Q: COULD YOU PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH SOME BACKGROUND OF YOUR PERSONAL LIFE & CAREER? A: I am happily married to Khun Rapeephan Dabbaransi. We have two sons, and four grandsons. Our family of 10, regularly meet and share precious moments together. After having graduated from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, I returned to Thailand in 1969. After having worked at the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok for six years, I went on to become Secretary to the Foreign Minister of Thailand. It was my first step into the political arena of Thailand. After that entry 9 times directly elected by the people of Pimai, Nakorn Rajchasima, to represent them in the Thai Parliament and 6 times as the Minister to 6 Ministries : Industry, Energy, Health, Science and Technology, Tourism, and Sports for 3 times and Deputy Prime Minister. Former President of the American University Alumni Association (AUAA); former Chairman of Suan Sunantha University and current President of the Thailand - China Friendship Association Q: BEING THE PRESIDENT OF THE THAILAND - CHINA FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (TCFA), CAN YOU GIVE US SOME IDEAS AND OR PROSPECTIVE OF THE ASSOCIATION? HOW AND WHEN IT WAS ESTABLISHED. A: The suggestion to establish the Thailand - China Friendship Association (TCFA) in Bangkok, was initially made by Premiere Zhou Enlai, to General Chatichai Choonhavan, then the Foreign Minister of Thailand, during their conversation in Beijing in 1975. The TCFA was officially registered in Bangkok in 1976. As the Chinese Thai Friendship Association (CTFA) was also established in Beijing around the same time. TCFA has been the most influential instrument in bringing the People to People friendship Channel, between Thailand and China, to the highest level of cohesiveness today, in the pillars of Business, Education, Culture, and Sports. Q: WHAT IS THE EXPECTED BUSINESS TURNOFF OF THE ASSOCIATIO SHORT AND LONG TERM? A: TCFA connects and promotes, the traffic in the People to People corridor between Thailand and China. We do not actually conduct the business operation ourselves. However, in the Friendship channel, TCFA has been most active, especially in the ASEAN - CHINA geography. The 10 + 1 Conferences that have been held annually, always confirm the presence of TCFA in every one of them. Q: DESCRIBE THE RESPONSIBILITIES THAT YOU OVERSEE. A: My responsibility as the President of TCFA, is to assure a close friendship work with the CTFA and other People's Friendship Associations from China visiting Thailand. For Business, we have repeatedly connected countless Chinese companies to the Thai counterparts over the past 48 years. For Education, TCFA and Hanban of China, had initiated the Chinese language teaching in Thailand over 18 years ago. For Sports, TCFA has also regularly organized Friendship sports events in both Thailand and China. TCFA has also co-organized quite a few Cultural Exchange Programs between the two countries in the past 48 years. MEET YOUR MEMBER Q : WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS OBJECTIVES WITH THE ASSOCIATION IN NEXT TWO YEARS? A: The TCFA main objective is to promote, not to conduct, the business deals ourselves. We are still constantly in correspondences with many People - to - People Associations in China, with the ultimate aim to bring the people of Thailand closer to the People of China and the outside world. Q: YOUR JOB SOUNDS VERY DEMANDING. WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR LEISURE TIME? A: In my leisure time, top of the list would be to spend as much time with my family members as possible. Aside from that, badminton will dominate the rest of my free time. However, I still enjoy moments with my friends in various musical events. Q: WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CLUB? HOW DO YOU WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR CLUB? DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS? A: As for The Bangkok Club, I can say without any hesitation that, I must be the one of the most active members who come to the Club almost every day. To have lunch, rotating in the Chinese, Japanese, and Western rooms almost daily in our Club can be confirmed by the staff. I also use the meeting rooms on the 29th floor almost every day. To go to the 30th floor for health and physical therapies regularly, can also be confirmed by the staff on that floor. I wish to say that the services extended by The Bangkok Club's staff on every floor, have been most satisfactory. Believe me. If I am not happy with the services rendered by any of the staff, you will certainly hear from me. I am very happy to be a member of The Bangkok Club. Sincerely speaking!!! KHUN KORN DABBARANSI FORMER DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER PRESIDENT OF THE THAILAND - CHINA FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION 4 THE BANGKOK CLUB August - September 2023

~ Come to soothe your body and calm your mind at your Club Spa ~ Which Massage Styles Are Best? You may have noticed that different massage styles are popular at different times. And you may have wondered whether each was just part of a passing fad or the latest, greatest massage technique? Even more important is how can you tell whether the latest style will actually help you? Styles used in massage therapy range from long, smooth strokes to short, percussive strokes. Some massage therapists use oils and lotions; others do not. A massage can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours. Before you can decide which massage style is best for you, you need to ask yourself some questions. Do you simply want a massage for relaxation and stress control? Or do you need symptom relief or help with a certain health condition? Before booking a massage, let the therapist know what you're looking for and ask which style the therapist uses. Many use more than one style. Or the therapist may customize your massage, depending on your age, condition, or any special needs or goals you have. Our skin’s needs changes over the time depending on the season. It is in best interest to suit your skin by taking necessary steps to best identify its needs in accordance with the seasonal change. Facial rejuvenation is also the most essential for the skin to function supremely thereby making you look your best!
