Daniel’s Life Before the Lions
-80+ years old when threatened with the lions
-Exiled to Babylon when just a teenager
-Worked in Babylonian gov’t while homeland destroyed
-New king, new government when thrown in lions’ den

Daniel’s Prominence (Daniel 6:1 – 5)
-Being good worker generated jealous co-workers
-Daniel attacked on basis of his religion
-We too, can be ridiculed

Daniel’s Dilemma (Daniel 6:6 – 12)
-Faced with the threat of the lions, he prayed. . . as usual
-It’s not threats that hinder us, it’s schedules

The King’s Dilemma (Daniel 6:13 – 18)
-King afraid of losing his best administrator
-Anxiety keeps him from eating, sleeping
-Tells Daniel he hopes Daniel’s God rescues him

Daniel Saved, The King Believes (Daniel 6:19 – 28)
-Daniel immediately gives God the credit
-King believes in Daniel’s God, issues decree for all to believe
-Daniel continues in King’s service

Summary/Conclusion
