To them God willed to make known what are the riches ofthe glory ofthis
mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the 1zope ofglory.
Colossians 1:27

([ tudents whom I encounter in the classroom are often wondering: Why are we on Planet Earth?While
� this is a complex, esoteric question, perhaps we are here for a Kingdom purpose.

The Kingdom to which wehave been called is a Kingdom of God's glory. Our calling is directly related
to His presence. We are here to make His glory known-to express the presence of God. He wants to
"move around" and be seen and known through us,just like He moved around and was seen and known
in the Tabernacle of the Old Testament.

In fact, until this time, God's glory has been in a burning bush, on the face of Moses, in a cloud by
day and a fire at night, in a tabernacle, and in a temple. But God's glory is now in a new home. If we have
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then the hope of God's presence on earth now restsinsideyou
and me. God's hope of making His presence known down here is placed inside us-Christ in us, the
hope of glory.

Just imagine, you are the "home" for God's glory! What an incredible honor, blessing, and privilege.
You are to bear and express the glory of God wherever you go! "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever
you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). The Creator has a hope and desire for your life.
His heart is longing to engage you in divine purpose.

What thoughts and feelings do you have about being trusted as a "bearer" of God's glory? What does
it do to your heart to know that God is longing for you to extend His presence and express His glory?

Father, what a wonder it is that /-can express Your presence-Your life
and love-in my world; make me ever mindful ofthis privilege. Might Your
Spirit stir me often with gratitude, wonder, and praise?Amen.
