€25,000 Dawn to Dusk, Nostra’s annual charity fundraising event is in its third year where our
entire team take part in a 12 hour endurance event to raise much needed funds for
SPONSORSHIP charity. For the 2018 event, we have chosen Barretstown as our charity partner and
OPTIONS we look forward to working closely with such a worthwhile charity.
Since the events inception in 2015, Nostra has raised over €50,000 for worthwhile
€1,500 charities and individuals. This year, we are setting ourselves an initial target of
€25,000 with the hope of exceeding our expectations.

2015 We ran from London to Cardi raising €7,500 for the Irish Cancer
€250 Society. Over 10 engineers and support sta ran in relay to the
destination just over the Severn Bridge.

2016 We split in to four teams of runners, walkers, cyclists and drivers
where we raced against each other from Dawn ‘til Dusk nishing
at Loop Head. We raised over €20,000 for Zaki Djellabi who
su ered from severe Cerebal Palsy and needed a life changing
operation. Zaki has grown from strength to strength and now
takes part in his own charitable endurance races.

2017 We followed the same theme and we raced from Dawn ’til Dusk
nishing up in Wexford raising over €23,000 for Jack McNi e and

Alex Donnelly. Jack su ers from Down Syndrome and CINCA
(Chronic Infantile Neurological Cutaneous Articular) syndrome
which is the only known case in the world. Alex su ered HIE
(Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy) just before birth and her
parents are eager to give Alex access to the intensive rehabilita-
tion required so she can reach her full potential.

For 2018, we're breaking in to 4 teams and racing against each other from Dawn 'til
Dusk. The runners, walkers and cyclists will race along the Western Green way from
Westport to Achill Island. Nostra CEO Kevin O'Loughlin will drive the Wild Atlantic
way stopping in each town to increase awareness and to maximise donations.

€25,000 A Brief Introduction to Barretstown

SPONSORSHIP Barretstown o ers free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and
OPTIONS their families living with a serious illness – supported behind the scenes by 24 hour
on site medical and nursing care.
€1,500 We look after both the physical and emotional well-being of a child by creating a fun
and safe, medically supported environment where they can make new friends, share
experiences - and continue their treatment if they need to.
Our range of camps and programmes cater for a variety of medical needs but our
overarching ambition at all times is to o er children a happy and stress free environ-
ment where they can be challenged, have fun and above all be children again.
Barretstown was founded by legendary Hollywood actor Paul Newman in 1994 and
since then we have welcomed almost 40,000 campers. All camps are dependent
upon our amazing volunteers and all of the children and families come to Barret-
stown free of charge. Everything, including accommodation, food, medical assis-
tance and activities are provided at no cost to the family.

€250 Funding Challenge

One of the founding principles of Barretstown is that all children and families come
to camp completely free of charge. We have an annual fundraising target of €5.5
million each year and over 97% of those funds come from entirely voluntary sources.
That is why we are so grateful to organisations like Nostra who are taking on a sta
challenge to raise funds so that more children living with a serious illness can experi-
ence the magic of Barretstown. Any support that you can give by way of sponsorship
or donations is greatly appreciated.
