จดหมายแนะนำตัว

Dear Colleagues,

There are millions of disabled people in
Thailand and South East Asia who have to
face physical and social barriers everyday,
preventing them from making the most of
their lives.

Of the millions, those getting the last help
are children; but by understanding and
learning the treatment process we can
change this, and that is the goal of Zy
Movement Foundation. WE want to
improve the quality of lives for children
with congenital limb deficiency and
cerebral palsy, adisabliity currently
present in 450,000 children in Thailand.

Since Zy Movement Foundation became official in 2010, we have partnered with
leading global institutes and have launched several campaigns promoting in
thoughts and deed equality for disabled children

In order to better understand what our foundation strives to achieve, we have
prepared for you this comprehensive portfolio filled with detailed information on
why Zy Movement Foundation was founded, our objectives, approaches, milestones
and how you may participate.

With your help and generosity, we can make an impact by raising awareness,
bridging the knowledge gap and bettering the publics' understanding of locomotive
disabilities thereby creating a more barrier-free society.

ONCE UPON A TIME

"My name is Walter Lee" and I have been living จุดเริ่มต้น
in Thailand since 1989. I am the Chief Executive
Officer of Ventertec Marketing Company
Limited (Thailand). I am married to Nok. We have
3 great children V, Mij and Zy. Little Zy is my
third child (I call him my littler Professor) and is
and absolute ball of fun.

"ผมชื่อวอลเตอร์ ลีครับ" และผมอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยตั้งแต่ปี
พ.ศ. 2532 ผมเป็นซีอีโอของบริษัทเวนเจอร์เทค มาร์เก็ตติ้ง
(ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ผมได้แต่งงานกับนก และมีลูกที่น่ารักด้วย
กัน 3 คน คือ วี มิจ และ ซาย ซึ่งน้องซายเป็นลูกคนที่ 3 ของ
ผมครับ (ผมขอเรียกเขาว่า "ศาสตราจารย์ตัวน้อยของผม") ผู้ที่
ทำให้ชีวิตของผมทั้งสนุกและวุ่นทีเดียวเลยครับ

"Zy" was born with one complete left

arm, half a right arm, no right leg, a
malformed left leg with three toes and
dislocated hip joints, He is otherwise just
like any other baby.

"น้องซาย"เกิดมาพร้อมกับแขนข้างซ้ายที่สมบูรณ์เพียงข้างเดียว ส่วนแขนขวามี

เพียงครึ่งแขนเท่านั้น เขาไม่มีขาขวา แต่มีขาข้างซ้ายซึ่งผิดรูปออกไปพร้อมกับเท้าซ้าย
ที่มีนิ้วเพียง 3 นิ้ว และมีปัญหาข้อต่อสะโพกหลุดออกจาเบ้า นอกจากนั้น เขาน่ารัก
เหมือนเด็กทารกทั่วไป

Over the year, we have been to numerous
hospitals in this part of the world, sought
assistance from different groups and
associations, e-consulted from one continent to
another, talking to pediatric orthopedic
specialists about little Zy's case and his chance
of standing and walking and have just time
again, be told to be patient, and to wait and
see! I knew Zy will be able to get around fine in
a wheel chair but that just wasn't enough for
me! I want him to have an option to stand and
walk if he so chooses to. This desire of mine
had led me to make the following discovery.....

There is pediatric orthopedic specialist, Professor Carstens at the University of
Heidelberg to whom I had been introduced to by this good samaritan couple and had
visited in October 2007 in Germany. Proof. Carstens and his team of prosthetic
specialists tell me they are 80% confident they can make little Zy stand and walk. They
showed me their work and gave me a prognosis of what, when and how they will be
treating little Zy in the new few years, I was overwhelmed and hopeful again. That is
exactly what I have been looking for the past 12 months.

The thought of the millions of disabled children in Thailand and South East Asia
came into my mind. If I should be spending all these resources to treat one child, why
couldn't the treatment process to properly documented and disseminated so that
potentially millions of disables children might benefit from it? So if one cannot afford to
use the best of materials like what they use in Germany, maybe they can use plywood
ro bamboo here. The important thing is understanding and learning the fundamentals
behind the treatment process. That was the seed of thought that had eventually given
birth to Zy Movement Foundation.

ในที่สุด เราก็ได้ค้นพบโรงพบาลที่แพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านดารรักษากระดูกและกล้ามเนื้อเด็กที่เก่าแก่ที่สุด

ในโลก ในประเทศเยอรมนี โรงพยาบาลไฮเดนแบร์ก ซึ่งโรงพยาบาลแห่งนี้ก่อตั้งขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1386 มี

ประสบการณ์ในการรักษาผู้พิการมากมาย มาตั้งแต่สมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 1 และ ครั้งที่ 2 ด้วยความ

เชี่ยวชาญและเทคนิคการรักษาของโรงพยาบาลแห่งนี้ ได้ทำให้น้องซายสามารถลุกขึ้นเดินได้อย่างน่า

อัศจรรย์ นับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นทำให้เรามองไกลออกไปว่า หากจะต้องทุ่มเททรัพยากรทั้งหมด ทั้งเรื่องของเวลา

บุคลากร และค่าเดินทาง เพื่อรักษาเด็กเพียงหนึ่งคนเท่านั้น ทำไมเราไม่พบาบามค้นหาแนวทางบางอบ่าง

เพื่อขยายผลให้การรักษานี้เป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้พิการนับแสนในประเทศไทย และนับล้านในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียง

ใต้ในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้คือแรงบันดาลใจในการก่อตั้งมูลนิธิซาย มูฟเม้นท์

ของเด็กพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว และครอบครัว

OBJECTIVE

วัตถุประสงค์

1 To facilitate and empower children with movment disabilities (primarily from
Congenital Limb Deficiency and Cerebral Palsy) to have positive thinking,
freedom of movement and hence towards independent living in society.

