NIGHTFALL | PLAYER GUIDE

This will be given you the basic's for your character needed, along with the world around it.,

NIGHTFALL

THE PLAYER GUIDE

CREATED BY MODIFY 5

Origin Of Nightfall

Nightfall is taken place in the world of Cyberpunk, where
the rich take and the police are corrupted. The Setting
of Nightfall was taken 12 years before the Cyberpunk
Campaign, which is around the year 2060. The Name
Nightfall was established by the Bluejay, as a heist that
must be done before Night-Falls. This heist is aimed to
put on a show for the higher-ups, showing them with the
right motivation anything can be done to them, showing
them that the people of the city are in control. This
heist is in the higher class of the city, which means
fighting or sneaking through guards, surveillance, and
drones.

You will be tasked with different challenges, experience
and tough decisions to make. This Campaign will only take
7-12 Sessions, but these sessions will require full
attention in order to survive. Nightfall is a campaign
where you aren't expected to survive. The Difficulty on
this Campaign is testing the players decisions to think,
there will be punishment for actions, whilst reward for
others.

The Operation of Nightfall is brought to your attention
by Bluejay giving you a phone call. As per character
connections you all know ether Bluejay, or someone who
knows Bluejay himself.

Character Creation Rules

With being tasked to create a character, there are things
to keep in mind to balance out the world of Cyberpunk.
Firstly, every single spell used is powered by
technology, which means any spell used must be described
as if the tech was powering it, example;
"You see glowing blue tubes surround my wrist, in turn
poking into my veins, you see a chemical form out of the
pours of my hand, giving off this freezing chemical
hitting the enemy as I throw my hand at them."

You are only allowed to use the following classes and
races:

Page 3- Fighter, Ranger, Rogue [MORE SKILL]
Page 4- Barbarian, Bard, Artificer [TECH/SKILL]
Page 5- Warlock, Cleric, Monk [TECH]
---------------------------------------------------------
--
Page 6- Human, Human Variant [COMMON]
Page 7- Warforged, Dwarf, Goliath [UNCOMMON]
Page 8- Lizardfolk, Feral Tiefling, Tiefling [RARE]

All these races/classes will be explained in following
pages, use the recommended settings on these characters
as an example of your characters backstory. You are not
allowed to use any other class nor race.

This Campaign recommends for two characters to be
created, one primary use and other as a backup. Focus
more on the one you'll be using, both can connect in

SKILLED CLASSES

Skilled Classes are the backbone of each legends
backstory, with the following selected classes you will
be given a glimpse of what the ideals for these
characters look like in Nightfall.

ROGUE: Rogues are the thieves and shadows of the city,
they lived a dramatic life of underground trades, crimes,
and gangs. They were trained to fight with the head
instead of the blade. Playing this class it's ideal to
have a past which effected your character.

RANGER: Rangers are the most common among the crowd, some
lived in dirt and mud, whilst others lived in palaces.
What made your character pick up a ranged weapon? Are
they the loved hero? A Mercenary or Hitman? Do they use
old-fashion fighting or more modern weapons? Or do they
like to mix both?

FIGHTER: Mostly underestimated by society, fighters use
everything to there advantage in any fight, some trained
themselves whilst others got trained. Why did your
character go against the odds of what people thought? Why
did they teach themselves how to use a blade? Does your
character take effect to the hate by society because of
the blade they hold?

Every single Skilled Class has faced society, grown up with the basic's
and using it to help or hurt others. Why did these characters train
with the weapons given to them? What are there thoughts on
society? What made these characters turn into legends? Has
anything changed about them since learning the skills required to
perfect the craft of fighting?

TECH SKILLED CLASSES

Tech Skilled Classes are uncommon in society, the
majority are terrified to step into the ring with these
classes. People with Skilled Tech use it as a tool to
amplify what could already be done. It requires practice
that the majority are not willing to do, which makes them
deadly.

BARBARIAN: Born from the streets, these brave fighters
are known most in the lower-class. From Bar Fights to
fighting for a cause playing a Barbarian requires an
experienced backstory. Gifted with tech to help them, but
how did they get this tech? And what cause did they use
it for? What type of experience did these characters
have?
BARD: Growing up with music is what taught these
characters how to put energy into something, it taught
them dedication. How did the character learn to use music
as a weapon? What made them discover the tech for it?
Were t higher class bard or struggling on a streets? What
made them fit for a battle? Or are they even fit?

ARTIFICER: The creators of machines, these people spent
countless of hours working on technology, but did this
character make it for themselves? Did they ever share
there tech with the world? If so how did this impact the
world around them? What is the characters thoughts on
tech being out on the streets?

All these Tech Skilled Classes use tech as a tool, but
why did they pick up this tool? What makes them a legend
today? Is the character found of using this weapon for
self purpose? Or do they believe this tech can do
something others cant do?

TECH CLASSES

Tech Classes use tech as the fighting force, adapting
themselves to pure tech to get the best outcome. Why did
this character use only tech? How did these characters
come to such rare tech? These characters are usually rare
in society, most having a complex backstory to them.

