HPS consist of four key elements which work together to optimise performance: High performance antifoulings SeaQuantum X200, launched in 2011, was the first-generation premium antifouling to be launched under Jotun Hull Performance Solutions. Jotun HPS now also includes SeaQuest Endura. These two premium coatings are offered to cater to different operational requirements of vessels to maximise fuel savings and minimise deterioration of CII ratings. High-end technical service Every HPS application is supported by a HPS certified project manager and coating advisors to ensure the smoothest finish during application. Jotun’s application procedures have been optimised for delivering the smoothest possible hull surface and include a comprehensive regime for measuring and documenting the solution’s contribution to reducing average hull roughness. Performance analysis Jotun’s HPS analysis service fully complies with ISO 19030. It isolates the impact of a ship’s underwater surfaces on its energy efficiency by tracking relative changes in the relationship between the power delivered to the propeller and speed trough water over time. Performance analysis clearly demonstrates the effect of the coating on the hull and propeller performance over the docking interval. Performance guarantee Jotun HPS offers a performance-based guarantee. That means Jotun either document the deliverance of the expected high level of hull performance, or Jotun return the additional investment you have made in the Hull Performance Solution. In effect, customers pay for the delivery of high performance – not for paint with the promise of performance.

The smooth surface profi le of the coating enables ultra-low frictional resistance reducing hull deterioration and improves hydrodynamic performance impacting fuel consumption and contributing to the environment by reducing the carbon footprint. SeaQuest Endura is a three-component biocidal foul release coating based on advanced Elastotain® technology. It’s a high solid product with diff usion-controlled biocide release under challenging conditions. It’s recommended as a topcoat for immersed conditions over approved tie coats only. SeaQuantum X200 is the best in class antifouling within the SeaQuantum brand, optimised for predictable, ocean-going trade. SeaQuantum X200 has a verifi able 1.0% speed loss* for medium- and high-activity vessels, supported by a proven 10-year track record on all vessel types. This means a reduction in fuel consumption by up to 14.7%* and a reduction in carbon emission. As a result of 20 years of research and development, SeaQuantum X200 was developed based on the most advanced silyl methacrylate technology. This combined with a premium, broad spectrum biocide package, delivers the most reliable longterm fouling performance to keep the hull clean with a consistent 30-day idle period availability. * Average in-service speed deviation over 60 months docking interval based on ISO 19030 measurement methods. Fuel saving estimates as compared with market average speed loss of 5.9% and a 1:3 power to speed ratio.
