10Allegra has always been about savoring life, its textures, its small surprises, its big leaps. But as we pulled together this third volume, I felt a shift. That feeling is woven through every story in this issue, from the gleam of a silver strand to the roar inside an arena.Let’s start with one of the brightest sparks: The Silver Revolution. Raquel Camps Sureda is a force—a woman who refuses to dim her shine simply because the calendar insists she should. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: maturity is strength, and beauty doesn’t fade; it evolves. Spending time with her and her movement felt like a masterclass in self-love. She reminds us that every age brings its own kind of fire, and if we’re brave enough to show it, we give permission for others to do the same. What struck me most is how universal her message feels right now. So many of us are reclaiming parts of ourselves we’ve tucked away—ambitions, dreams, or versions of who we once were. Raquel embodies that reclamation. She makes selfexpression feel urgent. I hope her story leaves you as inspired as it left me.Of course, empowerment doesn’t only appear in glamorous settings. Sometimes it hits you square in the chest, carried on the sound of 2,000 pounds of muscle and grit. That’s what happens the moment the gates open at Professional Bull Riding at UBS Arena. Covering New York’s very own PBR team—The Mavericks—was a thrill for our Chief Photographer/Creative Director Neil Tandy. These athletes live at the edge of human capability—eight seconds that test strength, trust, and absolute mental clarity. What I love most about this sport is the harmony of contradictions: danger and discipline, chaos and choreography. It’s a piece unlike anything we’ve done before, and I’m delighted to bring their spirit into our pages. From there, we shift into a realm that feels softer but no less bold: Fashion—Own the Look. This article was born from a simple idea: style isn’t about cost or labels; it’s about owning your presence. Our favorite model, Sasa, helped us explore the looks and how you can turn your closet into a designer’s dream. We looked beyond trends to what makes a woman feel genuinely herself. My hope is that you discover something liberating; perhaps an unexpected color, a luxurious texture, or simply the reminder that fashion is permission to play. And because no volume of Allegra is complete without a chance to stretch your legs and spirit, we’ve included travel features that might just nudge you into booking your next escape. Our first stop is Nashville, a city where music leaks into the sidewalks and the nightlife hums with authenticity. This isn’t honky-tonks and neon; it’s a deeper portrait of a place that reinvents itself without losing its roots. Whether you’re sipping whiskey in a tucked-away bar or catching unexpected live music in the afternoon, Nashville serves its soul with generosity. Then there’s Belize, where time slows down in the most delicious way. The waters shimmer with impossible blues; the jungles breathe ancient stories. Following on there’s always an open invitation to explore destinations like Madison, Connecticut, and a stay at The Homestead B&B. Here you will find not only beautiful scenery, but pure relaxation and rejuvenation. Yes, the world still contains magic. Thank you for reading, for supporting our vision, and for being part of this growing community. Wishing you a New Year that opens gently, with moments that make your heart lighter and your days sweeter. May love find its way into every corner of your life, and may happiness settle in and stay awhile. Thank you for being part of the Allegra family—here’s for a bright, hopeful year ahead.HAPPY 2026!Until next time,PatriciaLETTER FROM THE PUBLISHERPhoto credit: ©Neil J Tandy

14Raquel is a multilingual Spanish model, actress and comedienne, who won the Golden Rose on Le Golden Bachelor, the French version of The Golden Bachelor, which aired on M6, the largest private national TV station in France. She has homes in Barcelona and Paris, travels extensively, modeling, acting, and spreading The Silver Revolution message.THE POWER OF POLISHED SILVEROn a recent trip to Paris, I was fortunate enough to not only catch up with Raquel for a chat, but to also do an incredible photoshoot with her and the beautiful, bubbly Sylvie, one of the foremost ambassadors of The Silver Revolution.Let Raquel, in her own words, describe how The Silver Revolution came about, what it means, what the future holds. For quite some time, I had already been sharing this message with women: dare to be yourself, at any age, with no filters or limits. Through Instagram, I have been encouraging women to embrace their individuality, their style, and their inner power; proving that authenticity never goes out of style. Then came The Golden Bachelor: Winning that experience gave me a larger platform, but it also opened my eyes to how deeply ageism still exists, both in fashion and across social media. That realization became a turning point; instead of letting it define me, I chose to turn it into light, and The Silver Revolution was born. As the momentum gathered and more people became aware of Raquel and her mission, her message of hope and empowerment, the next logical step was a book, then a video, even more ways to inform the world. Raquel continues…Two years ago, I met my now my wonderful friend Maël, who loved my ideas. She said she would one day love to make a book with me, so together, we co-wrote Silver Revolution by Raquel. The book is a fun and glamorous manifesto, designed to demystify the passing of time and to celebrate confidence and individuality at any age.Later, I collaborated with renowned music and video producer, DJ NaoMix on the Silver Revolution music video—an artistic expression of strength, sensuality, and rebellion against stereotypes. I have also been very fortunate to share my message through TV interviews and podcasts, speaking about how visibility, humor and self-love can change and redefine the perception of age.I always want to lead by example and be the inspiration for women worldwide: as a runway model, I have walked in Paris Fashion week, London Fashion Week, and in Stockholm and Barcelona: each time, I feel more convinced that this is what the world needs to see; women who are free, bold and proud of their age.Beauty is not about perfection, it’s about freedom, attitude and truth. There is no limit, there is no age barrier.I was really beginning to understand Raquel’s motivation, drive, energy, insatiable desire and determination to spread her message, to see women of all ages empowered, but especially for more mature women to fully embrace the beauty that comes with age and experience, the softness and understanding, yet the strength and belief that anything is possible, that they deserve to be seen, to take their rightful place in all walks of life, as humans to be looked up to, respected, revered, to be seen as the paragons they are.Where does The Silver Revolution stand now and what of the future? Raquel explained it this way…Today, The Silver Revolution has grown beyond social media: it has become a mindset and a platform for creative collaborations and future events. For me, The Silver Revolution is more than a project, it is an attitude, a lifestyle, a declaration of self-love and empowerment. It is about celebrating silver as a statement; THE SILVER REVOLUTIONThe Fashion-First Movement Redefining Modern BeautyArticle & Photography by Neil J TandyCOVER FEATURE

