Steps to Login RIMS

1. Go to http://rims.upsi.edu.my/

2. Key in User Name and Password (Register for the first time)
• Username: Staff Number example: K02203
• Password: Identification Number (without ‘-‘) or Passport Number for foreign staff
• Access Type; Internal
*For existing user, log in using your registered Username and Password

Steps to Register Innovation Project

1. Click on ‘Innovation’ menu at Home menu

2. Then, click ‘Innovation Project’ menu

3. Screen will appear ‘Project Information page. For the first time, list of Application will empty
NOTE: This section for ‘Innovation Application’ entry only, for any amendment of Project please go to
‘Project Evaluation’ menu.

4. Click button.

5. Key in all required field in Project Information Registration:

• Application Code (Automatically appear after save the Application)

• Project Phase (Select from dropdown)

• Innovation Project Title

• Executive Summary (300 words only)

• Target Group/ Market

• Cluster

6. Click on then click

7. Screen will focus on . For the first time, list of Membership is empty

8. Key in all required field Members: then screen will appear Query Staff Info popup screen
• Member ID Type: -

1)if Internal click ,

i. Select Search by: -Staff Name or Division/ Department / Centre
ii. Key in Item to Search

iii. Then click button

iv. Click to select staff.

v. Key in Justification of Appointment

2)If External, key in: -

i. IC/ Passport Number

ii. Member name

iii. Institution

iv. Job Sector

v. Justification of Appointment

9. Click on . Then, click on to the members inside the table. (For

Internal Member only) If the status is ‘Idle’ or ‘Sent’, you can edit and delete member details, once the

status is ‘Accepted’ you cannot make any changes.

10. Please make sure to REMIND your members to accept the invitation at and click

for ‘Accepted’ and for ‘Declined’.

12. Screen will focus on . For the first time, Problem Statement is empty.

NOTE: System can accept any graphics format to be embedded in the editor. Please make sure the size of

image file does not exceed more than 4GB. For larger image file, please use other hosting service to park

the file and put it in the editor using WEB URL option.

NOTE:
1)Total amount for Vot 11000 - RA/GRA Salary must not exceed 40% of total budget.
2)Photocopy services, printed materials, final report printing and enumerator fees must be placed under Vot
29000.
3)Please describe in detail the item for Vot 21000.
