FINGERPRINT RECORD AND SPARE KEY COMPARTMENT Lifestyle in Malaysia can vary from extravagant to modest, depending on the city and the activities one chooses. As a result, Malaysians looked for more comfort and ease in their lives and shifted their focus to the things that matter most to them. For a better lifestyle, many parents commit to do full time work and unable to monitor their children. Because of that, children need to be independent and managed their life at home. Sometimes children forgot to message their parents. Worse, children tend to leave house keys at home or lost it, causing them to stay outside the house until their parent returns. Thus, a fingerprint record and spare key component device is implemented. As soon as children returns from school, they only need to scan their fingerprints and notifications will reach their family via Telegram application. If a spare house key is needed, the device provides ones too. Pressing the button after scanning fingerprint will unlock the door and giving access to the spare key. This device leave parents at ease, while making sure their children’s safely at home. FERTIGATION MONITORING SYSTEM CONTROL BY LORA SX1278 VIA ESP32 The agricultural sector in Malaysia has undergone stages of transformation processes since 1957 and still expanding now. The National Agro-Food Policy 2011-2020 is one of the major transformation steps from the Malaysian Government to increase the productivity and quality of our country's food. The policy is also an initiative of the Malaysian government to promote the agricultural industry in Malaysia. Further in 2014, the National Internet of Things (IoT) Strategic Roadmap was drafted which enables the implementation of the project smart agriculture and aquaculture pilot project in collaboration with local companies with MIMOS Berhad, Ministry International Trade and Industry (MITI), as well as the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MOA). Since then, the agricultural sector has also been hybridized with the latest technology, including LoRaWAN. This project is very beneficial for industry and small-scale fertigation in Sabak Bernam. The idea behind this project is to help farmers control irrigation and fertilization costs. In addition, this project can help agricultural operators monitor the fertigation system, which includes soil temperature, humidity, soil PH, and soil fertility rate after fertilization. This project can work as an automatic monitoring system with the help of an application from a mobile phone. The specialty of this project lies in the use of LoRa SX1278 and ESP32 where ESP32 will control the sensors, supported by LoRa will send or receive signals or outputs for each line in the farm. The use of this project is seen to be able to improve soil moisture by up to 60% thus increasing harvest by 30%. MOHAMAD NOR FARMIN BIN SAMSUDIN, MUHAMMAD AFIQ BIN MOHD AZHARI, Hj. MINIATURE RACING WHEEL Miniature Racing Wheel was developed to fill in the gaps on the Racing Sim Market, no device ever before has done a compact, miniature and eco-friendly racing device. The use of recycled materials in this product goes in-line with the project’s theme of Eco-Friendliness. The problem that were faced that inspired the development of this device is due to racing simulation equipment’s sheer size, price and environmental footprint. The objective of this device is to be a smaller, more compact , cheaper and to increase the portability of racing simulation equipment. The methodology that’s used in this project was the usage of mainly ESP32, Arduino Nano, potentiometers and switches, a more detailed view and explanation could be find on the methodology segment of this poster. Furthermore, since the project’s prototype was done, I could say that the result was a success. It accomplishes the project’s objective and fulfilled the problem statement. Although the prototype does have some change to its design because of material constraint and the lack of skills to 100% follow through with the proposed design, but fret not. The prototype still does what it needs to do, some changed that were done to the prototype were the removal of the H shifter ( Found in manual cars) and the removal of the Clutch Pedal, these changes were not significant but does help with the prototype phase. A suggestion and recommendation to myself if I had to do this project all over again is to be more realistic with the project’s design, another thing that I would change is to made sure the micro-controllers can do what the project needs. In Conclusion, this project’s prototype was done successfully and fulfilled all the objectives that it needs. DIRTY DISH COLLECTING ROBOT APPLICATION IN CAFETERIA The Dirty Dish Collector Robot application addresses the manual handling of dirty plates in cafeterias, especially in large institutional cafe spaces. Inspired by the challenges faced at the Sultan Idris Shah Polytechnic Student Cafeteria, this project uses the concept of Line Following to automate the transport of dirty dishes. The cafeteria staff's manual meal collection process, labor-intensive and time-consuming, prompted the development of a prototype robot. The robot, equipped with an IR sensor and controlled via a dedicated app, autonomously follows a predetermined path, lifting and transporting dirty dishes. Weight lifting tests showed the prototype's ability to carry a load of almost 1kg, consisting of about 30 plates. To improve efficiency and load capacity, further studies on motor selection and robot design are recommended. Positive user feedback suggests a market potential for this project, emphasizing its contribution to speeding up and streamlining the cafeteria management process. IOT MONITORING SYSTEM FOR FERTIGATION This project introduces an IoT-driven system tailored for precise plant care by real-time monitoring of soil moisture, light, temperature, and humidity. Addressing issues like erratic watering due to time constraints, its primary focus is an automated fertigation system that optimizes nutrient delivery based on live environmental data. Additionally, it offers remote accessibility through a smartphone app or web platform for monitoring and control from anywhere. The system is designed to facilitate irrigation by drawing water from the tank. In case of low water levels detected by an ultrasonic sensor, the ESP32 is promptly alerted to send a notification indicating the low water tank