Maturity has no boundaries, age is not an obstacle—this is the philosophy of Raquel Sureda Camps, the glamourous, silver-haired creator and founder ofThe Silver Revolution.

18 strong, radiant, and unapologetically alive! We have the age of all possibilities, all dreams and now I am living my own dreams. My hair started to go white at 16 years of age and I colored for decades, but the day I started to let my natural color through, I felt the deepest feeling of freedom. Now my hair is my Crown of Glory.Coming in 2026 will be a The Silver Revolution website, the book will be made available on Amazon.com, more events are planned and a concerted effort will be made to reach out to women of all ages, nationalities and walks of life to hear the message of The Silver Revolution, to embrace the ideals and philosophies and to in turn spread the word themselves.FEARLESS AT EVERY AGEOf course, the idea of female empowerment is not a new one, but Raquel brings a signature blend of glamour, fun and sass, she brings an energy that is unmatched, this is a lifestyle, she lives it herself, every day, a true inspiration to women everywhere, a real example of what The Silver Revolution embodies, what its core values are. There is a message of hope, of encouragement, that any woman, any age, can do anything she wants, to love, to find love, to live life fully, to have dreams and live them.SILVER, SEEN & UNSTOPPABLEMany, many older women, especially in Europe are becoming models, signing with agencies and doing photoshoots and I knew that I wanted to make the most of my time with Raquel and Sylvie in Paris and to do my own photoshoot with them–we were in one of the most wonderful areas of Paris, Le Marais, which has been home to some of the greats of photography and art, including one of my particular favorites, Helmut Newton–more about that soon.We had a gorgeous Parisian Fall day to do the shoot and we packed in three incredible looks using the streets of Le Marais as our backdrop, trying and hopefully succeeding, in showing through photos, the very message of The Silver Revolution, the courage, the attitude, the glamour, the fun, the desire to show the world just how beautiful more mature women are.

19Previously, I mentioned Helmut Newton. I had seen a very famous nighttime Vogue shoot that he had photographed in 1975. I had looked for and found the exact spot that shoot was done–right in front of his home at 2.45 am and I was determined to do a shoot there, especially as it was only a short walk from where I was staying.Raquel had to leave to travel back to her home on the outskirts of Paris, as she had left her delightful chihuahua Lullaby behind, so I asked Sylvie if she was happy to do the shoot and when she agreed, we set off to make some epic photos, following in the footsteps, fifty years later, one of my heroes of the art, Sylvie showing exactly what it means to be a part of The Silver Revolution!Raquel and the Silver Revolution aren’t going away, they are becoming stronger by the day, more widely known, the message reaching more and more eyes and ears, empowering women globally, with a vital message they all need to see.To order Silver Revolution by Raquel, contact her at www.instaagram.com/raquel_silvermodel or www.instagram.com/beautyforthequeensFollow Sylvie on Instagram at www.instagram.com/sylvie_k44bis/For more information on DJ NaoMIX ft. Hands up who knows that New York has its very own PBR team! If you don’t, it’s hardly surprising, they have only been in existence since 2024. I for one certainly had no idea; that was until I received an invite to attend “Maverick Days” at UBS Arena in Elmont, which was the NY round of the Camping World Team Series.First stop was the Mavericks locker room to meet some of the riders and to see how they prepare for competition in this insanely tough sport. Surprisingly, the athletes are quite small and wiry, averaging around 5 feet 8 inches and weighing between 130 and 160lbs, but they are full of guts, determination, strength and grit.THE GEAR THAT MAKES THE RIDEMuch of the preparation is focused on the gear used for riding, the all-important rope—many riders keep a custom-made rope for their entire career. The first part of preparation is to rub a block of rosin into the rope and gloves, working it in to make the rope as sticky as possible to maintain grip during the eight second ride. The ropes are carefully prepared by each rider to suit their personal preferences for grip and hold and then the knot/loop size is adjusted to fit snugly around the bull’s girth.RITUALS, ROUTINES & RAW NERVESMost riders also have a warm-up routine, and the rope prep is an important part of that, along with mental preparation, stretching and sometimes prayer, before the riders depart for the bucking chutes. After the visit to the locker rooms, I headed out to the arena to take up my position ready to enjoy the thrill of this adrenalinefueled sport, to watch the spectacular, up close and personal and to photograph as much as I could.NEW YORK MAVERICKS RETURN HOMEProfessional Bull Riding At UBS ArenaArticle & Photography by Neil J TandyFEATURE

