the Mahopac hockey program

After completing my fourth season with the varsity program, I am once again honored to be involved with such a great organization.
While our season did not produce the results we strive for and are accustomed to, it was still an enjoyable winter season. I always
looked forward to going to the rink for a practice or a game. I enjoyed watching our players grow as individuals and as a team. The
results were certainly not a reflection of all the hard work our team put in this year. As it is our goal each year, we will continue to
work tirelessly towards bringing a Section One title to the Pac. I would like to thank our head coach Tim Donaghy for all of the time
and passion he has dedicated to the team all season long. I am extremely confident when I say that Mahopac Hockey is in a great
place moving forward with Coach Donaghy behind the bench. He has established a culture of hard work and respect for the game
that is evident in the teams he has coached. Thank you Coach Woodrow for all of your time and efforts with our modified players.
I would like to thank the Mahopac Hockey Association for all of their continued support. We have a dedicated group of parents that
work diligently to organize and host so many important events including Senior Night, Hockey Fights Cancer Night, the Alumni
Game, as well as multiple fundraising events throughout the year. Our student athletes would not have the experience they do
playing high school hockey if it were not for you.
Lastly, I would like to thank the players that made this season so memorable. We, as coaches, appreciate all of your hard work and
dedication to the program. I’d like to wish the seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors. Thank you Sophia, Julia, Chase,
Danny, Aidan and Cooper for leaving the program better than you found it.
We hope to see you at Brewster Ice Arena next season and in seasons to come cheering on your alma mater.

COACHING STAFF
Modified Head Coach Michael Woodrow
When I returned to coaching last year I envisioned a future where Mahopac hockey is the envy of Section 1. As I looked around the
section I saw that the top teams all had a youth system that consistently developed hard working, intelligent, focused, and skilled
players. As I enter my second season, the number of players wanting to join this program helps to show me that I was right. This
community has the pride, desire, and passion to become the class of the section.
The Mahopac Hockey Family is one that I am quite proud to be a part of. The parents, players, and coaches of past and present
have done a fabulous job of developing a program to be proud of. The Modified program will look to continue this excellence
through growth. None of the greatness I envision would be possible without the support of the Parent’s Association and their
families. I once again thank you for all of the assistance. While I appreciate all of your support, I must briefly mention Craig Bricker.
This man has done everything he can for this team and the community. I know that his passion and work ethic are contagious and
will follow if he ever chooses to retire. As I have said many times, I view Modified as a stepping stone to the future and with that, I
would also like to thank Coach Donaghy and Coach McGee. Their continued effort and support is greatly appreciated.
I believe that when we reflect back at the end of the season, regardless of results, we will always be able to look ourselves in the
eyes and say we left it all out on the ice. Players will grow and learn and most importantly look to the future. They will envision
themselves wearing the Varsity jersey and push towards that moment. I embrace the challenges ahead and sharing all of the joys
that will follow with this wonderful Program.
GO PAC!!!!
Sincerely, Michael Woodrow

It’s hard to believe that it is already over, 4 great years of
playing for Mahopac Hockey. Through my high school
career, I have learned so many life lessons from so many
great people. I have made so many memories and
enjoyed most celebrating with the student section. Also, I
will never forget the great friendships and endless laughs.
To all future varsity players enjoy every single moment
because it will be over before you know it, work hard and
bring the section title to Mahopac!
Thank you to Coach Woodrow, Coach Lombardo, Coach
McGee and Coach Donaghy for always pushing me to be my
best. Cherish the people around you because they are the
ones rooting you on. Lastly, I want to thank my family for
everything they have done for me. GO PAC!

In the past four years, we have grown as individual
players and as a team.
We have been through it all together, but most
importantly we stayed together. I want to take this
opportunity to thank all those who helped us along the
way. We couldn’t have done it without you. I also want
to thank all my teammates for their support too.

My time with Mahopac Hockey was filled with
memories I will never forget. Even though I joined
the team my junior year, all of the older guys and
especially the coaches were very welcoming and
showed that this team truly is a family. I’d like to
thank the parents and also the Mahopac Hockey
Association for making everything more enjoyable
for all the players. I’ll miss my time with Mahopac
Hockey.

Time really does fly when you’re having fun. The past
6 years of Mahopac Hockey have truly been special.
Whether it was waking up at 5 in the morning after
Thanksgiving for a game at Ebersol or suiting up for
a playoff game with the whole Mahopac student body
watching, putting the Mahopac jersey on was something
special and made even more special with the groups
we’ve had here at Mahopac. The bonds, friendships,
and memories I have made throughout these years will
never be forgotten. Being able to skate with some of my
best friends is something I will miss. Being able to play
for Coach Donahey, Coach McGee, and Coach Woodrow
was a blast. Thank you to Mr. Bricker and the rest of
the MHA for building this program into what it is today.
Most importantly, thank you to my parents giving me
the opportunity to play the game I love.

Whenever somebody asks me how long I’ve been playing
hockey I respond with the honest answer that I’ve been
skating almost as long as I’ve been walking. With that in
mind, thinking that this year will be my last playing the
sport that’s been such an integral part of my life is crazy.
I can still remember every house, modified, pee wee and
backyard league me and my brother Jake played on
growing up. With that said, I am honored to have been
able to end this career with, hands down, one of the best
groups of guys I’ve ever played with. Coach’s Donaghy
and McGee, along with the rest of the team have made
playing for Mahopac a truly great experience. The best
advice I can give to the guys that aren’t graduating is to
make the most of the time you have left playing because
before you know it, it’ll be over.

I have played on the varsity hockey team for the past 4
years and have made countless memories that I will look
back on. I was very lucky to play with such a great group
of guys every year and although we didn’t have the
results this past season, we worked hard every day to get
better. I want to thank my coaches and teammates for a
great 4 years.
