EDITOR’S NOTE

Hello everyone! It’s now 2021! Welcome to
a new year! The school obviously has
already started. We know it’s hard for us to
still normalise the new form of teaching, for
sure but we think some of us has already
getting used to it. We hope everyone is
focusing and thriving in their online
classes. We know we didn’t get to feel a
school environment and class atmosphere
but it’s the best for us for now until the
pandemic, covid-19 stops. We hope that
the SPM students are doing their best as
well. We wish they’re acing their exams!
Stay safe and be happy!

Regards,
Iryanie and Putri Amera

STORY TIME!

The Obstacle In Our Path

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. He then hid himself and watched to
see if anyone would move the boulder out of the way. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and
courtiers came by and simply walked around it.

Many people loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything
about getting the stone out of the way.

A peasant then came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the
peasant laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the road. After much pushing and
straining, he finally succeeded.

After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables,
he noticed a purse lying in the roa d where the boulder
had been.

The purse conta ined ma ny gold coins a nd a note from
the King expla ining tha t the gold wa s for the person
who removed the boulder from the roa dwa y.

Mora l of the story: Every obsta cle we come a cross in
life gives us a n opportunity to improve our
circumsta nces, a nd whilst the la zy compla in, the others
a re crea ting opportunities through their kind hea rts,
generosity, a nd willingness to get things done.