26THE ENERGY IN THE STANDSThe Team Series consists of ten teams, each team containing five riders on every one of three nights of competition and each night’s game matchups consist of 5 games of two teams against one another: the night I was watching, Mavericks were pitted against Carolina Cowboys.A large, enthusiastic crowd was in attendance and were kept entertained before the main event started. Then the moment everyone was waiting for, the teams filed into the arena one by one, and each rider was introduced before the action began.WHEN THE GATES FLY OPENFirstly, the national anthem was sung, then a prayer was said for the safe keeping of riders and bulls alike and then the riding started in earnest. The New York game was last, but some incredible competition preceded it and the crowd was eager to see their hometown heroes prevail.Alas, it was not to be New York’s night, and Carolina Cowboys came out on top quite handsomely, but the large crowd were treated to some spectacular riding from the Mavericks. Carolina was to go on to be crowned 2025 team champions in Las Vegas.WHY PBR HITS DIFFERENTProfessional Bull Riding is a tough sport, for tough men, for tough animals—man against bull, each rider trying to stay on the bull for 8 seconds, each bull trying to throw off the rider—brute strength, tactics, mental fortitude, they all play a part.I had been to rodeo before, but nothing had prepared me for the excitement of a live PBR event, and I am certainly hoping to attend again when the “Mavs” return to UBS Arena. LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026To learn all about PBR, the teams, riders, rules, scoring, schedulesand ticket sales, visit PBR’s official website at pbr.com and follow the Mavericks on IG, Instagram.com/ny_mavericks.Many thanks to Wonder Bread for hosting me in their capacity asa sponsor for the PBR “Big Apple Takeover” preview.“Eight seconds of controlled chaos—where grit, instinct, and courage collide.”

29If you’ve ever wandered down Bridge Street on Shelter Island, chances are you’ve passed the old Jack’s Marine building and felt a pang of nostalgia. It was one of those places that felt permanent—until suddenly, it wasn’t. But just when it seemed like a piece of the island’s character was slipping away, something unexpected happened.Meet Jude Amsel—artist, teacher, and the kind of person who sees opportunity where others might see an empty storefront. Last year, Jude opened MAJU Art Gallery Lifestyle Store. It provides a creative space of discovery, art, and education that has quickly become one of Shelter Island’s most exciting new additions. “It wasn’t part of the plan,” Jude said with a laugh, seated in the gallery, surrounded by work from both local and internationally known artists. “I was just looking for a place to teach ceramics.”She refers to her long-running summer classes, which took place in a historic barn part of the Shelter Island History Museum—until that space suddenly became unavailable. Jude faced the very real possibility of having to cancel classes for more than sixty students, many of whom had been her students for years. Then it happened: what was once a beloved space called “Jacks” made both Jude and business partner Marie Eiffel inspired! That’s how MAJU was born—a space that now hums with new energy!MAJU: A LIFE IN ARTMAJU—a name that combines “Marie” and “Jude,” but also seems to stand for something more. It’s not just a gallery. It’s a ceramics studio, a shop, and a gathering place. A place for students to get creative. A place where established artists share wall space with emerging artists. “I had someone come in the other day, see the space, who commented. “This space is what the community needed!” That’s the perfect compliment.”Jude isn’t new to this. She’s been working in the arts for decades as a printmaker, glass artist, and teacher. Her work has appeared in public collections and museums, including a 9/11 permanent memorial sculpture for the NYC Fire Museum honoring the 343 firefighters who lost their lives.CREATIVE ROOTS + ISLAND SOULLong before MAJU, she was one of the founding members of a nonprofit arts center in Great Neck, Long Island, where she started and headed the ceramics department. Jude was also the gallery director, hosting thousands of visitors, school groups, and community outreach programs. “I’ve kept every thank-you note,” she admitted. “They remind me why I do this. Art saved me during challenging times, and I know it’s helped others, too.”Her classes, for both children and adults, have a reputation for being fun and welcoming. There is no judgment, no pressure. Just the joy of making something with your hands. “One little boy in my class told another, ‘Don’t worry, you can’t make a mistake in Jude’s class,’” she said, smiling. “That about sums it up.”REINVENTION IS THE SECRETWhen Jude’s daughter heard about the new gallery, she teased, “Wait. I thought you were retiring!” Jude laughed. “I guess I’m not done yet. Reinvention is the secret.”Her spirit is woven into every corner of MAJU. The walls feature a rotating collection of work—everything from contemporary abstraction to whimsical ceramics. One room is dedicated to handson classes. Marie Eiffel has flawless taste when it comes to fashion, down to the smallest detail of accessories.” It’s a gallery, yes—but it also feels like someone’s very cool, very creative living room. The community has embraced it. The opening weekend in May brought a steady stream of visitors, many of them curious to see how the old space had transformed. It was so well-received and she’s grateful, too.PROFILESJUDE AMSELMAJU Brings New Life To Shelter IslandArticle by Patricia Canole | Photography by Neil J Tandy

30WHAT’S NEXT FOR JUDEThe gallery is fully booked. Ceramics classes for kids and adults, open studio time, special exhibits, and even movement workshops led by Marie. Plans include gallery talks, collaborative art nights, and community gatherings. MAJU isn’t just here to show art—it’s here to make it.MAJU has already started changing the rhythm of Bridge Street. What was once a vacant storefront now hums with life. At the center of it all is Jude offering encouragement, turning on the kiln, and making space for creativity to thrive. “I don’t know what MAJU will be like five years from now,” she said. “But right now, it feels exactly right.”Info: www.majushelterisland.comJude Amsel with granddaughter, RileyJude with business partner and friend, Marie Eiffel

