We all are bored of our routine life! Isn't it? So let's have some fun today.
on 10th December
We at Mahanagar have planned for some interesting Board Games to ease off your stress.
Charter Day
celebration on Nupur from Gamer Heads is all set to put up some splendid way of keeping us engaged and
26th December energetic today. Gamer Heads is a board games community in Kolkata. They introduce people
to the world of Board games beyond Ludo and Scrabble. Their mantra is – “When there are
board games, entertainment is bound to follow!”.

Gamer Heads strive to get together people who love the age old entertainment value of board
gaming. From LUDO to CATAN, from MONOPOLY to CARCASSONE.

Started by a Young Couple (Harsh & Nupur) who are Board Game Enthusiasts. Their love for
board games made them incorporate this community and host Gaming Tournaments.

So we at Rotary Calcutta Mahanagar are all set and looking forward to a fun filled winter
afternoon with Gamer Heads.

Mahanagar Bloodline

On 22nd November, our Club carried out Blood Grouping Camp
and registered 100 SOS donors for our Bloodline. Camp was
conducted at "Haroa Block TMC Youth Con," Haroa Basirhat 24
Parganas (N).

Report of RWM held on 19th November

In today's hustle bustle life, we all are ignoring our
health. The result is that we are now victims of
various ailments. One prominent one is the problems
relating to our Kidneys. And the need of the hour is to
protect our kidneys so that we live a healthy life.

Our Guest Speaker at the RWM on 19th November,
renowned Urologist, Dr.Mohan Chand Seal,
highlighted on the types, symptoms and the
treatment of the Kidney ailments. Through a perfect
audio-visual presentation he in an analytic way
informed about the kidney problems and how we can
self- check it.

The members and spouses present had many
queries in mind which Dr.Seal answered with a lot of
ease and cleared it. A small token of love in the form
of a plant and gift was presented to Dr.Seal by First
lady Usha Agarwal and Shalu Agarwal.

Overall it was an informative and educational
meeting. What was an icing on the cake was that our
Guest Dr.Mohan Chand Seal has kindly consented to
be the Honorary member of our Club.

PROJECT HAPPY SCHOOL Self Defense Workshop

It gives immense pleasure to inform that today Happy Aiming at Women Empowerment, the self-defense workshop

gardening in the school. An E-learning kit was also installed On 23rd November, 30 girls participated in our self

expressed their approval of the project. We also propose to
start a vocational training in school for students.

You will be happy to know that this is an 101 year old school,
founded by none other than Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das
in 1921 with Netaji Subhas Chandra as founder Secretary.

President Ashok Agarwal and myself were present and
motivated students to maintain school and excel in studies.

HOMEOPATHY CLINIC

Our homeopathy clinic at Bhowanipore is running successfully.
It is able to benefit a large number of people every week.

On 17th November, total 15 patients were treated and given
free medicines

On 20th November, a total of 18 patients were treated.

EYE HOSPITAL

Due to the continued efforts and with the aim of selfless service,
our Eye Hospital is running in full swing and performing
surgeries almost everyday. The auto rickshaw announcements
and camps to find people in need of surgeries is proving to be
very successful.
On 15th November 6 Free SICS surgeries were done.
On 16th November, approx 14 free SICS and 1 Phaco surgeries
done
On 18th November at our Eye Hospital 32 Free Eye Surgeries
were done.
On 20th November 8 surgeries were done
On 22nd November, total 8 surgeries were done
On 23rd November, 14 Free IOL and 2 phaco surgeries were
done
On 25th November, 9 surgeries were done.

PROJECT MHM - RED PRIDE

Happy to inform you that Project MHM is flying high!!!
The focus point of our very own Shekhar Da, regarding women empowerment, Project MHM was launched on 1st July and after
benefitting nearly 700 plus girls and women, Project MHM is all set to benefit the girls of Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with
Rotary Club of Dharamshala.
On 26th November, we had the menstrual awareness camp and distribution of menstrual kits to over 50 girls/women jointly
with Rotary Club of Dharamshala.
President of RC Dharamshala Rtn.Sandra Guleria and Past President V.S.Parmar were present along with the representative of
Project MHM of Rotary Calcutta Mahanagar.

STAR ROTARIAN

The star of our club this fortnight is our very own Rtn.Dr. R.P.VIDHAWAN. He volunteered
for a blood donation and health checkup camp organised by the Umpires of the Cricket
Association of Bengal, and was facilitated and honored by the same. Dr. Vidhavan's
dedication to service and humbleness over all these years is a true inspiration for all.
