In modern western culture, the cake
is usually on display and served to
guests at the reception.Traditionally,
wedding cakes were made to bring
good luck to all guests and the
couple. Modernly, however, they are
more of a centerpiece to the wedding
and are not always even served to the
guests. For many couples, a photo of
the newlyweds cutting the wedding
cake or feeding it to each other finds
its way into the wedding album. It is
seen as an important symbol - the
first thing the husband and wife
do together. This custom is an act
celebrating the couple’s union, as
well as their affection for each other.
The groom feeds his bride first to