WARLOCK: These Characters are obsessed with Technology,
they adapt to a computer and rely on it to provide
fighting chances. What is this computer like? What goal
does this character have with this tech? Are they using
it for good or evil? And are they known in society?

CLERIC: These Characters are the care-givers of the
group, usually in hospitals and labs. But what made this
character search for this tech? And how did they find it?
Are they using it for good or evil? And what made them
decide to use the power of health? These are more known
in society.

MONKS: Usually hidden away in society, these people go
back to the basics with fighting, while using newly
founded tech. These people pratice the art of fighting,
but what made this character adapt tech for the art? And
why did they need it for fighting? Do they stand by a set
of rules while fighting? And why use basic fighting with
modern tech?

All these Tech Classes are newly founded by society, how
did it impact your character finding this tech? And did
they keep it hidden or let it be known? What challenges
with these tech did the characters have? And are they
accepted by society for using it?

COMMON RACE

Humans/Human Variants: Most commonly known in the city,
these people are most accepted in society but also most
fragile.

What is your life like as a human? Are you currently
attempting to set future goals for your character? What
is life like making a living out of the city? Perhaps
your character never worked a day in their life and
settled for a life of crime, or joined the military
attempting to fight for a better cause. Did you ever have
the chance of fulfilling your goals in life? Or are you
still establishing them?

Humans might be the most common, but they always have a
story to tell. They have struggled with certain things.
How did the other races in the land impact you? Did it
ever make your character feel weak? Or did they ever
think the city was finally going down the right path with
allowing different races inside? Does your character
agree with this or are they trying to stop it? The
majority of humans in the city disagree with the races,
they believe that they opposed a threat to society whilst
some think it's because the rich want more people. Humans
most of the time have a rough story to them, perhaps a
family member or friend who was close died to them, or
they were replaced by robots at there job.

UNCOMMON RACE

Dwarf: Dwarf's are humans, but considered another race due to
the mutations it developed throughout the years, dwarf live
pretty normally, though it they are considered "lazy" among
humans due to the height they have. Majority of dwarfs choose
pretty relaxing jobs which don't require a lot of work. They
also usually stay in a pack and only sometimes travel alone
due to the threats they get. How does this impact you as a
dwarf? Are you attempting to break the chain of being downed
upon by society? Do you travel alone or with a group?

Goliath: Goliaths are the "slaves" of society, they are used
and controlled by gangs for the strength in which they hold.
Usually chained like dogs. They first mixed with humans in a
lab, causing a reaction and making them appear how they are
today. As a Goliath how did you break free from being a
slave? What are your thoughts about slavery? And how do you
react in todays society? Do you go out or stay hidden?

Warforged: Warforges count as robots for the city, replacing
majority of jobs because of the strengths they hold as a
robot. As a Warforged what made you use your power as an
advantage? What are your thoughts about taking peoples jobs
away? And do you think you have a creator? Do you currently
run in a job? Do you like how life treats you? Do you believe
you have a creator of some kind?

Majority of these races are found through the lower-class of
the city, these races have been in the city for around 9
years now. You aren't accepted by majority of society but
still make a living, how did this impact your character? Is
this motive for how you became a legend?

RARE RACE

Tiefling: Tieflings are aliens from the planet known as
Orako, which traveled to Aurora back 3 years ago to make
peace, though the majority of society hates tieflings, the
government decided to allow them in. Orako is a place of
plants, what was it like where you lived? As an Alien do you
feel left out by society? And do you agree to travel to this
planet?

Feral Tiefling: These Tieflings are those who are another
race in Orako, shined down by all of scoiety because of the
ability of magic. These Tieflings are hunted down because
they brought unwelcomed "gifts" to Aurora. As a Feral
Tiefling what is it like with magic? Are you attempting to
spread it throughout scoiety or trying to make a living by
yourself? Are you the enemy of the story? How does it feel
that society wants to hunt you down?

Lizardfolk: Raise and born from the sewers of the city these
lizard skined animals were effected by a chemical the city
put in the water thinking nothing was down there. You know
lurk throughout the city with the government trying to "hunt"
the mistakes they made. Whilst only some are allowed in the
city majority of society is on the hunt for you. How does
your character feel about this? And what were they doing in
the sewers when the chemical was released?

Character Creation

Let's focus on the reason you are in Nightfall. You were
called upon by Bluejay or a friend to help provide a
fighting chance against the government, showing them that
society controls the city and not them. But how do you
know that friend and or Bluejay? What type of interaction
did you guys have? What made you a legend?

Providing details of the journey to becoming a legend to
society of certain people is the key to your character in
this Campaign. You aren't a normal person, you must have
a reputation of some sort. Also, establishing on where
you live as of currently? There are three sections of
society you as a character could be in.

Low-Class: You are with the junkies and gangs down on the
pits of the streets, eating dirt and dry food this part
of society struggles every day to get higher in society.
Mostly the people who live here are ignored from
opinions.

Middle Class: A Decent living with these people, with the
majority of crimes being caused by the major gangs in the
city. Most people relax peacefully here, this is where
most normal people live.

High Class: Where the rich life, with tough security and
most protected, you're living the life. Only struggle is
keeping up with the latest rumor about what laws the
government is restricting down in lower-class.
