It felt like hours but we had taken out most of his creatures, we started to fall back 
it felt like every time we killed one of his more came out 
“Is  that  all  you've  got ! a disappointment i thought you were special riley, i guess 
the  virus  didn't  really  bond  with  you  after  all.  see  your  scared  of what you can 
become  as long  as  you  are  you  will  never  get  to  me” the man shouted across the 
battlefield with bodies shaking from impacts. 

“You will never be strong, you are weak!” He kept going taunting me.  
“Don't listen to him” i heard scarlet say behind me 
i felt rage surface within me, i felt my body begin to shake i knew what was about 
to happen. 
“ see this is all i have to offer” with my eyes glowing red and my arms producing 
some kind of fire i felt invincible. 
He  shrugged  and  took  a small  step  back “you think that's enough to end me”  i 
smirked,  “it  may not  end  you  but  it will sure  put  a  stop  to  you”  i felt the energy 
flow  through  me  like  i  did  back  when we were running away from the doctors in

Chapter 15: Crystal Clear 
 
“We can't take that risks again, he’s way too dangerous” i could hear them talking 
about me, i could hear them but i could do anything, i couldn move. “ We can't let 
him out there again” Said the headmaster “he's not going to be happy about this. 
The voices faded into the darkness, as my eyes flickered on and off. 
 
I  wake  up,  in  a  strange  room,  no pain, no headache just felt like i was waking up 
from a nap, picking myself up i see a bright light out a window.  i walked towards 
it  and  the  room  changed.  It was a new scenery somewhere i've been before, a big 
tree surrounded by ashes and burnt twigs “His house” i choked as i said the words, 
fire  ignited  surrounded the tree i stumbled as i stepped back. Falling down i fall 
through  the ground and land in a dark room, pitch black, dead silence and a smell 
of death. 
 

I  stood  up  and  the  floors  lit  up  red,  I  jumped,  and  a  new  color  appeared 
white. I walked towards what seemed to be a door, the floor and walls kept lighting 
up as i kept walking, stepping into a new room i realized why i was, my own home, 
i saw my picture.. suddenly  a wave of pain hit me, my head was churning and my 
body became weak i gave up the fighting, and fell to the floor. 
 
Bright light surrounding me, around me it was again ​darkness c​omplete darkness, i 
was  sitting  in  a  chair, my hands tied up i shook, and struggled to get free with no 
success.  Footsteps  approached  me  from  behind,  soon  enough  a  hand  touched  my 
shoulder. 

I woke up in the enfermery again, i wasn't sure if it was a dream any more, I 
was  sure  of  one  thing  my  head  was  pounding.  Behind  the  blurry  curtain,  were 
shadows one of them seem to look like scarlett,  she turned and look at the glass, 
and  ran  inside  “  Oh  my  god  !  you're  okay”  she  said  as  she entered the room and 
hugged  me  “Ouch”  i  whimpered  “sorry”  she  smirked.  “Its fines, how long have i 
been  out  for?”  Her  smile faded “the energy you used, sent you into a coma you 
have  been  here for  exactly  3  weeks  today”.  The room  grew  quiet.  “Seriously?”  i 
asked  confused  “It only  felt like i've been asleep for hours”  One of the doctors 

 

who  had been apparently taking care of stepped out of the  room,  i could hear him 
whispering  to  the  other  doctors  “  how  in  the  world  is  he  alive”  there  was  a 
moment  of silence. “How can you say  that, he saved your life and everyone else's 
in the place” someone replied “that blast should have killed him.  

 
More  silence  surrounded  the  room,  Minute’s  later  the  doctor  came  back in 
the room with some medicine “here you go, make sure to eat before you take this” 
he  told  me  as  he  sat  the  tray  with  the  medicine  on  the  table  next  to  me.  “What's 
this” i asked, his face changed mood “look i'm just doing my part and keeping you 
healthy, i don't know how you managed to survive a blast that violent and still not 
have  a  scratch  on  you”.  He  walked  out,  i  looked at scarlett who was looking at 
some  files on  the  other  side  of  the  room.  “Hey  what's  wrong  with  him?” I asked 
weakly “Riley a lot of people are angry with you, that blast might have saved a lot 
of people but it also killed a lot of people as well. His wife was caught in the blast 
radius. you may be a hero in my eyes but in theirs you're a killer.