32 PROFILESI’m drawn to stories where people transform struggles into strength. Lindsey Gann’s journey with Bold & Bloom Designs powerfully reflects that core message of resilience and renewal. After her children grew up and the house grew quiet, Lindsey Gann found herself searching for purpose beyond motherhood and caregiving. In that stillness, she turned to polymer clay. What started as a simple creative outlet soon became her lifeline. Sculpting delicate flowers helped her process emotion, calm her thoughts, and reconnect with herself, piece by piece. Gradually, what began as therapy bloomed into something bigger: a jewelry brand rooted in resilience and healing. Later, when Lindsey faced the heartbreaking loss of her son, Eli, her art became a way to honor his memory and bring light to dark moments.I sat down with Lindsey of Bold & Bloom to learn more.Bold & Bloom began as something deeply personal. Take us back to that moment when you first realized that sculpting polymer clay flowers was becoming more than a hobby.I started working with clay just to fill my time and quiet the silence. But the more I learned, the more I started to feel something again. It became a kind of therapy for me—helping to ground me, calm my thoughts, and give me a sense of focus I hadn’t felt in a long time. Over time, that spark grew. Seeing women’s reactions at shows—the way their faces lit up when they found the perfect pair of earrings, the way they connected with my designs that brought me back to life. It pulled me out of my shell and reminded me that I still had something to give. The name Bold & Bloom feels both strong and soft at once. What does it mean to you?I’ve always appeared to be strong and independent, even a little closed off. But inside, I was terrified of what people thought of me. I can be bold and loud with my friends but standing in front of strangers was never me. Before Bold & Bloom, I never would have imagined myself doing shows or putting myself out there online. I wouldn’t have had the strength to show my creations to complete strangers. When I started sculpting flowers, I saw reflections of my own transformation—delicate, resilient, imperfect, but always growing. Each piece tells a story of strength in the face of adversity. Bold & Bloom now stands for embracing WHEN WOMEN BLOOM AGAINA Story Rooted In Reinvention, Courage—And ClayBy Brook Young   I   Photos courtesy of Bold & Bloom Designs

33imperfection and blooming boldly in every season, at the heart of my own ongoing journey. After losing your son Eli, you found meaning through your craft. How do you honor his memory through your work today?Losing Eli rocked our whole family. You don’t expect to lose a child at 23—he has his whole life ahead of him. Like most moms, I felt like I had to be the strong one, holding everything together for everyone else. But inside, I fell apart. There were anger and confusion after losing a child in an accident. I still can’t understand why this happened, and I still struggle to make sense of it.Eli believed in me long before I believed in myself, and in many ways, he’ll always be a part of what I create. After losing him, I designed the Resilience Collection in his honor—a line inspired by transformation, strength, and the ability to find beauty in the pain. The pieces blend deep purples, muted blues, and soft creams — colors that reflect both loss and healing for me.How do you personally define beauty now, after walking through such deep challenges? I used to think beauty was about perfection: flawless makeup, a clean home, a life that looked put together. But after everything I’ve been through, I see beauty in an entirely unique way now. To me, beauty lives in the things that survive — in the cracks, the scars, and the stories that shape us. It’s in the woman who keeps showing up, even when she’s falling apart inside. It’s in quiet strength, in grace born from pain, and in the courage to start again when everything feels broken.Working with clay taught me that lesson. When a petal cracks or design doesn’t turn out the way I planned, I don’t throw it away. I reshape it, soften the edges, and let its imperfections become part of the piece. That’s what beauty feels like to me now—not flawless, but honest. What message do you hope women take away when they wear Bold & Bloom beyond aesthetics and into the heart of your mission? When women wear Bold & Bloom, I want them to feel something deeper than “these are beautiful earrings.” I want them to feel seen — to remember that they’re still capable of growth and transformation, even after everything they’ve been through. Bold & Bloom is a celebration of women who rise, rebuild, and keep blooming—a reminder that in every season, you are evolving and radiant through resilience and transformation.Your jewelry often symbolizes growth after hardship. How do you continue to nurture your own growth as both an artist and a human being?Growth is something I have to choose every single day. It doesn’t come easily or naturally, especially after loss. But I’ve learned that healing and growing aren’t one-time moments—they’re a constant process of showing up, even when it’s hard.As an artist, I nurture growth by allowing myself to create without pressure—to explore, to fail, and to start again. Not every piece needs to be perfect to have meaning. Sometimes my favorite designs come from mistakes I rework. This lesson is mirrored in life: growth comes not from what goes right, but from how we respond when things fall apart. If you could speak to the version of yourself who first picked up a piece of clay, what would you tell her now?I’d tell her she doesn’t have to hold it all together or pretend she’s okay. She’s allowed to fall apart. She’s allowed to rest. Those quiet hours at the kitchen table—shaping tiny petals just to make it through the day — are doing more than she realizes. She’s not just creating something with her hands; she’s slowly piecing herself back together.Info: www.boldandbloom.com

OWN THE LOOKYour Designer Wardrobe Without Following The TrendsArticle by Patricia Canole | Photography by Neil J TandyFashion Model: SasaSTYLE & FASHION

