© Great Commandment Network II #EQUIP - Relationships 7 (D) Dear Brethren, We look forward to serving you through #EQUIP as a new strategic initiative of the NHCLC. Various resources, online training, and catalytic events are designed to support you and your church as you become “Equipped to Impact” your community and beyond through gospel living and a servant’s heart. “Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest…” (Matthew 9:38) We celebrate your next steps in living out the Matthew 9:36-38 challenge to: • ELEVATE the ministry of prayer (DisciplesPray). • ENGAGE and Equip believers in Whole-life Discipleship (DisciplesCare). • EMBRACE friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors with the life and love of Jesus (DisciplesShare). • 1 Thessalonians 2:7–8 Desiring to impart both the gospel and my very life. • Colossians 4:2–6 Ask God to help you make the most of every opportunity to speak about Jesus. Pray that you will proclaim Christ’s message clearly with grace and compassion. • 1 Peter 2:7–8 Jesus is the Cornerstone. He is the One by whom we set the guidelines and foundation for our lives. • 1 Peter 3:15 If someone asks about your hope as a follower of Jesus, always be ready to explain it with gentleness and reverence. • A Spirit-empowered disciple imparts the gospel and one’s very life in daily activities and relationships, vocation, and community. “Holy Father, I pray for You to guide me as You open doors and open hearts so that I may clearly and wisely testify about a relationship with Jesus. Help me share how He is the astonishingly valuable Cornerstone who forgives all wrongs and gives eternal life and hope. May I walk in Your strength, grace, and seriousness, responding obediently to You and being sensitive to others as I gently give an account for the hope that comes from Your place in my heart (1 Peter 3:15).” © Great Commandment Network 4 #EQUIP - Relationships 7 (D)

“I pray for _______ to see open doors and walk through them as he/ she responds lovingly to open hearts with clear and wise words. May these conversations help others readily turn from wrong and place their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior/Forgiver. I ask that Your grace be abundant as he/she shares vulnerably of life and the gospel so that others realize the great value of Who You are and all You are willing to give (1 Peter 3:15).” © Great Commandment Network 6 #EQUIP - Relationships 7 (D)

In “whole-life” discipleship, missional churches engage their members and reach seekers through giving priority to a Spirit-empowered faith which can be defined with observable outcomes using a biblical framework. The metrics for measuring Spiritempowered faith or the growth of a disciple come from Scripture and are organized/framed around four distinct dimensions of a disciple who serves from Ephesians 4:11–12. Therefore, the “40 Spirit-Empowered Faith Outcomes” have been identified and organized around: • Serving/loving the Lord—(Acts 13:2) L1-10. • Serving/loving His Word—(Acts 6:4) W1-10. • Serving/loving people—(Galatians 5:13) P1-10. • Serving/loving His mission—(2 Corinthians 5:18) M1-10.
