My Story

My family used to go through hard times. We felt disconnected sometimes. Especially with my
brother. There was something bad going on at school. So, that’s why, we decided to get a companion. A
furry friend to help us when we felt sad. The perfect pet for that, was a cat.

On our way to the Humane Society, I remember thinking about how this would really have an
awesome effect on Noah and I. When we felt down, we would just come to the kitty we fostered. When we
got to the Humane Society, we found the perfect one. She was playful, cuddly, and sweet. The sad fact was
that we would only have her for two days. For those two days, the cat helped my brother and I to get
through our problems. We couldn’t let her go, so we decided to keep her for at least one more week! That
week was amazing! We felt much better and we started to get a little too close to our furry companion! Of
course, then, we kept her for two more weeks! And, of course, those two weeks was very calm and
fantastic! We had to adopt her! After we convinced our parents, I felt more confident and happy. Almost
all my troubles I had before just drained away. To this day, I’m feeling much more confident. Having a cat
has made me more happier.

History of Cats as Pets

It all started in Ancient Egypt in 7000 B.C. Egyptians basically worshipped cats. Imagine living in a

house with tiny beasts in every corner. Rats, Scorpions, Spiders, anything! It was then when the Egyptians

found out the problem solver to this. The cat.

The same graceful creatures that now just sleep on your pillow cutely, were life saving companions to

the Egyptians. It’s no wonder that generations of Egyptians were drawn to worship them.

Egyptians then started to treat cats as very important, loved family members. They treated them as

they treated their own children. They would mummify their cats and mourn them in the same way they

did to their family members. Much in the same way we cat-lovers mourn our own beloved furry family

members as we do today.

Fun Fact:
Cats has once saved
people by defending
families from vermin.

Without cats, civilization as
we know it might have

never survived!

Their Unique ial Mr Ferguson Cat
Features All rights reserved by The Official Mr Ferguson Cat

Cats are very unique. One of their
features is that they have very good eyesight.
You may think that they have night vision,
but, it’s not true. They have excellent
eyesight so they see better in the dark. But, if
it’s too dark, they cannot see.

Another feature is that you can tell
how their feeling by the way they move their
tail! When they’re happy to see you, their tail
will be strait in the air. When they want to be
friends, their tail will be up in the air, but,
curved at the end. And, one more, when their
tail is by their side and curved at the end
facing down, that’s when they feel loving.

Life Cycle of a Cat

Life Span Kitten Adolescent
Death
An Average cat lives to
about 2-16 years. The oldest cat Senior Adult
ever to live was 38 years and 3
days old!

If you’re suspecting your
cat starts to die, These are some
signs that you can take note of.

● No longer eating or
drinking.

● Weakness
● Difficult or laboured

breathing.

Similarities and Differences

Cats are very similar. But, they do have their differences. For example, Male
cats tend to be larger than feline cats. Also, there are two types of cats. Feral, and
house cats. But, cats have a lot of similarities too.

Almost all cats recognize their name. If you say it to a newborn and continue
on till about 1 year or so, they will start figuring it out. Another cool fact is that
they have 20 bones that control where their ears move. Also, Cats sleep 70% of
their lives. These are only some of their cool features!

Food

Cats eat all sorts of meat. Chicken, cooked beef, and turkey. They also eat fish. Make sure
it’s canned fish, or something like that. Raw fish can make your cat very sick.

Food like chocolate, Coffee, well, any sort of energy drink, grapes, raisins, cheese, milk,
onions, garlic, and, well, almost anything that I haven’t listed in what they eat may be
poisonous. So please be cautious when you’re eating and your cat is around.