35Fashion at its finest has nothing to do with mimicry and everything to do with mindset. The women who truly command a room aren’t chasing what’s “in”—they’re shaping their own visual language. Their clothes speak with confidence, intention, and quiet originality. They’re not following fashion. They’re editing it.Because looking at the high-end isn’t about labels; it’s about clarity, proportion, and the freedom to bend the rules. The most compelling thing you can wear is the one thing no one else has: your own point of view.REDEFINE THE CLASSICS A well-built wardrobe starts with the familiar: a sharp blazer, a faultless white shirt, leg-lengthening black trousers, denim that fits like a friend. But the magic is in how you reinterpret them. Cinch a blazer with a belt, cuff the sleeves of that crisp button-down, or contrast tailored trousers with retro trainers. Suddenly, the basics feel intentional—modern pieces with a bit of soul.LESS, BUT LUXURIOUS True luxury lives in restraint. It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality. Invest in pieces that feel as good as they look: a silk blouse that glides, linen that wrinkles with charm, an animal-print jacket that gains character with every season. When construction, fabric, and fit align, even the simplest outfit feels elevated.THE POWER OF ACCESSORIES Accessories are the quiet authors of your style story. Forget loud logos; subtlety makes the stronger point. Look for fashionable goggles, jewelry, or a belt with just the right pinch of personality. Aim for materials that age well and carry your history. CONFIDENCE IS THE COUTURE Style isn’t just about clothing, it’s about presence. When you dress with intent, everything reads richer. Wear pieces that reflect who you are, and even the simplest outfit turns into a signature. Confidence is the real luxury.THE STATEMENT A standout coat can shift your entire look, and a saturated orange one does it in seconds. It feels bright, bold, and artful—an instant mood lift. Let it act as your personal trademark. Layer it over denim, neutrals, or even eveningwear. Keep the rest of the outfit calm and let the coat carry the conversation. A thoughtful burst of color always registers as refined.THE EDITOR’S FINISHING TOUCH A great hat isn’t just something you wear—it’s energy. A brown leather brim adds warmth, edge, and a hint of mischief. It softens sharp lines, sharpens casual ones, and brings that editorial polish usually reserved for fashion insiders. Pick one with subtle structure and let time and wear give it character.

PLAY WITH PROPORTION The runway lives for contrast—tailored lines softening into ease. Lean into silhouettes that feel slightly unexpected: a razor-sharp jacket, or relaxed trousers. Then add a detail that’s unmistakably yours—an intentionally undone element. Style should raise an eyebrow, not explain itself.

38 MONOCHROME MAGICThere’s a special kind of confidence in wearing white from head to toe. It’s clean, architectural, and quietly commanding—a study in purity with a knowing wink. When everything is kept within the same shade, the interest comes from texture and shape: a soft knit layered under a structured coat, a crisp pant paired with a fluid blouse, a smooth leather bag against a cloud-light wool scarf. The palette may be singular, but the effect is anything but simple. All-white dressing feels intentional, modern, and impossibly fresh, the kind of look that turns minimalism into its own form of luxury.THE MODERN MINIMAL MOODThis look leans into clarity—clean architecture, fluid movement, and a palette that feels as fresh as morning light. Nothing is overworked, yet everything is considered: the sharp line of a tailored jacket, the soft ease of a knit that skims instead of clings, the touch of shine that adds just enough lift. It’s style distilled to its essentials, the kind of dressing that reads effortlessly but lands with unmistakable presence.SOFT POWER, REIMAGINEDThere’s a quiet confidence in pieces that don’t need to shout. Think of sculpted silhouettes, clean lines, and fabrics that move with an almost whisper-light grace. This look proves that elegance lives in subtle choices—the crisp fall of a coat, the easy drape of a silk blouse, the way a monochrome palette lets texture do the talking. It’s modern, self-assured dressing for a woman who knows presence isn’t declared. It’s felt.To visit Fashion Model Sasa, contact her on www.instagram.com/sasaworldwide

39In Italy, fine jewelry has long symbolized beauty and a sense of belonging. It’s a tradition passed from generation to generation, from artisan to apprentice. Today, two Italian maisons, Nanis and Cammilli Firenze, exhibit artistry from the red carpet to real life, shaping a more personal vision of luxury.Across Vicenza and Florence, many ateliers are now led by women, giving new form to Italy’s goldsmithing heritage. These are women who respect the past but refuse its limits: gold now bends, reverses, and moves.LUXURY THAT LIVES WITH YOUTheir creations are not declarations of status but reflections of inner authenticity and belonging. Wearable luxury, as they define it, isn’t about making jewelry casual. It’s about creating pieces that feel personal, whether worn every day or for extraordinary moments.Rather than designing pieces to be worn only on red carpets, they create jewelry meant to be lived in—sculptural, expressive, and deeply personal. Two of the most compelling voices in this evolution are from Vicenza and Florence: Laura Bicego, co-founder and creative force behind Nanis, and Annamaria Cammilli and her daughter Raffaella Renai. Their works bridge tradition and freedom through artistry born of discipline and elegance, shaped for movement.LAURA BICEGO: TRANSFORMATIVE ARTIn her Vicenza atelier, Laura Bicego of Nanis believes gold should never feel static. A second-generation goldsmith, Bicego grew up immersed in a long tradition of craftsmanship. She founded Nanis Italian Jewels with her husband, Piero Marangon, in 1990 to redefine the concept of jewelry and create pieces that are effortless, personal, and fun.A VISION OF FLUID GOLDA few years later, she patented Trasformista, a mechanism that turns a bracelet into a necklace with a simple gesture. More than a design, it became a manifesto: jewelry should adapt to the woman, not the other way around. “Gold is a living language,” says Bicego, an expression of movement, emotion, and freedom. “I have made it my life’s mission to create jewels that live and breathe with their owners, pieces they never want to take off.”At the heart of this philosophy lies the Boule, Nanis’ signature element. Sinuous, round, and light, it embodies women’s ability to embrace change with grace and balance. The Boule defines Nanis’ most iconic collections, such as Ciliegine and Ivy, where unusual gold pearls are hand-engraved using a traditional tool—a savoirfaire passed down through generations of Italian artisans, giving a soft, luminous, silk-like texture that feels almost alive. It’s a tactile expression of true luxury.LA BELLA SPARKLEThe Women Redefining Italian ShineArticle by Christine A. BarakatSTYLE & FASHIONLaura Bicego Raffaella Renai Annamaria Cammilli

