FOG

2021 RECAP

Before the season began, the Fog made it clear they
weren't looking to compete in 2021 as they traded 1st
round pick Najee Harris to the Villains in exchange for two
future 1sts and two promising young WRs. Throughout the
season and to the dismay of some league GMs, they barely
put together a starting lineup in attempt to secure a top
draft position in '22. Regardless of how others feel, they
accomplished their mission finishing in last place with a 1-
13 record and a record-low 905 points scored on the season.
However, they gathered a plethora of picks which will be
used to reshape this roster moving forward.

STRENGTHS

There aren't many strengths on this young and unproven

roster. QB Lamar Jackson is the only player that is

Projected Starters comfortably startable on a weekly basis as he offers elite
upside with his rushing ability. In 2021, Jackson finished the

KEY ADDITION: BREECE HALL 2021 FINISH:

Investing in players from historically bad teams such as the NY 1-13 (12TH)
Jets isn't an advisable thing to do, yet the Fog continue going

back to this well, hoping the franchise's luck is turning around.
In addition to WRs Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims, the Fog now PF: 905 (12TH)
roster RB Breece Hall after selecting him with the 1st overall PA: 1540 (1ST)
pick in 2022. Hall is an elite talent, however, totaling over 4,500
yards, 50 TDs, and 80 catches over three seasons at Iowa State. HISTORY
Even with runningmate Michael Carter slated to garner some
work, Hall will likely finish with approximately 240 touches 0
which would have put him inside the top 15 last season.
RECORD:
POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: COLE KMET
17-23
Slated as the Fog's breakout last year, Cole Kmet didn't quite
have the season that was expected but he was solid, finishing DIVISION RECORD:
with 612 yards and 60 catches off of 93 targets. However, no TE
finished with more fantasy points under expectation (-36.6) 3-8
than Kmet partially due to him not scoring a single TD on the
season. In 2021, that number will surely increase as will the PLAYOFF
expected targets. QB Justin Fields will be in his second season APPEARANCES:
and have an offense more tailored to his skillset. The Bears also
didn't surround Fields with any legitimate weapons making 1 ('19)
Kmet the likely #2 target behind WR Darnell Mooney. Kmet has
the size and athleticism (87th-percentile height, 88th-percentile BEST PLACING:

could easily break into the TE1 bracket this season. 2ND ('19)

BIRD LAW
ACADEMY

Projected Starters 2021 RECAP

Player '21 Finish Acquired The 2020 reigning champions, Bird Law Academy, had their
best regular season with a 11-3 finish (tied for 1st) and 1718
QB Josh Allen QB1 Startup - '19 points scored (2nd). The high points were likely not needed
as they had a league low 1382 points scored against them.
RB Jonathan Taylor RB1 Trade - '20 The team was mostly led by strong seasons from their big 3
players, those being Josh Allen (QB1), Jonathan Taylor
RB D'Andre Swift RB19 Trade - '20 (RB1), and Davante Adams (WR3). Having such a strong
regular season, team GM Garry Julson, could smell a repeat
WR Davante Adams WR3 Trade - '19 championship coming. Because of this, he prematurely
celebrated the night before, going into full gloat mode and
WR Allen Robinson WR87 Startup - '19 putting the team in peril by starting an inactive D'Andre
Swift. This would lead to the team's downfall in the
WR Christian Kirk WR26 Trade - '22 semifinals and thus, the dynasty that never was.

TE Pat Freiermuth TE14 Draft 2.06 - '21 STRENGTHS

FLEX Rashaad Penny RB36 Waivers - '21 Bird Law Academy heads into 2022 still rostering the
league's best fantasy QB in Josh Allen who put up 418
2022 Rookie Draft Picks points last season. Aside from QB, the RB position is a
strength of this team as Jonathan Taylor and D'Andre Swift
Pick Player Team Pos provide excellent floors and ceilings at the position.
Garrett Wilson NYJ WR2 Rashaad Penny, Antonio Gibson, and Miles Sanders give
1.04 George Pickens PIT WR6 decent depth as well.
1.08 IND WR11 The WR group is somewhat deep as well but it might take
2.05 Alec Pierce TEN RB11 until mid-season to know which guys will be startable on a
3.03 Hassan Haskins BUF WR21 weekly basis.
4.03
Khalil Shakir WEAKNESSES

AUGUST 2022 | ISSUE 03 57 While Bird Law Academy has depth and youth at the skill
positions, they all come with plenty of question marks.
Outside of 4 fantastic games to end the season, Rashaad
Penny has been irrelevant the remainder of his 4 year
career and needs to prove he can maintain that workload
and stay healthy in an offense that lost Russell Wilson.
Antonio Gibson, meanwhile, is seeing his stock fall fast as
he looks to be entering a RBBC in Washington. At WR both
Michael Thomas and Allen Robinson are looking to prove
they still can perform after having a combined disastrous 3
years between them. Also, the TE position is still in limbo
as the team is yearning to find a weekly starter with
upside.

