Corporate Social RailTel as an organization believes in putting
sincere effort towards societal development
Responsibility
Responsibility along with growing business. RailTel’s
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects
are carefully curated to cater to the
marginalized sections of the society. Health,
education and economic empowerment of
downtrodden people, especially women and
children has always been at the core of the
CSR activities of RailTel.
To solve the problems related to menstrual
hygiene in adolescent girls and women RailTel
is running a project on Menstrual Health
Management to educating the educators &
adolescent girls 180 Government Upper
Primary Schools of 8 Aspirational Districts of
Uttar Pradesh. The program is very successful
Students at Railtel Akansha Super 30 in educating adolescent girls from backward
districts by sensitizing them about Social
Taboos and Religious Beliefs present in the
society and diseases caused due to improper
and unhealthy hygiene practices.
RailTel is also implementing “RailTel Akansha
Super 30” project at Dehradun for the benefit
of underprivileged students belonging to the
state of Uttarakhand. This is one of the
Corporation Social Responsibility (CSR)
activities undertaken by RailTel. Since the
beginning of the project in 2016 till 2021, the
overall success rate of this project has been
94% which is an excellent achievement.
Apart from these, RailTel is also running digital
MHM Programme literacy centres, supporting running cancer
awareness , health camps, building toilets etc.

Human Resource RailTel’s biggest asset is not its network but its
human resource which built and runs a sustainable
business successfully. The company provides a
positive work environment and RailTel is an inclusive
workplace which gives growth opportunity for all.
Regular events/occasions like Annual day, Women’s
Day etc are celebrated with pomp and show.
Important days/weeks like Hindi Pakhwada,
Constitution Day, Vigilance Awareness weeks etc are
observed diligently.
RailTel puts dedicated focus on training and
development of employees and deserving executives
are promoted in due course. In the past 3 years 360+
regular employees have been promoted to higher
grade.
Holi Get together at Coroporate Office Policies are also being updated constantly to make
them more time appropriate and employee friendly.
Wage and allowance revision of contractual and
outsourced employees, revision of lease entitlement of
regular employees, transfers on compassionate
grounds etc were some of the employee friendly
initiatives taken during the past 3 years.
Keeping up with the changing time, RailTel has
adopted NIC e-office platform for the day to day
filing work on digital platform. This has increased
efficiency of RailTel workforce and paperless office
has resulted into reduced administrative cost and

The year 2020 started a global pandemic causing major disruption and threw unprecedented challenges upon
people and businesses. RailTel being an ‘employee first’ company, tackled this challenge with utmost empathy.
Many employees were given work from home even after the lockdown was lifted. A covid dashboard was created
to keep track of the employees contracting covid. A covid 19 helpline and covid fund were also set up to provide
support to all employees as well as their families. All expenses of Covid treatment and vaccinations were also
promptly reimbursed.Also, early adaption of e-office helped RailTel tremendously during the lockdown period as all
office work were being done on digital platform accessible from anywhere using virtual private network (VPN).
