Present Simple Tense

จุดประสงค์การเรียนรู้
1. อธิบายหลกั การใช้ และรูปประโยคของ Present Simple tense
ไดอ้ ยา่ งถกู ตอ้ ง
2. สามารถเขียนคากริยาในรูปของ Present Simple tense ไดอ้ ยา่ ง
ถูกตอ้ ง

ศึกษารายละเอียดต่อไปน้ี แลว้ ปฏิบตั ิกิจกรรมในใบงานที่ 8

Present Simple Tense หมายถึง “ปัจจุบนั กาล” มีโครงสร้างและหลกั การใชด้ งั น้ี

โครงสร้าง ประธานเอกพจน์ + กริยาช่องท่ี 1 เติม s หรือ es
หรือ ประธานพหูพจน์ + กริยาช่องที่ 1

 โดยปกติถา้ ประธานเอกพจน์ กริยาเติม “s” ยกเวน้ กรณีต่อไปน้ีใหเ้ ติม “es” เสมอ
เช่น
She gets up early in the morning. หล่อนตื่นนอนแต่เชา้ ตู่
A boy goes to school everyday. เดก็ ชายคนหน่ึงไปโรงเรียนทุกวนั

วธิ ีการเตมิ “-s” หรือ “es” หลงั คากริยาช่องท่ี 1

1. ถา้ กริยาทว่ั ๆไปใหเ้ ติม “s” เช่น รัปประทาน
eat  eats อ่าน
read  reads เดิน
walk  walks วา่ ยน้า
swim  swims

2. ถ.า้ กริยาลงทา้ ยดว้ ย -s , -es , -x , -o , -z ,- ch , -sh ใหเ้ ติม es เช่น

go  goes ไป pass  passes ผา่ น
แปรงฟัน
box  boxes ชกมวย brush  brushes จบั

quiz  quizzesทดสอบความรู้catch  catches

3. ถา้ กริยาลงทา้ ยดว้ ย y และหนา้ y เป็นพยญั ชนะใหเ้ ปล่ียน y เป็น
ies ถา้ หนา้ y เป็นสระใหเ้ ติม s ไดเ้ ลย เช่น

cry  cries ร้องไห้ play  plays เล่น
fly  flies บิน destroy  destroys ทาลาย

Present Simple Tense มวี ธิ ใี ช้กบั เหตุการณ์ได้ดงั ต่อไปนี้

1.ใช้กบั เหตุการณ์หรือการกระทาทเ่ี ป็ นจริงเสมอหรือทเ่ี กดิ ขนึ้ ตามความจริงของ
ธรรมชาติ เช่น
The earth moves round the sun.
= โลกหมุนรอบดวงอาทิตย์
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
= ดวงอาทิตยข์ ้ึนทางทิศตะวนั ออก และตกทางทิศตะวนั ตก

2.ใช้กบั เหตุการณ์หรือการกระทาซ้าๆ เป็ นประจา หรือเป็ นนิสัย สงั เกตไดจ้ ากคากริยา
วเิ ศษท่ีบอกเวลาสม่าเสมอ ความถี่ หรือความบ่อยในประโยค คือ

always = เสมอๆ every day = ทุกๆ วนั often = บ่อยๆ
usually = โดยปกติ every time = ทุกๆ คร้ัง generally =โดยทวั่ ไป
every week = ทุกๆ สัปดาห์ sometime = บางคร้ัง hardly =แทบจะไม่
once a week = สปั ดาห์ละคร้ัง twice a week = สปั ดาห์ละ 2 คร้ัง

Montira walks to school everyday .
= มนทิราเดินไปโรงเรียนทุกวนั

He usually goes swimming at weekends.
= ปกติเขาไปวา่ ยน้าทุกวนั หยดุ สุดสัปดาห์

3. ใช้กบั เหตุการณ์ทเี่ ป็ นจริงในขณะทพ่ี ูดหรือกระทา ก่อนหนา้ ที่จะพดู หรือหลงั จากพดู
ไปแลว้ จะเป็นไปตามน้นั หรือไม่กไ็ ด้ แต่ตอ้ งเป็นจริงในขณะท่ีพดู เช่น

He stands under the tree.
= เขายนื อยใู่ ตต้ น้ ไม้ (ในขณะท่ีพดู ประโยคน้ี)

I have two books in the suitcase.
ฉนั มีหนงั สือ 2 เล่มอยใู่ นกระเป๋ า
(เปิ ดออกมาดูกเ็ ห็นมี 2 เล่มจริงๆไม่ไดโ้ กหก)

การทาใหเ้ ป็นประโยคปฏิเสธ

1. ประโยค Present Simple Tense ท่ีมี Verb to be หรือกริยาช่วยตวั อื่น ( can, may, must,
will, shall) สมารถเติม not หลงั คากริยาช่วย เช่น
She is a nurse.  She is not (isn’t) a nurse.
I can swim.  I cannot swim.

2. ประโยค Present Simple Tense ที่ไม่มี Verb to be หรือ คากริยาช่วยอื่นใหใ้ ช้ verb to do
( do, does ) มาช่วย โดยวาง verb to do ไวห้ นา้ คากริยาแท้

เอกพจน์ ใช้ does not

พหูพจน์ ใช้ do not

I, They, We, You ใช้ do not เหมือนกนั

กริยาสาคญั ไม่ต้องเตมิ s (หรือ es, )

- We walk to school every day.  We do not (don’t) walk to school every day.
- He walks to school every day.  He does not (doesn’t) walk to school every day.

