Dear Friends and Clients,

Chicago is back, and so is our bustling real estate market! From Gold Coast condos to
Lakeview single family homes, buyers and sellers are on the move, and sales volume has
increased dramatically across the city.

Gold Coast condo/coop sales of $700K+ increased nearly 300% from May 2020, with 31
sales this May vs 12 in May 2020.

Lincoln Park condo sales of $700K+ were also up over 300% with 66 units selling in
May 2021 vs 20 last year. Single family home sales of $1mm+ were equally robust with 31
selling this May vs 12 in May 2020.

Lakeview was consistent with the upward trend in sales volume as well. 31 condo
transactions of $700K sold this May vs 11 in May 2020. Single family homes of $1mm+
were also up, with 14 selling in May 20201, nine more than a year ago.

While the commercial real estate world comprising a great many office buildings has
yet to fully reignite, there are green shoots appearing. Opportunity buyers are emerging
from the shadows of the pandemic, as companies are beginning to call employees back
to the office. Optimism is growing.

As someone who has been selling real estate for 20 years, this past year has certainly
been a wild ride.
