Period Five

Geography

A time I visited a new place was when I went to Catalina island last
summer. My sister and I traveled on a boat with our aunt, uncle, and
small cousin for about an hour. The view out the window was
amazing. When we arrived, I noticed that the island was covered by
tons of buildings, including restraunts, hotels, shops, and houses. It
was definitely a new experience

Religion

A religious holiday i celebrated was Baptism. I went to St.Philomena,
when I was about two or three with the majority of my family. The
priest baptized me with holy water and blessed me with a candle. My
parents told me that the church was filled with toddlers. I wouldn’t be
a Catholic Christian if I hadn’t been baptized.

Achievements

One invention that has improved my life is smartphones. If
smartphones hadn’t been invented, I would not be able to contact my
parents if I was in trouble. Smartphones also make work easier. With
smartphones, I can look up things about the subject I was assigned. I
would also not be able to check my grades and see what I needed to
improve.

Politics

My household rules are very strict, and thorough. One household
rule is no breaking curfew. If my parents caught my sister or I
breaking curfew we would be grounded for weeks! We can’t be
reading, drawing,or listening to music. The item we were using
would be confiscated.

Economics

My household chores include doing the dishes, setting the table,
taking out the trash, keeping my room clean, and taking care of my
grandma.our allowance during the year is nothing, but my allowance
during the summer is 75 dollars every three months. The type of
career I would like to have when I am older is to be an author. I would
like to be an author because I like to use my imagination and be
creative.

Social Structure

My family is very large. It consists of my sister, Quinn, my mom,
Kathleen, my dad, Adam, my grandparents, Jose and Carole, and
my cat, Elsa. Other family visits often throughout the year, and most
often during the holidays. One thing my family likes to do together is
watch movies.
