was shot while Washington County F.O.P.
responding to a call
involving a suicidal Lodge #69
person. His injuries
were serious but not
catastrophic. He was
shot in the upper left
leg and the top of his
femur bone was
shattered. In a formal
promotions ceremony,
Washington County
Sheriff's Lieutenant Ti
Augustine was not only
promoted, but he also

received the medal of merit award.

While his wife and others hail him as a hero, Augustine insists, he's not the one to
thank. "My fellow officers, brave people...I love them all. The community, the love and
support they've shown me, I don't deserve any of that. There's only one person that
deserves that, and he died on a cross for me," he said.

Lieutenant Augustine was able to complete his Buckmasters Hero Hunt by taking this
huge 141 inch 10 point buck at Little Flat Creek Ranches in Missouri.

rare kidney disease

opportunity to hunt

Last fall we got a call from local hunter, Ben Ball. He had taken his

neighbor bow

hunting and they

needed help

finding the deer.

Ben said “he shot

a pretty good

one” and “you’d

make an old

man’s day, if

you’d come out

and find this deer”. I couldn’t resist! I loaded up my dog, River, and

headed to Rogers, AR.

When I arrived I met Ben and 3818 Dakoda's Place - Springdale, Arkansas
he introduced me to Jesse
Gulledge. Jesse, Ben’s
neighbor, was the guy that let
the arrow fly. I didn’t realize it
at the time, because he was in
the driver’s seat, but Jesse was
a double amputee and this was
the biggest buck he’d ever
seen in the stand. We tracked
for about 12 minutes and we
found Jesse’s 12 point buck. He
was so excited! But, Ben was
probably the happiest person
there!

to also build long lasting relationships with them. This is the future of our
sport. We know that Colton will succeed in harvesting a deer in the near
future and we look forward to being by his side.
