Tujuan Pembelajaran :
Setelah mempelajari chapter 01 diharapkan anda mampu untuk :
1. mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan (conditional: past
dan past perfect )teks interaksi transaksional lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan
memberi dan meminta informasi terkait pengandaian terjadinya/dilakukannya sesuatu
yang tidak nyata pada saat ini dan pada waktu lampau,.

Read the following explanation about conditional sentences type 2
and type 3 in order that you can understand and apply it into
sentences.
a. Conditional Sentence Type 2.
➢ Apa itu conditional sentence type 2?
Adalah kalimat pengandaian yang menyatakan sesuatu yang
bertentangan dengan kondisi pada saat ini/pada saat sedang
dibicarakan.
➢ Fungsi conditional sentence type 2 adalah untuk menyatakan
angan-angan yang tidak sesuai dengan fakta pada saat kita
sedang membicarakannya (pada saat ini).
➢ Pola dari Conditional Sentence Type 2 adalah sebagai berikut:
If + S + V2…,S +would + V1
➢ Karena tidak sesuai dengan fakta pada saat kita sedang
membicarakannya (pada saat ini), maka bentuk tenses yang
digunakan untuk menyatakan fakta adalah simple present
tense

❖ Sedangkan faktanya aku bukan seekor laba-laba (I’m not
a spiderman)
2. If I flied to the moon, I would take a selfie picture there.
❖ Artinya seandainya aku terbang ke bulan, aku akan
berswafoto disana.
❖ Sedangkan faktanya aku tidak terbang ke bulan pada
saat ini dan aku tidak berswafoto di sana (I don’t fly to
the moon and I don’t take a selfie picture there.)
b. Conditional Sentence Type 3
➢ Apa itu conditional sentence type 3?
Adalah kalimat pengandaian yang menyatakan
sesuatu(kejadian) yang bertentangan dengan apa yang terjadi
pada masa lampau.
➢ Fungsi Conditional Sentence Type 3 adalah untuk menyatakan
sebuah penyelasan atas apa yang sudah terjadi, maka bentuk
tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan fakta adalah simple
past tense.
a. Verbal Sentence

(-) S + did+not+V1
b. Nominal Sentence
(+) S + was/were+adj./adverb./noun
(-) S + was/were+not+adj.adverb./noun

❖ Artinya jika seandainya pada saat itu saya belajar
dengan rajin, saya akan telah lulus ujian.
❖ Sedangkan faktanya pada saai itu dia tidak belajar
dengan rajin dan dia tidak lululs ujian (he diddn’t study
hard and he didn’t pass the test.) yang ada tinggal
penyesalan.
2. If I had remembered to take my umbrella with me yesterday,
I wouldn’t have gotten wet.
❖ Artinya jika seandainya kemarin saya ingat untuk
membawa payung, maka saya tidak akan basah
kehujanan.
❖ Sedangkan faktanya kemarin saya tidak ingat untuk
membawa payung dan saya basah kehujanan (I didn’t
remember to take my umbrella and I got wet.)

Is it important to know what your kids are watching? Of course yes. Television can expose
things you have tried to them from, especially violence, pornography, etc.
A study demonstrated that spending too much time on watching TV during the day or a
bedtime often causes bed-disruption, stress, and short of sleep duration. Another research