KEY ADDITION: CHRISTIAN KIRK 2021 FINISH:

After trading Terry McLaurin this offseason and seeing no 11-3 (3RD)
production from Michael Thomas or Allen Robinson the year

before, Bird Law Academy made a deliberate effort to get
younger and build a higher floor at the position. In addition to PF: 1718 (2ND)
drafting several upside rookie WRs (Wilson, Pickens, Pierce), PA: 1382 (12TH)
they traded a '25 1st to the Tropics for Christian Kirk. In 2021,
the 25yo WR had his best season due to him finally being used HISTORY
in the slot. He finished with 112 targets, 83 receptions, 1035
yards and 5 TDs. Kirk signed a monster deal in the offseason to 1
become the No. 1 WR for Jacksonville where he should stay
kicked inside after they got little production from that position RECORD:
in 2021. Kirk has the ability to give Bird Law Academy a high
floor every time he is in the lineup. 27-13

POTENTIAL COMEBACK: MICHAEL THOMAS DIVISION RECORD:

The last time we saw Michael Thomas was in 2020, when he 7-4
played in only 7 games and was WR41 in points per game (zero
TDs). Entering his age 29 season, Thomas will need to stay PLAYOFF
healthy and get used to a brand new team that includes QB APPEARANCES:
Jameis Winston and WRs Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry. Both
the increased target competition and downgrade in QB play will 3
likely lower Thomas' ceiling but he should still be the number
one target and provide a high floor with the chance to have BEST PLACING:
some boom weeks if he catches a few TDs in the redzone. Either
way, Thomas is set for a bounce back and Bird Law Academy 1ST ('20)
will likely welcome any sort of production at this point.

GM
SPOTLIGHT

WITH

WITCH DOCTOR'S GM

ISAAC
SCHREIBER

The Witch Doctors were likely thought of as a non-contender by many in the league and this
is likely partially due to their GM, Isaac, who is a bit of a wildcard when it comes to making
(or lack of making) fantasy moves that often raise eyebrows. However, after a surprise
successful 2021 season the Witch Doctors are the reigning Champions and their GM has
gained some credibility from those who might have doubted him.
We were able to catch up with him this offseason and gain some insight and reflection before
we head into the new season where he looks to dominate the West and defend the
Championship Title.

Q: Isaac, first congratulations on your championship A: They each have their pluses and minuses. I like redraft for
season in the DODN. I want to get this out of the way right the draft parties I guess.
away. Anything you would like to say to the people that
doubted you? Q: Ass or Titties? Why?
A: Just a lot of doubters out there. I had to have a lot of things A: Tough one. Titties, but not at the sacrifice of ass. I would
go my way and I don’t really have a ton of depth, so I get it. I rather have a nice ass and mosquito bites than nice titties and
am sure the power rankings are going to be something stupid a long back. But if they have both I am defintely playing with
again where I am like 10th. Just got to make it to the playoffs the titties all day.

trades. I guess the Renfrow trade had some good value. Q: Which team would you love to see succeed this year?
Love to see fail? Other predictions on finishes this year?
Q: Do you prefer redraft or dynasty? Why? A: I mean I want to win obviously. But I think Andy is in a place
with his picks where he can make some moves and

win easily. Its fun for me when Kyle loses, especially when he
could have won but left points on the bench. He is just so deep
everywhere.

Q: What do you think are your realistic odds if you were to
make a betting line on you taking the dynasty pot this
year?
A: -700

Q: Who is your favorite player in the NFL? Why?
A: Another hard one. I am not sure if I have a favorite. I am
going to have fun watching Allen and Wilson this year.

Q: Who do you think is your breakout player on your
roster this year?
A: LOL have you seen my roster? I hope one of my
quarterbacks figures his life out this year. I need a Tom Brady
replacement.

Q: What is your favorite flavor of Crayon?
A: Grape

Q: When you’re gone, and the earth has decomposed your
body, what do you hope they say about Isaac in the DODN
history books?
A: I hope no one reads the DODN history books after we are
all gone. Might be best to delete that history.