40THE FLORENCE-BORN SCULPTURAL AESTHETICIn the Muse collection, double-sided designs reveal two expressions: one in hand-engraved 18kt gold, the other in natural stones inspired by Italian cocktails of the 1960s—Dolcevita, Rosolio, Lattementa, Violetta, and Anice. In the newer Reverse Baby line, natural stones are reimagined in smaller, lighter forms, with each piece designed to turn, adapt, and follow the wearer’s rhythm. “Women should not have to adapt to jewelry,” says Bicego. “Jewelry should adapt to women.” It’s a vision that is both poetic and rebellious, bridging artisanal craft with modern sensibilities to bring both movement and emotion to Italian jewelry design.Info: www.nanis.itCAMMILLI FIRENZE: GENERATIONS IN GOLDAnnamaria Cammilli approaches gold the way an artist approaches light. Before founding her maison in 1983, she was a sculpture and painter. That heritage defines Cammilli Firenze: jewelry conceived as art, in form as well as finish, and shaped by the light and architecture of a city that continues to inspire its

aesthetic. “Florence is our eternal muse,” says Annamaria. “Each Cammilli jewel, in its sculptural volumes and velvety surfaces, carries a fragment of Florence’s timeless light.”At the heart of the brand’s style lies a tension between matte and shine. The proprietary Aetherna satin finish transforms gold into a velvety surface that absorbs light, while slender polished ridges return a sudden brilliance, animating each piece. The result is neither decorative nor minimal; it’s architectural, echoing the balance and geometry found in Florentine art.LIGHT, SHADOW & THE CAMMILLI SIGNATUREThe Dune collection captures this philosophy with wind-shaped curves and diamond accents that create rhythm rather than opulence. Colored stones—tourmaline, peridot, tanzanite—shift like twilight across a Tuscan horizon. In a market crowded with revival campaigns and celebrity placements, Cammilli Firenze follows a quieter path. Its pieces are not designed to shout, but to endure, existing somewhere between jewel, art object, and architectural form. Indeed, in tune with what modern women want: jewelry that becomes part of the body’s choreography and the mind’s emotional narrative. “We want women to feel seen,” says Raffaella. “Not for how they look, but for who they are. A Cammilli jewel is not just decoration; it’s a fundamental part of identity that allows women to express their individuality, inner strength, and elegance.”A SHARED VISIONIn a world where visibility often defines success, these women build presence through permanence, letting the finished product speak for itself while spearheading a broader Italian movement toward wearable luxury that perfectly fuses beauty and lifestyle.Designers like Laura Bicego, Annamaria Cammilli, and Raffaella Renai are making fine jewelry less about the occasion and more about the woman herself—her story, her light, her freedom. In their hands, one of Italy’s most enduring art forms takes on a distinctly modern expression.--info: https://www.cammillifirenze.com/ithttp://www.nanis.us/

42 FOOD & DRINKStep inside Grand Central Terminal and the tempo of Manhattan life hums all around—heels clicking, trains rushing, voices blending into the great, urban symphony. But just beyond the iconic concourse, a quieter world unfolds. Behind a grand arched entryway,Grand Brasserie feels like a portal to Paris: a place where time slows, elegance reigns, and every detail whispers refinement. The moment you enter, the city’s buzz fades to a low hum. Light glints off polished brass. Plush burgundy banquettes curve invitingly beneath vaulted ceilings. Marble-topped tables catch the warm glow of sconces, and the air is filled with faint notes of soft jazz. The setting is part art deco glamour, part Parisian dreamscape—a love letter to both New York’s golden age and the timeless allure of France. Created by the acclaimed Rockwell Group, Grand Brasserie’sinteriors echo the drama of Vanderbilt Hall but wrap it in a softer, more inviting glow. The 300-seat main dining room opens with a sense of scale and polish, while the tucked-away 100-seat Green Room—lined with deep leather banquettes and anchored by a sculpted marble bar—gives guests a more intimate, moodier refuge. Each space feels intentional, offering its own rhythm depending on what you’re after.GRAND CENTRAL’S HIDDEN JEWELWhere French Elegance & New York Energy MeetArticle by Patricia Canole | Photography by Jovani Demetrie

