HEALTHCARE DESIGN

EUA + BEAVER DAM COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

EUA has been working on the Beaver Dam Community Hospital campus for over 12 years.
As Marshfield Clinic Health System continues its mission of providing compassionate,
innovative care to its patients, the Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam will play a
critical role. EUA has extensive experience providing Master Planning, Architectural and
Interior Design, and Life Safety Consulting Services in this facility. Enclosed are some details
of these projects and services.

As we’ve discussed in our phone calls over the last few years with Jim Lynn, Bill Jackson,
and Farrah Lemmon, EUA is committed to earning MCHS’s trust and providing value to
your organization in the following ways:

Breadth of Healthcare Experience: Our dedicated healthcare team of over 30 individuals
has extensive experience in every type of healthcare project, including diagnostic and
interventional imaging equipment replacements, outpatient clinics, and virtually every
hospital department. Our projects include both new freestanding buildings, major
additions, adaptive reuse and complex renovations where phasing and interim life safety
measures are critical.

Specific Facility Expertise: As noted above we have worked extensively on this campus,
including projects in the Hospital as well as in the Vita Park Medical Clinics. In addition, we
have done a number of off-campus studies in this area so we are familiar with the overall
development landscape.

Cost Effective Design: We take our clients’ goals and drivers very seriously and our designs
are fully informed by them. To that end, we have designed facilities at a range of budgets,
optimizing our design to maximize return on investment. We receive high marks from
our clients and construction partners for our positive, team-oriented approach to budget
reconciliation efforts and we encourage you to contact our references.

The acquisition of Beaver Dam Community Hospital was an important step in the continued
growth of MCHS as regional healthcare leaders. You have my personal commitment that
EUA will do whatever it takes to create a positive experience for your stakeholders and
provide successful results for everyone involved. Please do not hesitate to contact me should
you need any further information.

FIVE ELEMENTS THAT SHAPE THE
HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENT

Successful healthcare design puts people first. Through our experience and research, we’ve
found five important elements that are shaping today’s healthcare environments; each
responding to opportunities that will elevate the human experience. These concepts shape
all healthcare environments to varying degrees, responding to a system’s core values and
business goals. Each driver is considered unique to an individual client, meaning, one
size does not fit all. Through visioning, we will work with you to establish which drivers are
important to your organization to create the best patient and staff experiences and help
fulfill their mission and goals.
