NEW ARTS PROGRAMS COMING THIS FALL
Our future at Bridgewood Farms ensures our vision of helping our Intellectually and
Developmentally Disabled (IDD) clients have artistic opportunities by
teaching skills, techniques and concepts that develop personal growth.
This allows our clients to discover and develop their talents and abilities
with new creative ideas. This program will meet a vital need of
incorporating art to showcase how our clients speak and communicate.
These are the things that make them happy, make them laugh and
smile, ultimately making them thrive!
Please see the wish list on the last page of the newsletter for a list of
specialty items needed to make this program a great success!
**SPECIAL OLYMPICS BOWLING UPDATE**

shortage of support staff and a lack of funding. We have also been struggling to get information from

Meet Gloria Mellott
Born in Tyler, Texas, Gloria moved to Houston at a young age and later set-
tled in Montgomery where she has lived ever since. She loves that the area
has a small town feel with big city amenities, friendly people, calming out-
doors and rich history.
Gloria has two children, a daughter who resides in Alaska and a son who
lives with her. Sadly, her husband passed away in 2014. Gloria’s son was
born in 2003 with a heart condition, ADHD, Irlen Syndrome and has been di-
agnosed in the Autism spectrum. When Gloria isn’t working, she is spending time with her son,
reading or enjoying the outdoors.
Gloria is hard-working and determined, goal oriented and organized. She places great im-
portance on good attitude, the ability to listen to others and she values having opportunities to
help those around her in any way. Her work philosophy is the same, whether she represents a
client or her family: she serves with fairness, integrity and dedication. She has a passion for the
community and is excited to be a part of the Bridgewood Farms family! Welcome, Gloria!
