View from the Bay - July 2020

THE BAY WAY

We often talk about “The Bay Way.” It’s often in the context of how we work as a team to
efficiently move loans from submission to funding. It’s a reference to our commitment to support
our originators with best practices and systems. It’s certainly about our unique family culture.
Yet, it’s also about our compassion for our communities and our support of young endeavors.
In this month’s View from the Bay you will read portions of some of the thank-you notes we
received from food banks across the nation. Our $135,000 contribution impacted many lives.
Giving back to our communities is truly “The Bay Way.” And that’s just one example. Branches
across the country are very much involved in supporting events and causes in support of
their neighbors.
You will also read about recipients of this year’s Dollar to Scholars scholarships. We can all take
pride in helping these remarkable young men and women who are on their way to great things
in the future. The Bay Way.

BE AT HOME

It’s been another month of working from home and we have some great stories of how
co-workers are taking advantage of this opportunity. Not only are they doing great work
professionally, but spending quality time with family.
And there are a few BE at Home stories with a twist. The big vacation that came to a sudden
halt. The ultimate quarantine with no phone or Internet (How does that work?). Plus, it’s more
than OK to talk to chickens.
We truly appreciate the great jobs all are doing remotely. With record volume and units, the
pressure is on and Bay Equity is getting it done. Exceptionally well done.
As some parts of the country are starting to reopen, please stay safe and follow the recommendations
of the CDC and your state and local health authorities.