การทาใหเ้ ป็นประโยคคาถาม

มีหลกั การดงั น้ี

1. ประโยค Present Simple Tense ที่มี verb to be หรือกริยาช่วยตวั อื่นๆ ใหน้ าเอา

คากริยาช่วยมาวางไวห้ นา้ ประธาน แลว้ ใส่เคร่ืองหมายคาถาม เช่น

- You are a student. คุณเป็นนกั เรียน

- Are you a student? คุณเป็นนกั เรียนใช่ไหม

- He can swim. เขาวา่ ยน้าได้

- Can he swim? เขาวา่ ยน้าไดไ้ หม

2. ประโยค Present Simple Tense ที่ไม่มี verb to be หรือคากริยาช่วย ใหป้ ฏิบตั ิดงั น้ี
2.1 ใช้ doวางหนา้ ประธาน (พหูพจน)์ คากริยาแทไ้ ม่เติม s, es แลว้ ใส่เครื่องหมาย

คาถาม เช่น
- Wanida and I play tennis every day.
- Do Wanida and I play tennis every day?
2.2 ใช้ does วางหนา้ ประธาน (พหูพจน)์ คากริยาแทใ้ นประโยคเดิมมี s, es ตดั s,

es ออก แลว้ ใส่เคร่ืองหมายคาถามทา้ ยประโยค เช่น
- He goes to the cinema every day.
- Does he go to the cinema every day?
-The sun rises in the east.
-Does the sun rise in the east?

การตอบคาถามจะตอ้ ง

การตอบรับ Yes, I/we/you/they/ do.
Yes, he/she/it / does.

การตอบปฏเิ สธ

หมายถึง “ปัจจุบนั กาลกาลงั กระทา”

Present continuous tense

มีรูปประโยคดงั น้ี

is
Subject + am + Verb 1 + ing

are

 คากริยาช่วย is , am หรือ are จะตอ้ งสอดคลอ้ งกบั ประธานของประโยค 
เช่น

 I am doing my homework now.
= ฉนั กาลงั ทาการบา้ นอยใู่ นขณะน้ี

 Nancy is searching the internet.
= แนนซี่กาลงั คน้ หาขอ้ มลู ทางอินเตอร์เนต็

 They are playing football.
= พวกเขากาลงั เล่นฟุตบอล

 He is playing tennis.
เขากาลงั เล่นเทนนิส

หลกั การเติม “–ing” ที่ทา้ ยคากริยา
ช่องที่ 1 มีดงั น้ีครับ

1.คากริยาที่ลงทา้ ยดว้ ย e ท่ีไม่ออกเสียง ใหต้ ดั e ทิง้ ก่อนแลว้
เติม ing เช่น
move – moving = เคล่ือนที่ take – taking = เอาไป, พาไป
live – living = อาศยั argue- arguing = โตเ้ ถียง

2.คากริยาที่ลงทา้ ยดว้ ย ie เปลี่ยน ie เป็น y เสียก่อน

แลว้ จึงเติม ing เช่น

die – dying = ตาย lie – lying = โกหก

3.คากริยาพยางคเ์ ดียว มีสระตวั เดียว ตวั สะกดตวั เดียว

เพ่ิมตวั สะกด 1 ตวั แลว้ เติม ing เช่น

dig – digging = ขดุ get – getting = ไดร้ ับ

stop- stopping = หยดุ run- running = วงิ่

4. คากริยาทวั่ ไป เติม ing ทา้ ยคากริยา เช่น

go – going = ไป listen – listening = ฟัง

work – working = ทางาน read – reading = อ่าน

การใช้ Present continuous tense

1. ใชก้ บั เหตุการณ์ที่กาลงั กระทาอยใู่ นขณะท่ีพดู โดยมกั จะมีคาที่บอกเวลา เช่น

now = ขณะน้ี at present = ในปัจจุบนั น้ี

today = วนั น้ี at this time = ขณะน้ี at this moment = ขณะน้ี

The dog is sleeping now.
= สุนขั กาลงั หลบั

Wilai is cooking in the kitchen now.
= วไิ ลกาลงั ทากบั ขา้ วอยใู่ นโรงครัวเด๋ียวน้ี

2. ใชก้ บั เหตุการณ์ท่ีจะเกิดข้ึนในอนาคตอนั ใกล้ และมีคาบอกเวลาเป็นอนาคตมากากบั เช่น

We are leaving for Paris tomorrow.
พวกเราจะออกเดินทางไปนครปารีสในวนั พรุ่งน้ี

Mr. Tomson is coming here soon.
= มร. ทอมสันจะมาที่น่ีเร็วๆน้ี

คากริยาบางตวั ไม่นิยมนามาแต่งเป็น Present Continuous Tense คือกริยาท่ี
แสดงการรับรู้ ไดแ้ ก่

see = เห็น feel = รู้สึก smell = ไดก้ ล่ิน know = รู้
love = รัก like = ชอบ believe = เชื่อ seem = ดู
เหมือน
tast = ชิม want = ตอ้ งการ etc.

เช่น I see something here. ฉนั เห็นอะไรบางอยา่ งท่ีน้ี
(อยา่ ใช้ : I am seeing something here)
She loves me very much. หล่อนรักผมมาก
(อยา่ ใช้ She is loving me very much. )
