BOOKING AND PURCHASING Before we went to Bangkok, we purchased a flight ticket. We do an online booking from the airline website. It's help us to do a price comparison from one website to another. We used an online banking payment method to buy a flight ticket. By: Nur Ain Amalina
ASIATIQUE THE RIVER FRONT Bangkok’s Asiatique Riverfront is a hive of activity, with vibrant vendors offering a wide range of goods, from delectable street food to handcrafted craft. Sounds of laughing and conversation abound as visitors and residents alike explore the lively marketplace. On the first day at Bangkok, we went to Asiatique Riverfront. There has a lot kind of food we can get. We specifically went to halal food court area. We got the chance to try their somtam, it’s very delicious. About the taste, it got the perfect balance of flavors, it’s sweet, sour, salty and spicy. For the drink, we got the pink milk tea, it has a taste like dutch lady strawberry milk. Unfortunately, we don’t get the opportunities to stay until night and watch sunset because all members already tired so we all went back to hotel. Location: 2194 Charoen Krung Road, Khwaeng Wat Phraya Krai, Khet Bang Kho Laem, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10120, Thailand Operation hours: 11:00a.m - 12:00a.m By: Nur Ain Amalina
ICON SIAM On the third day, we went to Icon Siam. Icon Siam is a centre of culture as well as a place to shop. The mall offers guests an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Thai culture by hosting cultural performances, art exhibitions, and workshops on a regular basis. Not to be overlooked is the food. Some of Bangkok's greatest restaurants, with a mouthwatering selection of Thai and other international dishes, can be found at Icon Siam. You can find both gourmet dining and street food here, depending on your mood. When we were at Icon Siam, we tried a seafood fried rice. Icon Siam's seafood fried rice is a culinary marvel that blends the freshest ingredients with skilled cooking methods to produce a dish that is incredibly flavorful. For the drink, I tried their chocolate drink. This classic drink combines creamy milk with chocolatey richness to create a warm and decadent concoction. Safari Day 2 Kanchanaburi’s Safari Park is a location of breathtaking scenery and thrilling adventure. The sound of exotic birds chirping in the trees greets you as soon as you step foot in the park, along with luscious greenery. On our second day, we departed from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi. We visited the Safari Park Kanchanaburi. One of the highlights of the Safari Park is a chance to feed the animals. As you hold out a handful of food, a gentle giraffe may come forward, its long neck reaching out gently take the offering from your hand. After CSR activity, we stop at the park’s picnic area, enjoying a meal surrounded by the sights and sound of nature. Other than a chance to feed the animal, we also got the chance to take a picture with giraffe and zebra. It is very fun and exciting experiences ever. Giant Monkey Day 2 The Giant Monkey Pod Tree in Kanchanaburi stands tall and proud in the heart of the city. Its branches stretch out like a canopy, providing shade and shelter to those who seek respite from the hot sun. On our second day, after we visit Bridge of the river Kwai & River Kwai train station, we went to the Giant Monkey Pod Tree. Underneath the tree, the ground is carpeted with fallen leaves, creating a soft and inviting space to sit and relax. The air is filled with the sound of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the gentle breeze, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere. As you sit beneath the tree, you can't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty of nature. The Giant Monkey Pod Tree stands as a testament to the power and resilience of the natural world, reminding us to appreciate and protect the environment that sustains us. WAT ARUN Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks, and there are several fascinating aspects. At the break of dawn, when the city of Bangkok stirs from its slumber, Wat Arun emerges as a silent guardian on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Its silhouette stands proud against the gradually brightening sky, a testament to centuries of history and spiritual devotion. At the break of dawn, when the city of Bangkok stirs from its slumber, Wat Arun emerges as a silent guardian on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. BREAKFAST DAY 1 For breakfast on the first day, Hotel Almas provides a wide variety of food. I chose to eat rice with black pepper chicken, stir-fried vegetables and mineral water. The food served is all delicious. The dining area is also comfortable because we chose to sit in a closed and air-conditioned place. at Almas Hotel Location: 12 Soi Ramkhamhaeng 5 (Rifaee) Ramkhamhaeng Road, Suanluang, Bangkok, Thailand Operation Hours: 24-Hour Front Desk Written by: Adilah This is the dining environmen and the ambiance was okay. The hotel also provides enough seats for its hotel guests so there is no problem for us when we want to eat. Spoons, forks, tissues and tablecloths are also provided on the table for our convenience.
BREAKFAST DAY 2 On the second day, we had breakfast at hotel. I had fried rice that morning. I ate a little because my throat hurt that day and couldn't swallow food well. I also drank mineral water hoping it would soothe my sore throat. At that time, I had a cold so my food tasted bland but I thought the fried rice was okay. at Almas Hotel Location: 12 Soi Ramkhamhaeng 5 (Rifaee) Ramkhamhaeng Road, Suanluang, Bangkok, Thailand Operation Hours: 24-Hour Front Desk Written by: Adilah BREAKFAST DAY 3at Almas Hotel On the third day, I had fried rice for breakfast at hotel. PLATINUM MALL (DAY 4) On the fourth day, we were given free time at Platinum Mall. We can shop and have lunch before leaving for the airport. There is a food court on the top floor. Like other malls, we need to change money into a card to buy food at the food court. I have chosen a restaurant called Classic Steak Burger because it has a halal logo. I have ordered spaghetti bolognese because I didn't want to eat rice. The staff also took our order in a friendly manner. Our food took quite a long time but it is due to many customers. For the overall food rate, I give 5/10 because it tastes a bit bland. Location: Soi Phetchaburi 21, Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand Operation Hours: 7.00 AM - 10.00 PM For drinks, I ordered at Fuku Matcha. The price is 85 baht. The stall is located at the entrance of the food court. They sell different types of drinks and we can choose the sugar level we want. I have bought Thai Milk Tea with 50% sugar. If in Malaysia, their stall concept is like Tealive and Coolblog. The stall is clean and tidy. The employee also completed my order quickly. Written by: Adilah
BRIDGE OF THE RIVER KWAI This location is suggested in the Kanchanaburi travel guide and is practically a symbol of the province. Since the bridge was a component of the railway lines during World War II and saw its fair share of fighting and bloodshed, its history is widely known. Beyond its historical significance, the bridge serves as a moving reminder of the fortitude and sacrifice made by those who constructed it in the face of extreme hardship. Strolling along its worn boards, visitors look out over the placid River Kwai and can't help but think back on the turbulent history that formed this peaceful present. As a representation of peace and reconciliation in the modern era, the bridge invites visitors to honor the past while welcoming the prospect of a better future. Before moving to Bangkok Kanchanaburi, I first print the identity card and passport. Next, we booked a flight ticket in the lecturer's room for that day and when we want to check in our bags, we check in all bags that exceed 20 kg, therefore we put the bag in the cargo so that it does not exceed kg in the flight. I set aside 20 kg for each person 10 kg Booking experience
TECHNOLOGY TRAFFIC LIGHT AT BANGKOK In Bangkok, I encountered a surprising innovation while crossing a busy intersection traffic lights with sound signals. These lights emitted distinct sounds alongside the usual visual signals. Initially curious, I found these sounds provided extra information for both drivers and pedestrians. A gentle chime signaled the green light, prompting drivers to move safely. I noticed these signals also improved traffic flow by reducing confusion and hesitation. Overall, this experience showed me how simple innovations, like adding sound signals, can greatly enhance road safety and accessibility, making our cities more welcoming for everyone. BY : NAQIYAH
