Whilst Luna is getting
ready for school, she decides to

go on one of her favourite
apps called Instagram.

Luna scrolls and scrolls
through Instagram, almost making

her late for school. Looking at
monkeys online is her favourite

thing to do.



Luna’s parents shout her
downstairs for school and tell

her to hurry up, they don’t
want her to be late.

Her parents take her
to school and she arrives
without being late. She nally
makes her way to class.

Luna notices something very
different about her two friends,
Lacey and Nia. They have started

wearing make-up.



Luna feels left out and
upset because she isn’t wearing

any make-up and she also
doesn’t own any.

her phone and starts to
scroll through Instagram,
ignoring her friends.

Looks like shes
only interested in

her phone

Lacey and Nia start to
feel like Luna is more
interested in her phone and
scrolling through Instagram.



when Luna returns home
after a long day, she looks at

herself in the mirror.

Luna, are you I guess she’s
coming down not feeling well

for tea

Luna’s Mum and Dad shout
her downstairs for tea.

But she’s decided she isn’t
hungry and refuses
to eat.



Luna hasn’t eaten any
of her food this week. Her
parents start to worry as this

isn’t like Luna at all.



Luna sleeps instead of
eating her tea, her mum
and dad start to feel worried
so they ring the doctor.

Hi Luna, lets
see if we can
get you sorted

The doctor talks to Luna
about her condition which is

a desire to lose weight by
refusing to eat.

Yes, we couldn’t I hope we can all
agree more! agree that Instagram

is bad for Luna’s
health

The doctor suggests Luna
takes some time from

Instagram for a little and
her parents both agree.

I think this
will be a great
idea for the school

Luna’s parents talk to Luna’s
school head teacher and they
arrange a charity sports day to
raise money for Luna’s condition.
They call it ‘Speak out with Luna’.

£1,000 for her charity
‘speak out with Luna’, she
couldn’t be happier with

the results.



Luna is now happy with
her body and embraces that
she has other qualities such

as being able to run the
fastest than her friends.