Q: Aside from Ben Ford’s salad fingers, what creeps you Q: Favorite type of alcohol to consume?

it all. It’s never worth it and I am just sad at the end.

Q: If you could take one move back from your fantasy Q: If you were going to insult someone’s child, whose
career in DODN, what would it be? would it be and why?
A: At the time I was a little upset about the Michael Thomas A: That’s good...
move. I could have gotten more.
Q: Have you ever eaten ass?
Q: If you were an animal, what kind of animal would you A: I am a grown ass man Jeremy, what do you think?
be and why?
A: Any animal, mainly so I don’t have to read the DODN chat Q: What is one of your favorite childhood memories?
anymore. A: There was a time when I didn’t know you fucks... much
simpler times.

that left us more curious afterwards. We

SMOKE FROGS

2021 RECAP

The Smoke Frogs had a bit of a nail-biting regular season,

especially in the final weeks as it became clear they'd need

to earn a wildcard spot to reach the playoffs again. They

ended up doing just that with an 8-6 record (6th best) and

1646 points scored (3rd best). Once again, their playoff run

was cut short in the 1st round after putting up a measly

62.28 points against the Tropics. This was especially heart-

breaking as it was sandwiched in between weeks of strong

production (146 in Week 14, 130 in Week 15).

However, the Smoke Frogs are one of the most active

teams in the league when it comes to utilization of Free
Agency and the Trade Block , meaning they'll do what

they need to do to give themselves a chance again in 2022.

STRENGTHS

The Smoke Frogs have a very solid roster compared to

many other teams in the league. QB Kyler Murray is a

Projected Starters surefire QB1 going into the season with his new toy (old
pal) Hollywood Brown to open up this offense even more.

Player '21 Finish Acquired The WR group is both strong and deep with AJ Brown, Tee
Higgins, Amari Cooper, Adam Thielen, and Gabriel Davis. All

looking to address the position in next season's draft.

AUGUST 2022 | ISSUE 03 63

KEY ADDITION: ADAM THIELEN & 1ST 2021 FINISH:

With a young WR core in place, the Smoke Frogs are looking to 8-6 (5TH)
get young RB group to match. They clearly have their eye on a

RB in next season's rookie draft as they traded away WR Deebo
Samuel for Adam Thielen and the Shocker's 1st round pick. PF: 1646 (3RD)
Thielen, while 31 years old, is still a lethal weapon in the PA: 1418 (8TH)
redzone for the Vikings and is a favorite of QB Kirk Cousins.
With an improved high-powered offense, Thielen should help HISTORY
the Smoke Frogs still compete while they scout the 2023 draft
class for high-end RB talent. It might be a long year to sit with 0
the pick but the value will only skyrocket as the rookie draft
draws closer and other teams in the league are looking to shore RECORD:
up their own aging RB groups.
24-16 (4TH)
POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: GABRIEL DAVIS
DIVISION RECORD:
In 2021, Bills WR Gabe Davis only finished as WR53 with 35rec,
549 yards, and 6TDs. However, he flashed massive potential in 7-5
the playoff loss to Kansas City erupting for 8 receptions, 201
yards, and 4 TDs on only 10 targets. Still only 23, Davis will be PLAYOFF
entering his prime and is on an offense with a prolific passing APPEARANCES:
game, led by elite QB Josh Allen. In 2022, Davis has lots of room
to improve. While Stefon Diggs will draw a massive amount of 2
targets, Davis no longer has compete with Cole Beasley or
Emmanuel Sanders, for what is left. With 2 years of NFL BEST PLACING:

2021 RECAP

After a poor outing the previous season, The TDs bounced

back in 2021 with a 9-5 record (4th best) and 1550 points

scored (6th best). However, they did not secure their

division and missed out on a wildcard playoff spot by only 2

points, ending the season 8th overall for the 2nd

consecutive season. Once again, the team ran into some

bad luck as RB Christian McCaffrey missed most of the

season once again to injury and newly acquired WR Calvin

Ridley missed all but 5 games due to off the field personal

issues.

