In March 2016, when I came to Dress for Success
NNJ, I was broken, hopeless and unemployed. I
tried everything to get a job and it wasn’t working.
I graduated with a master’s degree, and had many
years of administrative and teaching experience
but nothing seemed to work in the job market.

I enrolled in the Steps2Success Program and it impacted my life tremendously.
It was great to be able to connect with a mentor that would guide me on how
to approach job interview. Steps2Success helped me understand my strength
and abilities, which was used as a platform for my mock interview. During
this event, it created a networking opportunity, which landed my first job in
corporate America at ADP as a Human Capital Management Consultant.

It is important for me to give back to the organization. As a volunteer, I
support and encourage the second cohort of Steps2Success and assist with
translating in Spanish for the various mobiles presentations done by Dress for
Success.

During the spring of 2017, I was a senior at the
College of St. Elizabeth when I learned about
the Steps2Success Program powered by ADP
through a monthly newsletter from Ashlee
Andersen. At the moment, I was currently in the
job market; I had already applied to a job, got
an interview and was not offered the position.
Thus, when I received the email from Ashlee, I
quickly seized the opportunity!

When I entered the Steps2Success Program, I was discouraged, nervous,
uncertain, and overwhelmed. Overtime, I noticed a change in my mindset
and behavior; I became confident, committed, empowered, bold and satisfied
with the positive changes that were occurring in my life.

Dress for Success of Northern New Jersey opened a door that I could not open
for myself and I am forever grateful! I am also very happy to say that I now
work as a Medical Scribe at an excellent medical center in NJ. I give a huge
“THANK YOU” to Dress for Success, for its love, support and encouragement.
I can never repay you, but I can do the same for others!
