Masvingo hosts Commissioner-General’s
Goodwill Trust Fund Golf Tournament

The Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Service (ZPCS) hosted an entertaining golf tournament. The tournament was held last Friday at Masvingo sports club.
The Commissioner-General’s Goodwill Trust Fund was launched in 2011 by ZPCS’s late Commissioner-General Retired Major General Paradzai Willis Zimondi to provide various forms of sup-
port to members of the ZPCS and their dependents.
The participants who included ZPCS golfers from around the country, golf clubs, companies, and individuals applauded the ZPCS for hosting such a tournament which enabled them to
socialize and get motivated to keep participating in more ZPCS golf tournaments.

Fidze resigns

from Una Una
ANCILLA GOTORE
MIRROR REPORTER
MASVINGO – Hubert Fidze who is also former
Masvingo Mayor has resigned as chairman of
Masvingo United.
He tendered his resignation on Tuesday.
Fidze confirmed the development but promised
to grant an interview at a later date.
Masvingo FC spokesperson, Omen Mafa de-
scribed the resignation as a blow to the club.
“We have lost a man who was determined to
see Masvingo United rise up the ladder. He
worked very hard together with his executive to
try and get sponsorship for the team. We wish
him the best in his new endeavors. We hope
that we will one day be rejoined at Masvingo
United again,” said Mafa.
Fidze became chairman of the club in 2020.
Moses Mavusa, the Club’s Vice Chairman will
be the acting chair until a substantive person is
elected.
Masvingo United is currently third on the East-
ern Region Division One League with 20 points.

Hubert Fidze.
