The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the
Medinah Park District by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and
Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for fiscal year ending
December 31, 2019. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area
of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant
accomplishment by a government agency and its management team. This is the 2nd consecutive
year the Medinah Park District has received this distinguished award.
Playground Equipment Grant
The Medinah Park District received a Game Time Cares Playground Grant Funding Award
totaling $24,233.00 in November of 2020 toward the purchase of playground equipment from
Game Time Playground Equipment, a Playcore Company. The Grant Award was administered
by Cunningham Recreation located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The grant award provided the
District with funds to aid in offsetting a total equipment purchase cost of $52,444.00. The Park
District is currently working with their architectural firm to create design plans options and park
site locations for installation of this equipment. An estimated timeline has construction beginning
in late summer/early fall of 2021.

Medinah Co-ed Youth Spring Soccer League (FW) C
Ages 4-14
Get ready for Spring 2021 youth soccer! The Medinah Co-ed Youth Spring Soccer League participates in the Mid-Suburban Soccer
League that include the following park districts: Addison, Bensenville, Glendale Heights, Itasca, Roselle, Wood Dale and Villa Park.
This league promotes an atmosphere of enjoyment, teamwork, and good sportsmanship while learning and improving upon fundamental
skills. Volunteers coach and instruct each team. Teams will be formed immediately following the registration deadline and volunteer
coaches will be confirmed and contacted. An in-house program will be adapted in case teams can’t travel due to state guidelines.
Registration
Every effort will be made to place registrants on a team; however, once a team has filled, registrants will be placed on a “wait list”
in an effort to create another team. In the event we have enough “wait list” participants, kids will be divided up to create an even
number of boys and girls on each team. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that your child will play on a requested team.
Participants will be informed of team placement by their coach.
Registration Deadline: Friday, April 2, 2021
Practices and Games
Practices are held once or twice per week with practice days and times set at the discretion of the coach. Games will be played on
Saturday’s (7 games). NO games Memorial Day weekend. Time and location of games will be determined by league schedules.
Parents must be able to transport their child to and from practices and games. Dates and times are subject to change based on state
guidelines.
Uniforms
All players must wear a Medinah Park District uniform. If you are new to the program you must order a new jersey at the time of
registration. Please note on your registration form the size of jersey you would like to order (YS, YM, YL, AS, AM, AL). Black shorts
and socks are required and can be purchased on your own. All participants are required to wear shin guards underneath their socks
at all practices and games.
Coaches
The Medinah Park District relies on volunteer coaches to help run this program. Without volunteers, we would be unable to offer such
a popular program. All coaches will be provided with certification and educational materials for the purpose of safety and improved
skill development for players. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate your interest on your child’s registration form. Mandatory
