GAMES I DATES I SPECIAL EVENTS 4

RULES AND POLICIES We will observe USGA Rules of Golf. League Rules: The maximum number of strokes per hole is 8. Local Rule: Any time you hit your tee shot into the water (#3 and #4) you may proceed to the other side of the green to the “drop-area.” That will be your 3rd shot. Play Ready-Golf: “Ready-golf” means that whoever is ready to address the ball should play. Rather than defer to another player, we need to keep up the “pace of play” and respectfully play in a timely manner. Executive League Specials: We are here to learn the rules and etiquette of golf. Be sure to share and enjoy the game.Be positive and sensitive to all players! Blind Draws are not paid. Member Directory: The Member Directory provided in this booklet is for your convenience. Please do not use this list for any purpose other than that which relates to our Executive Golf League. Please do not use it for any kind of solicitation. 5

ADDITIONAL RULES & GOLF ETIQUETTE PACE OF PLAY • Plan your shot while walking to your ball or while others are playing. • Line up your putt when others are planning and be ready to play when it is your turn. • Walk briskly between shots. • Take several clubs with you from your cart so you won’t have to walk back to get a club. ETIQUETTE • Always play without delay and keep up with group in front. • Don’t move, talk, or stand close to a player making a stroke. • Don’t step on another player’s line of putt. • Don’t play until the group in front is out of the way. • Shout a warning if your ball may hit someone. • Repair divot holes and ball marks. Rake footprints in bunkers. • Replace flagstick carefully in an upright position. • If your ball may be lost outside a water hazard or out of bounds, you may hit a provisional ball before you go forward to look for the original, but you must announce your intention to do so. PLAYING THE BALL • Play the ball as it lies. Don’t touch it unless a Rule permits. • Play the course as you find it. Don’t improve your lie by moving, bending, or breaking anything fixed or growing. Don’t press anything down. • If your ball is in a bunker or water hazard, don’t touch the ground in either type of hazard or the water in the water hazard with your hand or club before the downswing. • Strike the ball with the club head. Don’t push or scrape it. If your club strikes the ball more than once in a single stroke, count the stroke and add a penalty stroke. PUTTING GREEN • Don’t touch the line of your putt unless a rule permits. • You may repair ball marks and old hole plugs but not any other damage. • You may lift, and if desired clean, your ball on the putting green. Always replace on exact spot. 6

7 LUCK OF THE IRISH (Team) Each player plays her own ball for the 9 holes. The Pro Shop will select names from a hat, and the 3 or 4 names chosen will make up the team. The scores from each player are now added together for the ‘Lucky’ team score. The winner is the team with the lowest combined score. GAME DESCRIPTIONS SCRAMBLE (Team) players will hit from the ball chosen. OH HAPPY DAY (Individual) Revert your 3 worst holes to par. ONE BEST BALL (Team) Your team will count the best ball score per hole. Keep your own gross score. BLIND 5 (Individual) All 9 holes are played but only 5 holes are counted. The secret 5 holes that are counted are selected by the Pro Shop. EXECUTIVE CUP (Team) Everyone is divided into two teams, Red or Blue. Teams with lowest score wins. Dress in your team color. ECLECTIC TOURNAMENT (Individual) (Two Day) This will be a two-week tournament. The first week the player will record her gross score per hole. The second week the player will record her gross score trying to improve her score per hole. You must turn in your scorecard to the scorekeeper the first week and pick it up for play the following week. If you cannot play both weeks, you will use the one-week score that you can play. LOW PUTTS (Individual) Keep track of all strokes made on the putting greens. The lowest of the day wins. If, after you have 8 strokes, place your ball on the green the furthest point from the hole and count your putts from that point. We will not know which hole until play has been completed. NTS (Team) 2 Best Gross Scores on the holes beginning with “N” “T” & “S”. PINK BALL (Team) Each group will be given a pink ball to play with for the day. The group will decide on a rotation of play, and each team member will take turns playing the pink ball. The player’s score playing the pink ball on each hole will be used for the team score. The group that returns the pink ball with the lowest score wins.

9 BEST 7 OF 9 (Individual) At the end of the round, add the lowest 7 of the 9 holes. Be sure and keep the raw score of all nine holes for your Ringer Card. SHAMBLE (Team) All players hit o the tee box. The team members select the best drive. From that spot, all players continue to play out the hole. Score 2 best balls for the team.
