This place is one of Kota Kinabalu’s best kept secrets.
If you’re a true KK-ian you would know that Bukit Padang hiking
trail is one of the pioneers of the hill where people go to hike.
Whenever someone says they signed up to go Mount Kinabalu
and needs to train, Bukit Padang is the place suggested.

Taman Tun Fuad Stephens
A recreational park at Bukit Padang, an urban township about
5km east of KK City Center most easily accessible by Jalan
Kolam through Lintas Highway.
Named after Sabah's first chief minister who died in a plane
crash, the park is a favourite exercise ground of locals in
morning and evening.
Running / jogging or even trekking around the lake 2.2km
with a lot of greens and beautiful surrounding area.. The
track has many ups and downs which give you more
challenge to your run. The lake is full of fish and tortoises
too.
.At least five trails that lead you to the top of the hill
from the bottom. Distance to the top is around 1 km
depending on which trail you are taking
You may see people doing different activities in these
trails such as, walking with a pet dog, mountain biking,
trekking, photo taking etc.
Hospital Mesra Bukit Padang
Hospital Mesra Bukit Padang is a psychiatric hospital in Sabah.
It was completed in May 1971 and is located 6 km from the city
of Kota Kinabalu.
The Hospital is a 302 beds hospital providing mental specialist
services for outpatient and inpatient.

Temple Sri Pashupatinath Alayam
Discover the emblem of Hindu faith and religion with Sri
Pasupathinath Alayam Hindu Temple, one of two Hindu temples
in Kota Kinabalu. Located in Bukit Padang, the temple looks
beautiful with its carvings and structure.
Since Malaysia is populated by a number of Hindus, this temple
holds significance and is thus one of the tourist attractions in
Kota Kinabalu. The temple is surrounded by water and has a big
pond in its compound replete with lotus flowers.
Sabah Golf & Country Club
Sabah Golf and Country Club is Sabah’s oldest 18 hole golf
course and is popular with keen golfers throughout Sabah.
This course first opened in 1976 and during the last 37 years its
membership has grown significantly. Likewise, it is a popular
course for those visiting Sabah.
Located in Kota Kinabalu, the course offers beautiful views
towards the majestic Mount Kinabalu. With its wide and
undulating fairways, fast greens and water features it provides a
challenging test to all playing abilities.
Kinabalu International School
Kinabalu International School (KIS) is the preeminent international
school in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with a well-deserved reputation for

SMK St Francis Convent
An all-girls secondary school and one of the oldest schools in
Kota Kinabalu.
The students in this school consist of different kinds of races
regardless of religion despite being a mission school. The school
building was once and formerly located in Jalan Kebajikan in
the neighbourhood of Karamunsing next to the Sacred Heart
Cathedral.
As of 2019, the school is being administered in the new school
building in Bukit Padang.
SMKA Kota Kinabalu
An Islamic school established on 1 December 1990.
Establishment of this school was intended by the Sabah State
Education Director in order to increase the number of Islamic
schools in Sabah.
The school campus was originally the Sabah Campus of
National University of Malaysia established in 1979 and
dissolved years later.