STRENGTHS

The TDs strongest position is TE as they deploy a dynamic

duo of Kyle Pitts and George Kittle. Both TEs finished in the

top 7 at the position. Pitts in particular has room to

KEY ADDITION: CEEDEE LAMB 2021 FINISH:

Perhaps the 2nd most shocking trade this offseason, the Silent 9-5 (8TH)

TDs in exchange for RB Elijah Mitchell and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Lamb immediately becomes the TDs best WR, injecting both PF: 1550 (6TH)

departure of WR Amari Cooper, Lamb is slated to be the top
receiving option in a high-powered Cowboys offense. The 3rd HISTORY

played in four games in 2021 with at least a 50% snap share and
his PPR fantasy finishes were RB1, RB3, RB4 and RB3 (averaging PLAYOFF

WITCH DOCTORS

Projected Starters 2021 RECAP

Player '21 Finish Acquired They may not be the Champion the league deserves, but
they definitely are the one that it needed. Seen as an
QB Tom Brady QB3 Trade - '20 underdog by many, the Witch Doctors pulled off a 10-4
regular season record (3rd best) while scoring 1632 points
RB Austin Ekeler RB2 Trade - '20 (4th best). They capped it off with a massive win over the
Tropics in the Championship game to become the first ever
RB James Conner RB5 Trade - '20 champions in the West. Several big trades were made in
order to put this winning roster together including
WR Chris Godwin WR17 Trade - '20 acquisitions of Brandin Cooks and Mark Andrews. It may be
awhile before we see the Witch Doctors repeat but they
WR Brandin Cooks WR20 Trade - '21 have given hope to the other underdog teams that
anything is possible provided you can make the playoffs.
WR Hunter Renfrow WR11 Trade - '20
STRENGTHS
TE Mark Andrews TE1 Trade - '21
After a brief retirement the goat, Tom Brady, returns at QB
FLEX Tyler Boyd WR31 Trade - '21 always hungry to add new hardware to his collectdion. The
Witch Doctors again are stacking him with Chris Godwin
2022 Rookie Draft Picks who is a surefire WR1 in this offense once he is fully
recovered from his ACL injury. Brandin Cooks and Hunter
Pick Player Team Pos Renfrow are both excellent complimentary pieces at the
Kyle Philips TEN WR23 position. This team also sports 2021's TE1 in Mark Andrews
4.07 Greg Dulcich DEN TE4 and RB2 in Austin Ekeler, both of whom are primed to have
4.09 Kenny Pickett PIT QB1 big seasons yet again in their respective offenses.
4.11
WEAKNESSES

Generally it is hard to poke holes in an offense that
essentially hasn't changed eight months following their
championship run. However, the Witch Doctors are not
deep at any of the skill positions and some would argue
that some members of the starting lineup landed in ideal
situations in 2021 where they might be hard pressed to
repeat. Should Ekeler or Conner go down at RB, the Witch
Doctors will find themselves starting one of Sony Michel,
Miles Gaskin, JD McKissic, or Nyheim Hines... all of which
are 2nd or 3rd on their respective depth charts. Beyond
Tyler Boyd who will likely be flexed most weeks, the only
other WR on the roster is Kenny Golladay who has been
irrelevant since 2019.

KEY ADDITION: KYLE PHILIPS 2021 FINISH:

Having acquired zero players in trade since October '21, the only new 10-4 (1ST)
faces have come through the '22 draft. Kyle Philips is the 1st skill

position player ever taken in a rookie draft by the Witch Doctors.
Taken in the 4th round, he could end up being a draft steal once the PF: 1632 (4TH)
season is over. The UCLA product is an average athlete, measuring PA: 1389 (11TH)
5'11" 189lbs, and has typically lived in the slot and returned punts.
These are both areas where he will likely play for the Titans. He has HISTORY
above average foot quickness and can create good separation in man-
coverage. If Philips can improve his route running, he should be able 1
to earn significant time in the slot this season. Many analysts are
comparing him to Hunter Renfrow and Jamison Crowder which is RECORD:
likely where his ceiling is, should he continue to improve his skillset.
22-18 (6TH)
POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: TUA TAGOVAILOA
DIVISION RECORD:
In this case, Tua Tagovailoa isn't the breakout player the Witch
Doctors need but he is the one that they deserve. After not drafting 7-4
any skill position players the previous two drafts and instead drafting
3 QBs (Tagovailoa '20, Trask '21, Pickett '22) and trading for 2 (Brady PLAYOFF
'20, Watson '21), the options for breakout candidate are slim. In 2021, APPEARANCES:
"Tua" finished as QB26 throwing for 2653 yards and a 16:10 TD to INT
ratio in 13 games played. In 2022, the team opted to build around Tua 2 ('20, '21)
bringing in superstar WR Tyreek Hill along with an improved offensive
line, new RB group, and a new offensive scheme helmed by HC Mike BEST PLACING:
McDaniel who hails from the Shannahan coaching tree. These
additions combined with Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki give Tua no 1ST ('21)
excuses this season. If he can't breakout this year, he likely doesn't
have a starting job in 2023. WORST PLACING:

