What’s Inside >>> ARGO Celebrates 15 Years!
✓ ARGO 15th Anniversary Celebrating 15 Years of ARGO Excellence
✓ 2018 Maryland AGC
We are proud to announce that Sunday, 16 June 2019 was ARGO’s 15th
Safety Excellence Award anniversary.
✓ Employee Referral and Incentive
As Founders, Jeff Johnson and Mark Powell were deciding on a company name,
Program they both knew it had to be something nautical as well as begin with the letter
✓ IEC Chesapeake Electrical “A”. They decided on ARGO, which was derived from Greek Mythology and the
story of Jason and the Argonauts. The Argonauts sailed to new lands in search of
Apprenticeship new opportunities, on a ship named the ARGO. The story of discovery, bravery
✓ New ARGO Office Locations and the search for successful and fruitful opportunity seemed to fit with the
✓ Employee Spotlight mission and values of ARGO Systems.
✓ New Hires
In the beginning, the business emphasis was on the support of the Department of
Defense and other Federal Agencies. Many of our projects supported mission
critical activities, from which efforts the “Support the Mission” slogan was
created. ARGO continues this theme today with success of our Federal, Utility
and Commercial projects. We should continually remind ourselves of the
immense impact our projects have made in service to our clients.
We have executed hundreds of diverse projects with a multitude of clients. One
of our first contracts was the construction and outfitting of a Guinness certified
Irish Pub in Naples, Italy. Since then, we have constructed an Embassy for the
Marine Security Group; provided CM/Cx services on countless VA medical
centers; upgraded facilities for the National Security Agency; enhanced electrical
capabilities at Navy communication sites; conducted environmental assessments
for the EPA and FAA; and constructed Oyster beds in the Chesapeake Bay
among many other successful and impactful projects.
ARGO has been fortunate to have sustained growth over the years. And there has
been one constant, continuous change and improvement. We have had significant
expansion with our Utility infrastructure business. Critical substation upgrades
and miles of duct bank have been placed to secure our electric infrastructure. The
ARGO Electric Group was established and has produced tremendous growth
with offices in Delaware, Virginia, Florida and Maryland prefabrication facility.
None of this would have been possible without the individuals on our team. Our
greatest benefit has been to work with and become friends with so many
wonderful people. YOU have made the difference for ARGO and are the true
reason for the success our Team has experienced and we are truly grateful.