เพื่อให้ความช่วยเหลือเด็กพิการทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหว ให้
สามารถช่วยเหลือตนเองได้ และสนับสนุนให้สามารถดำรง
ชีวิตอยู่ในสังคมได้อย่างอิสระ

To rehabilitate and empower families and caretakers of

children with movement disabilities with the correct

understanding of the physical and psychological

management of themselves and these children.

เพื่อฟื้นฟู สภาพจิตใจ และเสริมสร้างศักยภาพ 2
ของผู้ปกครองที่มีบุตร หลาน พิการแต่กำเนิด
ให้สามารถเรียนรู้ เข้าใจการดูแล และฟื้นฟู เด็ก

พิการ ทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหว

3 To support and facilitate research and know-how exchange between
medical health givers and institutions domestically & internationally in the
field of Pediatric Orthoepic, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Physiotherapy and
other related fields of treatments in these cases.

เพื่อฟื้นฟู สภาพจิตใจ และเสริมสร้างศักยภาพ
ของผู้ปกครองที่มีบุตร หลาน พิการแต่กำเนิด
ให้สามารถเรียนรู้ เข้าใจการดูแล และฟื้นฟู เด็ก
พิการ ทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหว

To heighten awareness and understanding of society on the issues of 4
child disability and promote the correct attitude towards people with
disabilities in Thailand and ASEAN.

HRH Princess Sirindhorn's visit to Heidelberg University Hospital,
Germany was catalystic in the future medical coopoeration in
the areas of pediatric orthopedics between the two countries.


สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารีเสด็จพระราชดำเนิน

เยือน โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัย ไฮเดนเบร์ก ประเทศเยอรมนี นำมาซึ่ง
ความร่วมือระดับประเทศในเวลาต่อมา

Facilitated the first group of medical practitioners
from Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Centre
(SNMRC) to visit the Orthopaedic University Clinic,
Heidelberg for a one-month study.

ศูนย์สิริธรเพื่อการฟื้นฟู สมรรถภาพทางการแพทย์แห่งชาติ

Collaborated with Department of Medical Services, Thailand and
doctors from University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany to organize the
first medical smeinar on "Treatment options on Congenital limb
deficiency and cerebral pasly" between Thailand and Germany.
ทำงานร่วมกับกรมการแพทย์, ประเทศไทยและแพทย์จากโรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยไฮเดนแบร์ก
ประเทศเยอรมนีในการสัมนาเรื่อง "ความพิการทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหว และความพิการทาง
สมอง" ระหว่างประเทศไทยและประเทศเยอมรนี
Initial idea of a formal and ongoing medical collaboration was tabled
between University Hospital Heidelberg, Department of Medical Services &
Zy Movement Foundation.

The committee for Developing the Quality of Life for Children with Disabilities & their
families", a joint collaboration between goverment and private sectors was formed by

Department of Medical Services, Thailand with ZMF as one of the founding comittee

One Month Fellowship for Thai Doctor & Therapists in Germany.

ประสานงานในการส่งทีมแพทย์และนักกายภาพบำบัดไทยเพื่อเข้าร่วมศึกษาที่เยอรมนี เป็นระยะเวลา 1 เดือน

Co-operated and held a seminar with Dr.Frank Braatz, Orthopaedic Surgeon from
Heidenberg University Hospital, Germany to demonstrate the surgical process to
the Thai doctors at Queen Sirikit National Institude of Child Health in Thailand

ได้มีการร่วมมือและจัดสัมมนากับดอกเตอร์ แฟรงค์ บาร์ทซ์ ศัลยแพทย์ด้านกระดูก จากโรงพยาบาล

The Training of The First batch of Vojta Therapists
(2 year program) in Thailand with Sirindhorn National Medical
Rehabilitation Centre (SNMRC) officially took off.

recipient of "The Pin of Examplary Family Award" by the ministry of
Social Development and Human Security, from HRH srisasm, Royal
Consort to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

TV Malaysia broadcasted a 1 hour documentary about ZMF on prime time TV
as part of their social awareness program which was viewed by an estimated

4 million viewers across 4 nations.

สถานีโทรทัศน์ช่อง 3 ประเทศมาเลเซียได้จัดทำและเผยแพร่สารคดีเกี่ยวกับมูลนิธิซาย มูฟเม้นท์เพื่อ
สร้างความตระหนักแก่สังคมซึ่งรายการนี้มีผู้รับชมประมาณ 4 ล้านคนจาก 4 ประเทศด้วยกัน

Launch the "Climb to Change a Life" Project by inviting the disabled children
and their families to have the experience of climbling Phu Kradueng, Loei

province with the help of volunteers and doctors from Queen Sirikit National
Institute of Child Health.

จัดงาน "ปีนเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิต" โดยได้มีการเชิญครอบครัวของเด็กพิการรวมไปถึงทีมอาสา

Universal Food Public Company Limited organized a Marathon event named "Fit Fun
Run" at Lumpini Park to help rise fund and awareness for Zy Movement Foundation.

ทางบริษัท อาหารสากล จำกัด มหาชน (UFC) ได้จัดงานวิ่งมาราธอน "Fit Fun Run" ขึ้นที่
