Summarize
Chapters 1-8

In chapters 1-8 of Tuck Everlasting, it describes how Winnie Foster meets the Tucks.
Winnie lives in an overprotective house in the village of Treegap with her parents and
grandmother.Their house is on the edge of the woods they own but never go
into.The Tucks are getting excited to see their sons whom they have not seen in ten
years. Mae is heading off to meet them, but they say that she has to be careful not to
be seen. She does not look in the mirror before she goes because it says she has
looked the same for the past 87 years. May takes along her music box as she goes
off to meet her sons.Winnie has a conversation with a toad. She talks about how
hard her life is and she decides to run away.That night Winnie heads out to her yard
and meets a stranger walking by who asks her about the woods and the people she
knows in the area. He tells her that he is looking for a family. Winnie’s grandmother
comes out to tell Winnie to go inside. Just then some music is heard in the woods.
The grandmother says it is the elf music she hasn’t heard in years. Winnie thinks it
sounds like a music box and the stranger is very interested in it.When Winnie is
running away she meets a boy named Jessie. Who was drinking water from a
spring.Then they kidnapped her and took her with them they said the will take
her.back home tomorrow then Mae tuck Jessie and miles mom gave winnie her
music box and told her that the music wasn't elves it was her music box.The tucks
take Winnie to there house and on there way there the man in the yellow suit
followed them but they didn't know.

Chapters 9-17

They got to the tucks house and they were exploring it and miles and jesse were
screaming of excitement.There super is very different than winnies at home you
didn't have to be polite but at winnies you have to be very polite. Winnie compared
her house to the tucks house Tuck teaches winnie about life and how they aren't on
the wheel of life and they want to find out how to get back on because they have
looked the same for a really long time and nothing has changed.The stranger took
the tucks horse Jesse talks to winnies about waiting until she 17 drink from the
spring so she can marie him.The stranger goes to the fosters and tells her parents
that he will give them winnie if they give him the wood.The stranger goes to the
constable and tells him about winnie The stranger takes the constable to the tucks to
find winnie the stranger dishes the constable. Miles took winnie out on the boat to
catch fish and then started talking about his children.

Chapters 18-25

In chapters 18-25 of Tuck Everlasting it describes how the tucks
and winnies adventure has gone. Winnie was eating breakfast
at the tucks and somebody knocks on the door nobody has ever
knocked on the tucks door so they fight over who will answer
tuck answers it was the stranger. The stranger tried to take
winnie home winnie refused she would rather stay with the
tucks. So many shot the stranger the constable watch he said
he has to take Mae to jail. The constable takes winnie home
and mae to jail. Winnie gets home and winnie's parents don't
care when winnies goes outside her parents were way less
overprotective. When winnie was outside jesse stopped by and
gave winnie a bottle of water from the spring so that when she
is 17 she can drink and marry jesse. Jesse and winnie came up
with a escape plan to Make out of jail. Milse is a carpenter so
they are going to take out the window and get mae out and
winnie gets in and puts on maes blanket. It was time to get mae
out. There plan worked but winnie didn't get in they had enough
time to get out. Winnie poured the water on the toad so now
winnie doesn't have any water to drink when she seventeen.

very brave and excited.

escape.

parents that if they don’t give him what he Winnie sees a dog wanting

fountain water on him.
Winnie sneaks off into the forest and
discovers a boy drinking from a small
stream. Then his family kidnaps her.

Winnie’s family controls her. They won’t let her try
anything risky to make a difference in the world like she
wants to.
