Perry is a sophomore at Mckinley High
school. She works at the local Chanel
store. She is very dedicated to her job.
Everytime she is working, she feels so
lucky because she knows how many of her
friends would love to work there, and do
anything for even working as a janitor
there. Usually, she has joy working there
and wants to be working but not today.

Last night on the news the weatherman had
said that there would be massive waves near the
beach. Perry was nervous because she had to
drive past the beach to get to the store.
Unfortunately that is the only way to the Chanel
store. Beside the situation Perry uneasily got
into her car and started driving to work. Perry
looked at the time in her car and realised she
was late. So she pulled over and decided she
was going to text her boss that she was running
late.

Perry started driving, and she looked at the
clock in her car, and realised she was running
late. She pulled over and was going to text her
manager. Perry had reached into the
passenger’s side of the car to text her manager
when all of a sudden a huge wave from the
ocean hit her car into the beach. The Wave
flipped her car sideways. Unable to get out,
another wave struck, this time barely missing
her. Perry fought with all her might slamming
her door.

She pounded on it crying. Pushing and shoving
her way out. From the door, there was a small
creaking noise. Perry heard the noise and regained a
small amount of hope. For a final push, Perry
slammed the door with all of the power that she had
flinging the door wide open! Perry slowly crawled
out of her car and finished her walk to the Chanel
store. She had teary eyes and wet hair and clothes.

She thought to herself, “What if he fires me? What

if I can't find a new job?” But all these thoughts

would soon fill her with relief. Luckily, the Chanel store
was only a block away.

As she reached the Chanel store, she
noticed a red glowing on the left side of the
store. She opened the door, and over 30
customers came running out, including the
manager. Who had the most angry face
Perry had ever seen. With a bright red face,
and a look that could wipe out a small village
in Africa.

When everyone was out of the building, Perry looked
inside of the building, there was a bright red boiling
fire. After the customers safely evacuated the
premises, her manager started to yell at not only Perry
but some of her co-workers, like Jessi, Terry, Mya, and
Jimmy, saying, “PERRY, THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE
HAPPENED IF YOU WOULD OF BEEN TO WORK ON
TIME!” Perry sat there with her jaw touching the floor,
She was not only ashamed of herself but she was
confused that he wasn’t yelling at the others, after all
she wasn’t even there. Her manager grunted and
steamily walked to his car.

Two days later, Perry got a call from her manager,
and
she uneasily answered, “ Hello?” she nervously
answered. Luckily, she wasn’t fired but the store had
to mysteriously close because of a lawsuit that one of
the employees had started the fire…

Even though the lawsuit affected Perry’s career
she was happy that the store shut down. To be honest,
she told everyone that she knew that she hated her
boss. That is probably why her boss hates her. But
despite this all, she learned that it was okay that the
store was closed. Perry would start a new chapter of
her life and forget the store’s existence.
