Introduction Choral Speaking Nuri Madani Competition 2023 is a competition organized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia and Bank Rakyat. It is an initiative under the Dasar Memartabatkan Bahasa Melayu dan Memperkukuh Bahasa Inggeris and MOE Unity Week 2023. The competition aims at encouraging pupils to use the English language through fun learning. MOE and Bank Rakyat also aspire that this competition will foster unity among pupils and teachers. “Choral Speaking is the interpretation of poetry or prose by a group, comprising anything from half a dozen to a hundred speakers. It involves a full and varied use of the individual voices that make up the group. There may be divisions of the whole group into light and dark voices, broken and unbroken, male and female, treble and so on. Individual voices may be used as solo.” Theme Primary Schools Category Original presentation : Unity Additional presentation : Love Competition Rules The state level competition consists of two stages: i) Stage 1 - Preliminary Screening ii) Stage 2 - Grand Final All districts that advance to the state level will be going through the online Preliminary Screening. Only 5 teams will be selected to attend the Grand Final in-person. The Grand Final round will be conducted in two sections: Section 1: The original presentation as submitted for Preliminary Screening. Section 2: A 2-minute additional presentation (The theme was shared 14 days prior to the Grand Final). The Best Conductor Award will be judged during the Grand Final round.
