Welcome to Year One of the

LEAGUE OF EXTRA ORDINARY
GENTLE FOLKS

To get us motivated for this season, here is Al Pacino's
speech from Any Given Sunday:

“I don’t know what to say, really. Three minutes
to the biggest battle of our professional lives. All
comes down to today, and either, we heal as a
team, or we’re gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play
by play. Until we’re finished. We’re in hell right
now, gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay
here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can
fight our way back into the light. We can climb
outta hell… one inch at a time.

Now I can’t do it for you, I’m too old. I look around, I see these
young faces and I think, I mean, I’ve made every wrong choice a
middle-aged man can make. I, uh, I’ve pissed away all my money,
believe it or not. I chased off anyone who’s ever loved me. And
lately, I can’t even stand the face I see in the mirror.

You know, when you get old, in life, things get taken from you. I
mean, that’s… that’s… that’s a part of life. But, you only learn that
when you start losin’ stuff. You find out life’s this game of inches, so
is football. Because in either game – life or football – the margin for
error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and
you don’t quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you
don’t quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us.
They’re in every break of the game, every minute, every second.

On this team we fight for that inch. On this
team we tear ourselves and everyone else around
us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our
fingernails for that inch. Because we know when
we add up all those inches that’s gonna make
the f****** difference between WINNING and
LOSING, between LIVING and DYING!

I’ll tell you this, in any fight it’s the guy whose
willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I
know, if I’m gonna have any life anymore it’s
because I’m still willing to fight and die for that
inch, because that’s what living is, the six inches
in front of your face. Now I can’t make you do it.
You’ve got to look at the guy next to you, look
into his eyes. Now I think you going to see a guy
who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a
guy who will sacrifice himself for this team,
because he knows when it comes down to it your
gonna do the same for him. That’s a team,
gentlemen, and either, we heal, now, as a team,
or we will die as individuals. That’s football
guys, that’s all it is. Now, what are you gonna
do?”

History AAF

All-time I f you like high-ceiling/low-floor players, then Team AAF is right

0-0 up your alley.  Drafting McCaffrey over all-world running back
(.000) Saquon Barkley with the first pick in the draft was an early sign that
Kyle would be bucking normal dynasty trends and take “his guys” at
Last year the turn every round.  There are several question marks on this team
with huge potential payoffs.  Names like Amari Cooper, Damien
0-0 Williams, and Lamar Jackson come to mind. As Antonio Brown
adjusts to a new team and a new helmet, the range of outcomes
0th range from the best wide receiver in the league to a top-24 finish for
a player on the last leg of his career.  As someone who analyzes risk
Playoff daily, it’s possible Kyle knew what he was building during this draft.
Appearances What does he know that we don’t? We’ll find out soon enough.

of Love

With the second pick in the draft, Team Nuklyus

selects…..DeAndre Hopkins!  Was it a hometown pick?  Maybe.  But
Nuk has always been productive, even when the Texans were stuck
starting turds like Brian Hoyer and Brock Osweiler.  With Deshaun
Watson at the helm, the sky is the limit for Hopkins, who is in the
prime of his career.  Corey’s team is built on value picks, with young
studs like Chubb, Diggs, and Golladay falling to him at key picks.
Fournette in the fourth round could end up being a steal looking
back following the 2019 season.  And since the New York Giants lack
any real receiving options, Evan Engram is looking better each day.

Saquads

A strong start for a mostly strong draft.  No one thought

Saquon would last until the third pick in the draft, but Jonathan was
more than happy to take the best young running back in the NFL
there.  Taking Andrew Luck with his second pick, Jonathan believed
he was locking in one of the most valuable QB’s in fantasy for the
next decade.  Oh boy. More on that later.  In the meantime, this team
still has strong depth at both running back and wide receiver in
terms of youth and upside. A stable of Barkley, Bell, and Freeman
makes Jonathan’s backfield one of the best in the league.  Believing
in “his guy,” Jonathan also traded up to take Hunter Henry.  Time
will tell whether that move was correct.

Cory's Oath

Bound Bonermen

S mart picks, savvy trades, and smack talk have defined the start

of Cory’s dynasty career in this league.  Perhaps the strongest
backfield in the league, Cory pounded runningbacks early and often
and yielded Kamara, Cook and Jones to lead his team.  Between those
picks, Cory leveraged a small part of his future into the present by
trading up for the best tight end in the league, Travis Kelce. With a
mixture of high-upside veterans and rookie wide receivers, it is
possible for Cory to compete early and often in the league. Question
marks with unproven quarterback talent may be the only thing
possibly holding him back.

Mover of Chains

With a Bama-based  team name, it remains a true testament to
Brianna’s determination to win that she only drafted three players
from her alma mater.  And they were good ones, too.  The sky is the
limit for players like Josh Jacobs and Calvin Ridley, while Damien
Harris could be an immediate-impact player for the Patriots. Buoyed
by Odell Beckham Jr, Brianna’s wide receiver depth is top-heavy and
has potential to implode with a single injury.  Quarterbacks Matt
Ryan and Drew Brees are proven commodities and should give stable
production for the next year or two.  George Kittle in the mid-third
may also prove to be a steal, as the young tight end has already
flashed the possibility that he could usurp Kelce as the TE1 in 2019.