SILENT GHOSTS

Projected Starters 2021 RECAP

Player '21 Finish Acquired The Silent Ghosts quietly put up the best season the
franchise has seen to date, finishing 9th overall with a 6-8
QB Matthew Stafford QB5 Waivers - '19 record and 1440 points scored. However, they were still 4
wins behind the division winning Witch Doctors and
RB Elijah Mitchell RB25 Trade - '22 needed 110+ more points to earn a wildcard spot in
playoffs. GM David Konnight did attempt to bolster this
RB Chase Edmonds RB35 Trade - '20 roster mid-season by trading for DeAndre Hopkins, Ezekiel
Elliott, and Hunter Henry (two of which are already gone).
WR Tyreek Hill WR6 Startup - '19
STRENGTHS
WR Terry McLaurin WR25 Trade - '22
The QB spot on this team is in good hands with Matthew
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster WR137 Trade - '22 Stafford who had a career year in 2021 after being traded
to the Rams. He should help the Silent Ghosts consistently
TE Dawson Knox TE8 Trade - '22 put up points again this season.
The WR group for the Ghosts is also slightly underrated,
FLEX James Robinson RB24 Trade - '22 even though there have been questionable trades. Gone
from a season ago are CeeDee Lamb, Marquise Brown,
2022 Rookie Draft Picks Courtland Sutton, and Michael Gallup. They have been
replaced by Terry McLaurin and JuJu Smith-Schuster who
Pick Player Team Pos join Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins to form a solid group.
Tyler Allgeier ATL RB5
2.02 Jalen Tolbert DAL WR13 WEAKNESSES
2.09 Velus Jones CHI WR22
4.05 Isaih Pacheco KC RB21 Just as it was a season ago, the Ghosts find themselves
4.06 heading into 2022 with a less than ideal RB situation. The
best RB on the roster is newcomer Elijah Mitchell who is
more of a RB2 with upside as he operates in the 49ers
RBBC. Aside from Mitchell, this team will be relying on
James Robinson to come back from an Achilles injury and
Chase Edmonds to win the starting job in a crowded Miami
backfield. There was an attempt to shore up the position in
the draft with the additions of Tyler Allgeier (2.02) and
Isaih Pacheco (4.06). Both of these rookies do have some
preseason hype and find themselves in advantageous
situations with their respective running-mates and teams.
Nonetheless, the chances of a late round RB becoming
fantasy relevant is slim to none, yet the Silent Ghosts are
hoping Pacheco can be this year's version of Elijah Mitchell.

AUGUST 2022 | ISSUE 03 77

KEY ADDITION: TERRY MCLAURIN 2021 FINISH:

After trading away young WR stud CeeDee Lamb along with 6-8 (9TH)
some young upside pieces in Marquise Brown and Courtland

Sutton, the Ghosts needed to bring someone in to fill the void
and pair along with Tyreek Hill. They opted for Terry McLaurin PF: 1440 (9TH)
who they traded their '23 1st for to the Tropics. McLaurin is an PA: 1524 (2ND)
excellent WR who has been hovering in WR2 territory due to
bad QB play. In '21 he finished with 1053yards and 5 TDs off of HISTORY
77 receptions. Now he has QB Carson Wentz as his QB and even
though Wentz isn't considered a top QB, he will be the best QB 0
McLaurin has had. In '21 with the Colts, Wentz supported
Michael Pittman on his way to a WR15 finish and McLaurin is RECORD:
arguably a much better WR than Pittman. 2022 could be the
year McLaurin makes a massive leap in overall finish and PPG. 12-28 (11TH)

POTENTIAL COMEBACK: DEANDRE HOPKINS DIVISION RECORD:

2021 was not kind too WR DeAndre Hopkins who dealt with 3-8
hamstring issues before tearing his MCL in week 14. 2022 isn't
off to the best start either as the WR is suspended for the first 6 PLAYOFF
games due to PEDs. However, there is reason to be excited for a APPEARANCES:
bounceback once he returns. Prior to '21, Hopkins has played in
at least 15 games each season and has had 1000+ yards 0
receiving in 6/9 seasons, leading the league in TDs in '17. He is
still an elite talent on a team that runs an air-raid offense with BEST PLACING:
QB Kyler Murray under center. At 30 years old, Hopkins is past
his prime but he likely has a few years left of solid production. 9TH ('19 & '21)