43A TOAST TO THE CLASSICSAt the heart of the room, the bar gleams like a centerpiece of conviviality. It’s where commuters pause for a perfectly balanced Manhattan, where travelers sip Champagne before catching a train, and where locals return for the impeccable service. Bartenders here are craftsmen—mixing classics with flair, always ready with a smile and a suggestion. And though the pace outside never slows, here one lingers. With a cocktail in hand and the city’s history shimmering just beyond the glass, the atmosphere strikes that rare balance between relaxed and refined—a New York moment with a distinctly French soul.THE LANGUAGE OF FRENCH CUISINEThe culinary philosophy at Grand Brasserie is rooted in the art of French dining—simple, seasonal, and sensuous. Chef Guillaume Thivet’s menu reads like a love poem to tradition: Escargot à la Bourguignonne, rich with garlic-herb butter; silken Duck Liver Mousse paired with fig jam; and Lobster Bisque that envelops with its oceanic depth. But real poetry begins with the main courses. The Steak Frites is a master class in brasserie perfection—tender, juicy, and served with golden, truffle-scented fries. The Bouillabaisse, fragrant with saffron and brimming with shrimp, mussels, and clams, feels like a sun-drenched memory from Marseille. For something unexpected, the Duck Confit Burger captures the restaurant’s playful spirit—a French delicacy reinvented for Midtown Manhattan. Brie, caramelized onions, and arugula meld into something decadent yet perfectly modern. Even the vegetarian Ratatouille sings with color and flavor, proving that simplicity, in the right hands, can be sublime. And then, dessert. The Crème Brûlée cracks beneath your spoon with a caramelized sigh, revealing a custard that’s impossibly smooth. The Tarte Tatin—buttery, caramel-laced, and kissed with apples—feels like the final, exquisite note of a symphony you wish would never end.

44SERVICE WITH GRACEWhat elevates Grand Brasserie beyond the sum of its parts is its service—attentive, knowledgeable, and quietly confident. From the gracious host who greets you at the door to the sommelier who knows exactly which Sancerre pairs with your fish, every interaction feels personal and polished. The wine program is a triumph in itself: an expertly curated selection of French and global vintages that complement the menu’s depth and finesse. Whether you’re after a celebratory Champagne or a full-bodied Bordeaux, the team’s recommendations never miss the mark.AN URBAN OASISTo dine at Grand Brasserie is to rediscover the art of lingering—a rare luxury in Manhattan. Here, amid the grandeur of Grand Central, time slows. Conversation flows. The city, for a moment, feels softer. It’s a restaurant that understands both its setting and its soul—a place that honors history while embracing the present. For travelers passing through or locals seeking an elegant escape, Grand Brasserie isn’t just a meal, it’s a moment of grace in the city that never stops.Info: www.grandbrasserie.comChef Guillaume Thivet

46 The new year brings excitement and big goals. Yet beyond the surface enthusiasm, many seek deeper change: lasting renewal that comes from within, not from external challenges. As 2025 is now a memory, many feel drawn to let go of old identities and patterns. Entering 2026, the focus shifts from hustle to attentive listening and deeper self-connection.For most, transformation happens through inner frequency, not force. Clearing subconscious blocks helps break old cycles, shifting creation from external pressure to internal coherence.Meet Kristine Genovese, who created a method to guide people toward deep renewal. We spoke with her about the Soul Intelligence® Method and her insights on starting the New Year with new energy. As we move into a new year, what does “new energy” mean to you on a soul level? For me, “new energy” is not about reinventing yourself but about returning to the truth of who you already are. On a soul level, it’s a shedding of the heaviness you’ve carried, the expectations you’ve absorbed, and the emotional residue that no longer belongs to you.In 2025, the year of the wood snake and a “9 year,” marked endings and completion cycles, urging us to leave behind everything built on fear and to shed identities shaped by safety. In contrast, 2026 is the year of the fire horse and a 1 year, symbolizing new beginnings with energy focused on motion, courage, and inner strength. This is the year your growth surpasses doubt, and you become the version of yourself built for freedom. Aligning with the new year’s energy means embracing your inner power. How do you personally recognize when your energy is calling for renewal or recalibration? My body always tells me first. When I feel mentally foggy, emotionally reactive, exhausted, or disconnected from my intuition, that’s my signal. I also notice when my stomach bloats and things start to feel like “effort”—when something that should flow begins to feel heavy. Those moments tell me my energy needs recalibration, grounding, or clearing before I move forward. How can people begin the year by tuning into their Soul Intelligence® rather than external expectations?Your Soul Intelligence® is always speaking; it’s just often drowned out by noise, pressure, and comparison. The best way to tune in is to pause before making decisions and ask, “Does this expand me or contract me?” Close your eyes and feel into it when you ask yourself. When you choose expansion, you’re aligning with your WELLNESSBEYOND RESOLUTIONSTuning Into Your Soul’s Frequency For A More Aligned New YearArticle by Brooke Young I Photos Courtesy of Kristine Genovese

