Downtown Downers Grove Market

May 9 through October 17, 2020
Saturday, 7 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Downers Grove Train Station
5001 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515
South Parking Lot off Burlington Ave

Since the mid 1990s, The Indian Boundary YMCA has jointly sponsored with the Village of Downers Grove the Downtown Downers Grove Market. A group of
Indian Boundary YMCA volunteers work tirelessly each year to recruit vendors, staff the market and man the Indian Boundary YMCA information booth. Proceeds
from booth sales help the YMCA to enhance existing programs and to offer financial assistance to children and families to participate in Y programs. Last year,
more than 3,300 people visited the market during peak weeks.

Over the past four years the market has expanded to include more than seventy vendors. With this influx of new vendors, the Y has been able to expand the
market offerings. On a typical Saturday you’ll find everything you need to prepare your weekend and weekly meals including vegetables, fruits, cheese, eggs,
pork, beef and chicken, oils, herbs, honey, spices, dried fruit, salsas, pickles, peppers, breads, scones, cakes, cookies and pastries, natural soft drinks, coffees
and teas. If you’re hungry on the spot you’ll find breakfast sandwiches, donuts, popcorn, smoothies, lemonade and for your four footed friends - dog treats.

Decorate your dinner table or home with fresh cut flowers in a handcrafted vase. If you’re in the mood to shop for yourself or for gifts for others, there are a
variety of craft vendors who sell jewelry, garden ornaments, children’s books, children’s clothing, handbags, soaps and lotions, framed art, glass art, kitchen art,
baskets, gift baskets, wooden bowls, and toys.

If local community flavor is what you’re looking for, come and enjoy the music of local musicians, participate in periodic YMCA fitness classes, meet with the
Village Council, do your holiday shopping in October, visit with a friend over a cup of coffee and a scone and enjoy a variety of special elements designed to
enhance the market experience.

Carts are available for your use inside the market perimeter. They may not be taken off market premises.