status via a push notification. Upon receiving this notification, the user is promptly informed, allowing for timely refilling of the tank to ensure continuous availability of water for plant care. Subsequently, the water pump is activated to irrigate the plants, ensuring they receive adequate hydration for optimal growth . ESP32 transmits data (temperature, humidity, light intensity, and soil moisture) to Blynk application cloud for continual analysis and monitoring and will display it too on LCD Screen. In conclusion, this project offers an IoT-driven solution for precise plant care, leveraging real time monitoring and automated watering based on environmental cues. To enhance its effectiveness, consider integrating predictive analytics for proactive watering and exploring scalability for broader agricultural applications. Field tests validating its performance across different environments would further solidify its practical utility. HOME GOOGLE ASSISTANT The idea behind this project is to control home devices with voice. On the market there are many devices available to do that, but making our own is awesome. Also Blynk also connected with NodeMCU (ESP32). In this project, the Google assistant requires voice commands, linking to IFTTT website abbreviated as “If This Than That” which is used to create if else conditional statements. The voice commands for Google assistant have been added through IFTTT website. In this home automation, as the user gives commands to the Google assistant, Home appliances like Bulb, Fan and Motor etc., can be controlled accordingly. The commands given through the Google assistant are decoded and then sent to the relay, the relays connected to it. The device connected to the respective relay can be turned On or OFF as per the users request to the Google Assistant and the communication between ESP32 and the application is established via Wi-Fi (Internet). THE SMART PIGEON HOLE BOX Pigeon hole is also known as a message box or internal mail system and commonly used for communication in organizations, workplace, and education institutes. An electronic pigeonhole was created to solve the problem of polytechnic lectures who are unable to check student paperwork on time. Pigeonholes function similarly to letter boxes when letters or memos addressed to a certain person are respective letter boxes. The main weakness of the traditional polytechnic pigeon hole system is that staff need to check their respective pigeon hole every day and it’s not safe because sometimes assignments or papers will be missing. Yet, it is impossible to examine the pigeon hole every day owing to normal obligations or unforeseen events. The objective of this project is to create an electronic pigeonhole for use in offices that utilizes infrared sensors to automatically sense assignments. Smart Pigeon Hole Box with Notification System, an improvement over the conventional pigeon hole that sends notifications to users via Telegram. The user will receive a notification over Telegram when any documents are placed in the pigeon hole informing them that it has received some documents. For future suggestion and recommendation the IR sensor can be replaced using ultrasonic sensor since ultrasonic sensor can detect a greater range of distance compared to IR sensor and it is more sensitive to obstacles. Lastly,a camera can be placed in the box to see and identify something that not assignment paper and it’s also will be safer INBANAYAGI A/P RAVICHANDRAN, NEELAH A/P GUMARASAMY, , MAIZATUL ZALELA BINTI MOHAMED SAIL Keywords: Pigeon hole, letter boxes, Notification System JABATAN KEJURUTERAAN ELEKTRIK

AUTOMATIC AND REGULATING DOG TRAP WITH MONITORING SYSTEM The purpose of the project automatic and regulating dog trap with a monitoring system is to reduce manpower and dogs in institutions. This project works automatically, but it may also be controlled by the user. It works like this: if a dog approaches the project, the first sensor from the front checks to see if there is any subject nearby. Once the dogs are spotted, the door's motor waits for a notification from another sensor in the project's midsection. When the middle sensor detects them, the trap doors close and trap them. The idea behind this project is to use a motion sensor and load cell to automatically catch the dog. In this example, if the dog enters the cage, the motion sensor detects or load weight detects and send live video to the user's smartphone; after the user receives notification, the trap closes automatically, and the dog is caught. This is due to the sensor, which detects the dog and instructs the motor to close the trap door. In addition, in this project, we will use dog food to entice the dog to become confined. This project was created to limit the number of dogs in polytechnic and to prevent students from being disturbed by dogs. If the motion sensor does not detect the person, the person can control the trap. THE UTILIZATION OF FERTILIZER FROM A MIXTURE OF COCONUT COIR, BANANA PEEL AND TEA RESIDUE The environmental impact of chemical fertilizers consists of greenhouse gas emissions during production and pollution due to environmental runoff during use, and these impacts need to be reduced. Organic waste composting refers to the degradation or decomposition of organic matter in solid waste by microorganisms into nutrient-rich humus. Furthermore, chemical fertilizers can have negative effects on the soil but organic fertilizers can improve the organic matter in the soil. In this project, the material for the organic compost is produced by using banana peel, coconut coir and tea residue. This study aims to investigate the feasibility of mixing organic waste (coconut coir, banana peels and tea leave residual) as organic fertilizer for Devil’s Ivy plant growth. This study specifically aims to understand the implications of varying proportions of organic waste such as banana peel, tea powder, and coconut coir towards the growth of Devil’s Ivy. Data on the height of the trunk, leaf width, and number of leaves are measured. Data is taken once a week by measuring using thread. By examining these differences in proportions, the study seeks to identify the best combination of waste organic that enhances plant growth. Based on the result obtained, the presence of potassium compared to another additive in the soil we assume that Devil’s Ivy plant more grow with potassium as additive in soil than other additive.
