ลกั ษณะโครงสร้างท่ีสาํ คญั ของคาํ ถามชนิดน้ีกค็ ือ วางกริยาไวต้ น้ ประโยค แบ่งออกเป็น
3 ประเภท ดงั น้ี

ประโยคคาํ ถาม ประโยคคาํ ตอบ

1.ข้ึนตน้ ดว้ ย Verb to be Yes, he is.
(ใช่ เขาเป็น)
Is, Am, Are, Was, Is he a teacher? No, he isn’t.
Were (เขาคือคุณครูใช่ไหม?) (ไม่ เขาไม่ไดเ้ ป็น)

2.ข้ึนตน้ ดว้ ย Verb to do Do you know her Yes, I do.
Do, Did, Does (ค่ะ ฉนั รู้จกั )
name? No, I don’t.

The Bullfrog and the Cow
อ่ึงอ่างกบั ววั

At a peaceful pond, the young bullfrogs were jumping up and
down joyfully. When mother bullfrogs came back, the young
bullfrogs told her about the horrible event. “ Mommy, mommy, a
huge beast with four legs walked thunderously. Bang! Bang! It
stamped many of us the death.” The mother went to know how big the
beast was. She inflated herself and asked, is it as big as me?” “No, it
is bigger. “ Her kids answered. The mother inflated herself more and
asked again. But, her kid still replied, “no, you do not meet that half-
size.” The mother was very annoyed. She continuously inflated
herself more and more. But, her kids still told that, “no, you do not
meet the half size.” The mother bullfrog was extremely angry. She
inflated herself without concern about her life. This time her body
could with stand no longer. Her stomach suddenly exploded. So, the
poor mother bullfrog died at the bank of the pond.

พองตวั ข้ึนแลว้ ถามวา่ “ตวั ใหญ่ เท่าน้ีไดไ้ หม?” “ใหญ่กวา่ น้ีอีกจะ้ แม”่ ลกู อ่ึงอ่างตอบ แม่อ่ึงอ่างพองตวั ให้
ใหญ่ข้ึนอีก ลกู กบ็ อกวา่ “ยงั ใหญ่ ไม่ถึงคร่ึง เลยจะแม่” แม่อ่ึงอ่างเร่ิมหงุดหงิด จึงเบ่งทอ้ งใหใ้ หญ่ข้ึนเรื่อยๆ
ไม่ยอมหยดุ แต่ลูกๆ กย็ งั คงบอกเหมือนเดิมวา่ “กย็ งั ใหญ่ ไม่ถึงคร่ึงเลยจะ้ แม่” แม่อ่ึงอ่างชกั โมโหเตม็ ที จึง
พองตวั สุดแรงอยา่ งไม่คิดชีวติ ฮึบ! อนิจจา คร้ังน้ีเกินกวา่ ที่แม่อ่ึงอ่างจะทนไหวทอ้ งจึงแตกตายท่ีริมหนองน้าํ

We should have humility and know the suitable things for us.

Vocabulary Horrible = น่ากลวั
Annoy = เบื่อหน่าย Bullfrog = กบ
Explode = ระเบิด Stomach = ทอ้ ง
Peaceful = สงบ Inflated = พองตวั
Pond = สระน้าํ
Concern = กงั วล
