PART 2: PERSONAL RESPONSES TO THE ISSUE B. RECOMMENDATIONS / SUGGESTIONS / SOLUTIONS / PREDICTION RECOMMENDATIONS ROLE MODELLING ESTABLISH A REPORTING SYSTEM Encourage positive role modeling among adults and older peers to set an example of respectful and kind behavior. SET POLICIES AND RULES By implementing and enforcing school policies and rules that clearly outline how students are supposed to treat one another, school staff may help prevent bullying. The consequences for breaking the rules should also be made very clear. Schools can establish clear procedures for reporting rule violations so that reasonable consequences can be given to students when rules are broken. Reporting systems help track individual incidents and responses as well as trends over time. 12