47soul. It’s also about listening to what your body is telling you; it’s the most honest source of truth you have. Why is clearing subconscious energetic blocks essential before setting intentions or goals?Because if you’re carrying unresolved emotions, trauma patterns, or old narratives, those blocks become the lens through which you set your goals. You might chase things that aren’t truly aligned. You might pick goals based on fear, scarcity, past wounds, or the need to prove something. Clearing energetic blocks first allows you to create from wholeness rather than from the fragments of old stories. How does the Soul Intelligence® Method help someone enter the new year with emotional, spiritual, energetic, clean-slate energy? The Soul Intelligence® Method is designed to release the subconscious and energetic imprints that keep people looping through the same patterns year after year. Instead of reliving past pain or analyzing old wounds, the method clears the energy at its root so you can move into the new year without dragging emotional baggage behind you. It restores you to a state of neutrality, clarity, and openness, so your choices come from alignment rather than survival mode. Many people start January in “hustle mode.” What’s the energetic cost of that?Hustle mode might appear productive externally, but internally it drains your nervous system, disconnects you from your intuition, and puts your body in a state of chronic stress. This is the difference between grind and flow. Often, hustle mode stems from the self-limiting belief of “I’m not good enough,” driving us to overachieve or overdo. When you force yourself into action before your energy is ready, you set goals that demand constant effort to maintain. This leads to exhaustion, emotional burnout, and a loss of connection with your soul. Ultimately, alignment will always take you further than hustle.Info: www.soulintelligencemethod.com

TRAVELBELIZE From Ancient Ruins To Barefoot LuxuryArticle & Photography By Neil J. TandyBelize isn’t a destination—it’s an awakening. It’s the place where time loosens its grip, where you trade city pace for Caribbean rhythm, and where every horizon seems to hum with color and life. For years, I’d dreamed of visiting this small Central American gem, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how it felt to be there. My journey began on Ambergris Caye at Alaia Belize, just a short flight from Belize City but a world away in spirit. Set right on the Caribbean, it’s the kind of resort that redefines luxury—elegant yet unpretentious, polished but still barefoot at heart. Mornings began with the soft pink glow of sunrise spilling through my window; evenings, with a cocktail at the Vista Rooftop Sushi Bar as the sky faded to violet. The staff—led by the ever-gracious Scott—made me feel instantly at home, like I was part of the family. From there, I traded the sea breeze for mountain mist at Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge, tucked inside a 7,200-acre private reserve in the Mountain Pine Ridge region. The drive inland revealed rolling hills, dense forests, and waterfalls that felt like secrets the earth had decided to share. My villa, complete with infinity pool and stone fireplace, looked out over a valley so still it seemed to breathe in unison with you. It was the kind of peace you don’t realize you’ve been missing until it wraps around you.My last stop, Naia Resort and Spa on the Placencia Peninsula, brought me back to the coast. My beachfront cottage sat just steps from the water—coffee in hand at sunrise, stars overhead by night. It felt like the world had narrowed to just the sound of waves and the glow of candlelight.FLAVORS OF A NATIONIf you want to know Belize, start with its food. Every bite tells a story—part Caribbean, part Latin, entirely its own. Breakfasts came with fry jacks, those golden, puffed clouds of dough that somehow make mornings better. Lunches meant grilled snapper, coconut rice, and sometimes a splash of local rum.One afternoon, I joined a food tour around San Pedro, zipping from café to café by golf cart. Each stop offered something different: garnaches topped with beans and cheese, spicy curries, and finally, the sweet scent of cacao at the Belize Chocolate Company. There, amid laughter and melted chocolate, I learned how much care goes into something as simple—and sacred—as a bar of dark chocolate. At Hidden Valley, local chef Sean Kuylen elevated tradition into art. We dined beneath the stars after a Mayan blessing ceremony, his dishes balancing fire and fruit, earth and air. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a love letter to Belize itself.ADVENTURE—ANCIENT AND ALIVEYou can’t visit Belize without feeling the weight—and wonder—of its history. Deep in the Chiquibul Forest Reserve, the Caracol ruins rise out of the mist, monumental and humbling all at once. I climbed the stone steps slick with rain, the jungle whispering all around, and imagined what life might have been like when this was the heart of a mighty Mayan city.Back at Hidden Valley, a morning hike led me to Butterfly Falls, a hidden cascade dropping into a jade pool so clear it begged for a swim. Later, at Alaia, the adventure turned modern—a molecular mixology class with master mixologist Subhash. Watching him transform local ingredients into spherified cocktails and cigar-smoked old fashioneds felt like alchemy, equal parts science and play. And then there was the flight over the Great Blue Hole—the moment every traveler dreams of. From above, its deep indigo circle looks almost surreal, the ocean around it glowing turquoise and white. It’s impossible not to feel small and awed all at once.Butterfly Falls, Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge

50The final days blurred into a blissful rhythm of island hopping—snorkeling with stingrays off Silk Caye, savoring grilled fish on Ray Caye, and watching pelicans dive off Moho Caye as the sun melted into the horizon.A GOODBYE THAT STAYS WITH YOUOur last night at Naia was a celebration of sound and spirit—a beach bonfire, Garifuna drummers, and laughter spilling into the night. I danced badly but joyfully, surrounded by strangers who already felt like friends.By Monday morning, as the plane lifted off the runway, Belize was still with me—in the scent of sea salt, the echo of drums, the calm that lingers long after you’ve gone.Belize doesn’t just show you beauty—it slows you down enough to feel it. And once you do, you’ll understand why it’s impossible not to return.Yes, I’ll be back. Belize has a way of calling you home.Photos top to bottom:Fry Jacks for breakfast at D Family Diner, San PedroMayan ruins at CaracolWhether you want to explore the Blue Hole, explore Mayan ruins, your trip planning is made easier with our quick guide to featured hotels, restaurants, and tour operators.
