Hum Ek Hain: Harmony
The IPSC Visual Art Fest 2022
'an Affair with Art'
THE IPSC VISUAL
ART FEST
Strife and violence have been rife in the world. The society is
crumbling under the mounting problems and tensions of fanaticism,
war, terror, killings, exploitation of the backward and the weaker
and incalculable devastation. Wars are fought to resolve differences
but in turn, they give rise to new problems. Small splinter glows and
becomes the epitome of destruction. Angry passions flare up and
ignite damage. So long as materialistic concept and callous outlook of
life persists, nothing will yield any tangible results.
The IPSC Visual Art Fest presents before you a Collective Collage
of ‘Hum Ek Hain’, a great, big, beautiful and blank canvas. You are
a masterpiece in the tapestry of talent. With all the colours of the
spectrum on your palette, splash the canvas with the sweep and
stroke of your paints and brushes. Showcasing your style and mood,
your design and creativity, RKK brings alive ‘Harmony’ of your
imagination and dreams.
Illuminating Presence
His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji Sahib
Chief Guest - Opening Ceremony
A stellar strength for RKK, His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh
Ji of Marwar, truly embodies greatness and humility in equal
measure. A great persona of such aristocratic lineage and
charismatic leadership certainly needs no introduction.
Leadership is not making friends and influencing a person,
leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, raising a
person's performance to a higher standard and building an
individual beyond the normal limitations.
His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji, a visionary is one such true leader in every sense who truly
justifies this quote.
Calm and unruffled in the vicissitudes of life, he has proven every time that values, ethics and
courage are the best armours of a true man. He believes in making the impossible, really
possible. His relentless pursuit for excellence and perfection has kept him closer to his people.
Often called the Savior of Rajasthan’s Royal Heritage, the Maharaja Sahib is an active
Philanthropist and Educationist. He has been the High Commissioner of India and a Member of
the Indian Parliament who has dedicated himself to community service & upholding the cause
of righteousness.
A great promoter of Arts, Music, Conservation and Restoration of Heritage Monuments and
other Cultural Traditions of Marwar, the charitable foundations of His Highness are actively
involved in Education for Girls, the Rehabilitation of Defence Personnel and Families,
Environmental Projects, Water Harvesting in Rural Areas, Medical Care of Weaker Sections,
the Management of Ancestral Temples and the list is endless.
Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji believes that the younger generation is the future of India and through
various Heritage Clubs in schools, students can be made aware about the city's heritage.
As the State Convenor of INTACH [Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage] and
through the activities at INTACH, and young INTACH, Maharaja Sahib involves children, youth
and women in heritage activities to make them aware about issues and how they can help with
their efforts.
The persona of His Highness cannot be described in mere words. Your Highness is an
unsurpassed and unparalleled personality of great stature.
We cordially welcome His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji as our Chief Guest and thank him for his
support and commitment to be with us at all times and on all occasions.
Principal's Prologue
Mrs. Neera Singh
I The IPSC Head of the School
nterlaced with a diversity of rich cultures, languages,
customs, beliefs, traditions and unique landscape, comprising
the young and the proud Himalayas, the snowy valleys of
Kashmir, pure and serene Ganges, tantalizing Thar Desert,
thick forests of Chambal, the evergreen Nilgiris, the damps of
Sundarbans, the enriching Kerala, the enthralling Goa, India
is a unique combination of Unity in Diversity.
Civilizations are not built with bricks and mortar, steel and machines, they are built with the
culture, customs and character of the inhabitants. Martin Luther King Jr. has rightly said,
“We’ve learned to fly in the air like birds, we’ve learned to swim in the seas like fish and yet we
haven’t learned to walk on the Earth as brothers and sisters.”
The world today is torn with conflicts, plagued by crisis and shattered by animosity, communal
riots, ethnic strife, cross border terrorism, strikes, atrocities and violence. These have become
the norms and order of the day involving millions of people, inevitably resulting in a horrible
series of killings bloodshed and sufferings. The present turbulent time beckons every Indian to
arise, awake and stop not until the goal is achieved.
What is actually the goal of our life - A battle or a vision? A trial or a tale? A tempest or a mid -
summer’s night’s dream? Perhaps it is unison of art and culture, language and literature, joys
and sorrows, success and failure, all woven together to create the wonderful texture of India’s
unity.
Any effort to define ‘Art’ is bound to fail - rightly quoted by Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath
Tagore. Art is full of life and vitality, a vehicle of expressing thoughts, feelings and ideas
beautifully and powerfully. It is an attitude of life that finds nothing alien or common. It is just
an essence of our enlightenment and refinement of actions and reactions.
Let’s give up the creed of pistol & the sword and live peacefully on the principle of ‘Vasudev
Kutumbhkam’ meaning the whole world is our family – our unwavering belief in
multilateralism. The golden age is not behind us but it is before us. Let’s bring to life, the vision
of a Utopian or an Ideal World where there are no boundaries, religious intolerance, no
distinction between rich and poor, no racial pride and arrogance, no tyranny and oppression,
no class and creed, no exploitation and injustice. There is only Acceptance and Recognition of
‘Hum Ek Hain : Harmony’.
A cordial welcome to all by RKKians at RKK where love resides, memories are created, friends
always belong and laughter never ends.
