The Many Faces of Hope…

Today is a very special day as Chairman of
the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation, I
have the opportunity to reHlect and share
with you the importance that the Anthony
R . A b r a h a m Fo u n d a t i o n p u t s o n
supporting those institutions that
embrace our mission. Teach A CHILD, is a
non-proHit organization that provides
Hinancial support to children across
Lebanon to help them enroll in public
schools, regardless of their gender,
religion, location or performance. The aim
of Teacher Child, is to fund all the children
of families in need of paying for education.

We are so proud to have the opportunity to facilitate a special visit by
legendary International Pop Artist Romero Britto who visited a school supported by
TEACH A CHILD. Zeina El Khalil, President and a co-founder of Teach a Child had

made the arrangements for us to spend the morning with over 50 children who had

an opportunity to see a video of Romero’s life and then
were treated to the ultimate historic experience,
painting with Romero.

Since becoming a mother, Zeina became passionate
and active in the Hield of education. The Anthony R.
Abraham Foundation’s Mission is to Love, Honor,
Respect, and Empower the Lives of the Suffering,
Hopeless, and Forgotten and when we had the
opportunity to explore what Zeina and her board had
created we knew that they were truly in packing the
lives of those who have been forgotten and/or did not have the means to get a proper
education.
Today we were embraced by children from all different backgrounds living
with physical and mental handicaps that had an opportunity to showcase their talent
and work together with their classmates, some individually designed their own
artwork based on their interpretation of Romero Britto’s art while others utilize the
drawings that Romero had created on the canvases for them to Brittolize with their
own colors.
What was really inspiring was how each child was totally immersed into
creating their own masterpiece, they work so hard in mixing the colors adding their
own designs and utilizing their hands, Hingers and paintbrushes to create their

masterpieces. While all this was going on Romero walked from one canvas to the
other encouraging and participating in adding his own style to the artwork.

We always talk about how one experience in our lives to change the course of
the direction we take for our future. It doesn't have to be complicated it could just be
a spark about a book we read, a movie we see, a walk we take in the forced, just
inspiring words of our teachers, friends, parents. We can't take for granted that any
action we create for the beneHit of others cannot have an impact on their lives.
Today I believe Romero and the children both were enriched by the experience
of working together in utilizing pallets of color to bring about a sense of
accomplishment and creativity had to inspire these young kids to walk away with a
sense that they participated in something special today which they will never forget.
I know that Mr. Romero Britto and I truly walked away with a sense of
enlightenment and joy participating with the students and staff in creating long-
lasting memories of joy and happiness Hilled with the colors of love, hope, and
compassion and creativity. Teach A Child, thanks to its leadership and board
members have opened up another door of possibilities for these children were
looking for a brighter future.

We truly left this morning with a
greater appreciation of the work that
TEACH A CHILD does and are so pleased we
had the opportunity to visit with Zeina,
board members, staff and the students. We
received the gifts of humility and
appreciation that we have been blessed
with the knowledge that our visit was
enriched by our experience and the
experience of your students sharing our
wonderment of the joy they received in
playing with the colors of life in the creation of one heartfelt moment in time that
individuals can make a difference in the lives of those blessed by God’s blessing to
humanity.
We want to again thank you all, for allowing us the opportunity to be enriched
by the true meaning of empathy, compassion and love.