E arly trades, late-round steals, and yelling at Mike for drafting 0

too slow has been the modus operandi for this fledgling league’s History
commissioner.  Trading away Zeke to inherit two picks on the turn,
Sean was more than happy to take Juju Smith-Schuster along with All-time
Deshaun Watson as the building blocks for what looks to be a solid
team.  If Melvin Gordon plays this year, Sean’s team could be a force 0-0
to reckon with.  Kerryon Johnson looks to be a stud, and Sean’s (.000)
second quarterback (Goff) is better than many team’s first.  Sean’s
pick of Curtis Samuel in the 11th round could make us all look silly Last year
by the year’s end.  Most importantly, Sean got his guy in Justin
Tucker in the 12th round as the second kicker off the board. 0-0

The Domestic

Q
uarterbacks and youth are the two defining traits of Ryan’s
dynasty team. Taking Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson in the
first four rounds, Ryan secured the top quarterback group in the
league.  With high-upside plays like Mixon and Hill, it was clear Ryan
intended to take value as it dropped to him.  Leaving the draft with 5
starting quarterbacks, Ryan ensured trade value for the QB-needy
league mates as the season progresses.  Lacking a sure-thing TE1 for
2019, tight end production will be volatile for 2019.  Ryan’s team this
year will likely be defined by how quickly Derrius Guice and Miles
Sanders begin producing in their offenses.  Players like Duke Johnson
could be pleasant surprises, however.  This is probably not a team
built for a championship run in 2019, however it could easily begin a
dynasty from 2020 and onward.

The People's Champs

Proven top-tier wide receivers are often the toughest thing to 0

acquire, and Vince was somehow able to draft several of these History
players. Davante Adams and Mike Evans lead a wide receiver squad
including potential studs Keenan Allen and AJ Green.  If that wasn’t All-time
devastating enough, players like James Conner and Marlon Mack
could be strong running back producers for years if all the chips fall 0-0
right.  These strong position players were drafted at a cost, however, (.000)
as Vince neglected the quarterback position until most of the usable
players were off the board.  One trade has already been made for the Last year
young (but volatile) Marcus Mariota.  Some early busts like Lamar
Miller and D’Onta Foreman could harm Vincey’s chances at an early 0-0
championship, but he still has talent to spare.  If Vince fails to
contend this year, it will not be due to a lack of talent but rather a 0th
lack of options for his superflex slot.

History let the league know what position he values most.  Picking up former
UGA backs Todd Gurley and Sony Michel, John is banking on these
All-time high-risk players to lower their volatility and produce consistently
for the season.  Gurley is still one of the top talents in the NFL,
0-0 however worries about his arthritic knees have caused concern for
(.000) future production.  John was smart about locking down Gurley’s
backup, drafting Darrell Henderson in the 10th round for what could
Last year prove to be an invaluable pick.  Old and proven quarterbacks Cam
Newton and Big Ben headline John’s roster, however he has a rookie
0-0 backup in Haskins as the third roster option.  Michael Thomas will be
a strong asset moving forward, but there are age concerns with Adam
0th Thielen.  It is possible Cooper Kupp re-assumes his WR1 role on the
Rams offense, however it is equally possible Kupp underwhelms as
Playoff he resumes action coming off an ACL injury.  With proven tight end
Appearances in Zach Ertz and a young tight end of the future in Noah Fant, John
looks to be set for years at a position that is historically difficult to
0 find good players in.  Much of John’s success in 2019 and moving
forward will depend on the chips falling correctly for high-floor

In typical Cowboy’s fan fashion, Mike was willing to sell the farm 0

for Zeke.  Fortunately he was able to get a decent deal for one of the History
best backs in the league.  Headlined by Zeke, Julio, and TY Hilton,
Mike has built a win-now team with high aspirations for 2019.  All-time
Taking Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, Mike swore off his
Longhorn allegiance and chose to draft the young Heisman winners 0-0
out of Oklahoma to lead his team to the promised land.  Conceivably (.000)
set at QB for years to come, Mike was also able to lock down Tom
Brady and Eli Manning as short-term loaners.  The retirement of Last year
Andrew Luck may have impacted Mike’s team the most, as Eric Ebron
and TY Hilton could lose significant production in 2019. The first to 0-0
take a kicker off the board, Mike has his own dynasty values and is
running off them for better or worse.  For Mike to win this season, he 0th
will need an MVP-caliber season out of Baker Mayfield combined
with real production from his tight end slot.  Oh, and let’s not forget Playoff
that Zeke will have to take the field too. Appearances

WANTED

ANDREW LUCK

WHITE, MALE, 6'4, 234LBS., BROWN EYES
LAST SEEN ON JONATHAN'S ROSTER

In a superflex dynasty startup draft, Jonathan assumed it was a steal to get Andrew Luck as his QB of the
present and future with the 18th pick in the draft. And he was correct to do so. Until the unspeakable happened.
Well into the preseason and mere weeks after the completion of the startup draft, Andrew Luck unexpectedly retired
for personal reasons. With backup quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo, it is possible Jonathan
weathers this storm with minimal impact. But a complete lack of any other starting quarterbacks means no superflex
depth for what initially looked to be a strong contender in for the 2019 championship. Time will tell if this forces
Jonathan into an early rebuild.

So any time you feel down in the coming months, just be happy you didn’t spend a second round draft pick
on Andrew Luck and it should help you feel a little better.

Our pickles don't touch.
Just like God intended.

GOOD LUCK
